By the way, is there any chance that we actually got more than one person to write the 'Fuck? Did we even get one person to write it?

Bump. There's no telling how long we may have to wait on the show to go up, so make yourself busy and contribute to this...

"This is what makes you tick... This is what makes you tick... THIS IS WHAT MAKES YOU TICK!" As someone who generally hates promos, I always mark out for that one... Another favorite WMVIII moment: Finkel announcing Taker as he comes down to the ring. "From Death Valley. Weighing three hundred twenty-eight pounds: thee... UUUUUN-DER-TAK-ER!" And then the bells chime, right on cue; still a mark-out moment for this thirty-something...

Dumbest Comment of the Day at TSM
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in No Holds Barred
Nah, didn't catch it, but I don't think it's an age thing. You're like two years older than I am. I wouldn't feel too bad; I'm four years older than him, and I don't get it, either. -
I'm late, but I'm in there; if I didn't get autojobbed for extreme tardiness, I like my chances...

The sort of people who cry about "unfair" are the sort of people who don't want to deal with the fact that they or their team couldn't close the deal, and want approbation from other people.

You'd fit right in on a Kings board... The bottom line is, we could have won it in Game 7, but we choked. If we were worthy, we would have won it... If the Suns were worthy, they would have, too.
-
Revisionist history. That's like my crybaby brethren saying that if Samaki Walker hadn't been given credit for that three pointer at halftime of Game 4 that shouldn't have counted, then the Kings would have beaten the Lakers in 2002, or if we hadn't been screwed in Game 6, that we would have won it... Just like in the Suns/Spurs series last year: you can believe they "woulda won" if you want to believe it, but that doesn't make it true.
-
I'll never believe the Suns can win the championship until I see them do it; AFAIC, the only elite team in the west they could beat in a seven-game series is the Mavericks, which means the only way the Suns could get to the Finals is if they can get the Mavericks to eliminate the Spurs for them.

1. Which team looks like the best bet to win the East? Detroit. The "Medium Sized 3" won't be enough this year. 2. Which team looks like the best bet to win the West? San Antonio 3. Which team looks like the best bet to win the NBA title? San Antonio 4. Which dark horse has a legitimate shot at surprising us and winning it all? Dallas. As I said last year, they're the only team, in my mind, that can beat San Antonio in a seven-game series. 5. Who's been the best rookie this season? Al Horford. He's Top 5 among rookies in scoring, rebounds (1st among rookies), blocks and steals, and also leads all rookies in double-doubles, all while starting out of position for a team that's currently in good shape to make the playoffs. 6. Who's the MVP so far? Chris Paul 7. Which team has the biggest disappointment? I seem to recall a lot of the talking heads figuring Chicago as a dark horse to make the Finals. So it's Chicago. 8. As we sit at the midpoint of the regular season, which story line or situation interests you most? Can Portland keep this up? Will they still be this good when Oden is integrated into their lineup next season?

I guess ABC doesn't cover Louisiana.

Bah. Sacramento is way better at giving up career highs (oh wait... you said good team)... I'm just glad that Utah let us off the hook, since Kleiza's previous career high was against us. Did anybody else see the game earlier this year where Damien F. Wilkins dropped 41 on the Hawks?

I won't be available for that show; after Clusterfuck, I need to take some time off. I'll let you know if I'll be available for FTF.

The Magic appear to have forgotten the eleventh commandment: Thou shalt not leave the white boy open behind the line.

Mr. S£im Citrus replied to Kawalimus's topic in General Chat
You need to learn Toad Style. Centipede won't stand a chance. -
WWE General Discussion - January 2008
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in The WWE Folder
That match would be epic... in a Gayda-esque sense... unless Triple H starts training her when she's twelve or something. And even then, it's not going to be any good; I can't imagine, even if Mae is still alive then, that she'll be able to take a bump without breaking every bone in her body. -
WWE General Discussion - January 2008
Mr. S£im Citrus replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in The WWE Folder
That's all well and good, as long as you happen to be one of those fans who's entertained by him. If you're anything like me, and you actually want to like WWE but can't stand shit like that, well... it's like a form of punishment... -
Okay, I'm re-doing my All-Star ballot; Brandon Roy has got to be on that motherfucker...

:: shrugs :: Being in the minority is nothing new to me.

Surprised you're not aware, as an ex-Lakers fan: Lakers are one of those teams where all the fans get tacos if they hold their opponent under a hundred. They gave up a hundred with seconds to go in the game.

Is this directed at me? Because I thought that I was pretty straightforward about why I think TNA should bring in Japanese women.
-
I remember watching that live, and I think that Shaq's second comment may have had as much to do with him getting fined as the first comment, if not more: I think, by comparison, Bynum at least appeared to be immediately regretful, or so I've been led to understand. That may make a difference.
-
I don't think this is really logical. Unless they import a Japanese female wrestler who is extremely talented and charismatic, I don't see how brining in someone like that would draw anything for TNA. I don't have an obligation to look at anything in terms of what draws and what doesn't; I'm not financing TNA. What I care about is what I want to see on my TV, which is good women's wrestling. It's like when people in the WWE folder complain about Cena; he makes the company scads of money, and it makes good business sense for WWE to have him as a central part of the show and/or as champion. I don't think that the people who hate Cena care whether or not he's over or a draw; why should I?
-
I just hope that ODB/Kong is as good, or close to as good, as Kong/Kim. I'm also hoping to see TNA import some real talent from overseas; Lord knows WWE won't.
