  1. Just don't make the same mistake that I did, which is namely waiting until you're thirty to figure out that it might be a good idea to have one. Contrary to what Kanye West would have you believe, most people would benefit from a college education.
  2. How close are you to finishing your degree?
  3. If you can pay rent to your parents, can't you pay it to a landlord? I mean, if you don't think that you make enough to afford rent in an apartment, you can always take out an ad for a roommate, like I suggested... but I've found that a working man can always find someplace to live, as long he's not picky about it. Are you picky about where you live? Is the "bad part of town" out of the question?
  4. You've got a job, don't you?
  5. .... Needs more chipotle. And Galatea.
  6. Move to Utah? You must be outside your mind. Now, if Raynor wants to move to Virginia... I may let him crash in my extra bedroom... Until he can find an apartment (or for two months, whichever comes first); I don't actually need a roomate.
  7. Raynor needs to take out an ad for a roommate (or flatmate, if you Brittons prefer), and move out of his parents house. At least that way, he doesn't have to worry about his dad telling him when he can or can't use the computer. Just sayin'...

  9. I meant from the perspective of "nobody thinks this is really ECW, do they?" At best, this will be McMahon's concept of what ECW ought to be. I don't dispute that McMahon is trying to make a buck, but it's not ECW, and personally I think that it shouldn't be called that.
  10. Did McMahon decide to sell ECW back to Heyman? Because, if not, I just don't see the point.
  11. Hell no; no way could I pull that off.
  12. Agree with Sarah's comments about comparative word limits... At the risk of too lengthy a sidebar, I had the most unbearable time my first year or so writing high word limit matches (and was *particularly* bad at writing PPV matches) because I'm the kind of writer that extra words simply do not help. For anything longer than six thousand words, I usually end up two thousand words or more of filler that actually detracts from the quality of my match. PPV was even worse, because at the time I joined, it seemed like everybody was writing 10K-12K matches on PPV, and I would try to "compete" with that... and fail miserably. I didn't hit my stride as a writer until I resolved not to try and force it; now I just use however many words it takes to get my point across (which usually isn't very many at all), and after that, I'm done. I don't think that I've had more than two matches in the last four months that even got as close as 90% of the posted word limit, but I've been much happier about my writing since I've decided to not even try to reach it, and I think more successful, too. [/sidebar] With respect to recruiting, I don't think that I can help any, as all the people that I hang out with and/or know online are around my age or older, and while some of them like wrestling, none of them have time to write about it.
  13. Fucking dickhead... I'm not typically attracted to females under twenty-five (they still look like children in the face to me), but I'm picking Raven in a blowout; Song is the only other one of those bitches that'd even get a second look from me. And I'm co-signing with BL; naiwf is a hater.
  14. Note to Drea: a small but possibly relevant change has been made to my stats ( ).
  15. Are you fucking serious?
  16. - Bloodshed indeed; I'd rather see Clark come back than Bloodshed, if he'd consider it, but that's mostly because I didn't "get" Bloodshed. - Two guys writing as two broads and, call me nutsy, but I find the prospect of this match to be more interesting than the prospect of the apparently impending Landon/Toxxic, part whatever. - Another solid match by Zyon; I'm not sure that five thousand words is enough to properly put over a "forty-five minute" match, but it was a good, fun read... - I have a mixed reaction about the Main Event, though: I thought that the action portions of the match were very well done, and it had a good mix of comedy bits that didn't make me roll my eyes (I have to admit, I marked for the homage to Hedberg), but the commentary killed the flow of the match for me. As apparently the only guy in the fed that doesn't hate Johnny, Drea's utter contempt for Dangerous was so overbearing that, at times, it made it hard for me to read past it and get into what was actually going on in the match. It's like, we get it, you think Dangerous is a tool; can we move on, please? I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of the show looks like, whenever it shows up.
  17. .... In that case, I really hope that Drea wrote, because I don't have time to ad-lib anything...
  18. That's the same thing as what happened to Riley, isn't it?
  19. I didn't look at coaches, but probably not. In fact, I'm pretty sure than only Riley and Jackson have even coached two hundred-plus playoff games among active coaches. He has more than Duncan, too, but you counted him...
  20. Uncle Cliffy got to the Finals twice; that's credentials enough in my book. Oh yeah, forgot this guy: http://www.nba.com/playerfile/sam_cassell
  21. So did Toxxic... I've *still* got egg on my face about that one...
  22. If Kurt Thomas can't go, Grant will either start, or be the first (only?) big man off the bench; that'll probably add up to 20 mpg, which will be decent enough.
  23. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/gary_payton http://www.nba.com/playerfile/robert_horry http://www.nba.com/playerfile/shaquille_oneal http://www.nba.com/playerfile/tim_duncan http://www.nba.com/playerfile/clifford_robinson How's that again?
  24. What do you mean "if?" Lamar Odom has "decent" playoff experience with his whole thirteen games for his career, but Brian Grant and Shawn Marion, with fifty-three and thirty-four games respectively are considered as an afterthought? Only "if" you claim them? Prior to 2004, when Wade carried him to the playoffs, Odom had only seen them on televsion, but he's got "decent" experience? And Brian Grant, who's been to the playoffs with every team he's ever played for *but* the Lakers, doesn't? The only two players in Phoenix's top nine that have less playoff experience than Odom are Eddie House (6 games) and Boris Diaw (0 games). Top ten, if Kurt Thomas is able to contribute anything for the playoffs.
  25. Hell no. Jackson also said that, when it's all said and done with, Kobe Bryant will have proven to be a better player than Jordan, an opinion that Marv Albert called him on when the two were calling the Nets/Celtics game later that night. What I thought was interesting was how they showed a graphic comparing their career points, rebounds and assists, with Jordan having a decisive advantage in all three categories. At the very bottom, they also had a ring count, with Jordan at six and Bryant at three... I'm going to go out on a limb and say that, when Kobe Bryant's career is over, that count will not have changed. I was astonished that Jackson had the gall to make that proclamation sitting right next to Scottie Pippen on NBA Shootaround on ABC. I was even more astonished that Pippen didn't punch him dead in his mouth.
