  1. You've never been on either one, have you?
  2. Don't worry, Sly, we can have a dark match together... Since the ME is billed as a "Crimson Tide" match, I have to ask: are you talking about BB-60, or SSBN-731?
  3. Good grief! Houston's beating the dogshit out of Seattle...
  4. You sound like the Geico gecko...
  5. No shit! That kind of injury could only happen to Sacramento...
  6. Garcia's back... and he's mostly back to playing as inconsistently as he was at the start of the season.
  7. I demand this picture.
  8. Well, they wouldn't be... if any-fucking-body else on the team could do it... especially the rebounding part; I think that Gawen is still statistically the team's rebounding leader.
  9. Probably because he's the only guy that can consistently hit an outside shot... He's also pretty much the only guy who moves without the basketball... Who would have thought five months ago that we'd even be entertaining the argument that the most valuable player on the team might be Kevin F. Martin? Shitdamnmotherfucker... the only thing worse than a Kings loss is a Kings loss that screws my fantasy teams at the same time...
  10. I'm guessing he's still cheesed over the AXE BOMBAAAAAAH~!
  11. Not a single one of Kornheiser's guests had more than one of the Final Four, and probably half of them didn't have any... I've got to listen to Kornheiser's show tomorrow.
  12. That's a matter of opinion, and your opinion is wrong. The second-best team that the Clippers have had since Brand was traded there was in 2001, and Brand, Odom, Maggette, McInnis, Richardson <<<< Brand, Cassell, Maggette, Mobley, Kaman. That team couldn't shoot, rebound or defend. only four players shooting 44% or better from the field, compared to eight in 2005-06. Most of the players were inexperienced; there was no one on that team that they could turn to down the stretch. Brand and Maggette are better players now than they were then, especially Maggette; they have matured, and they have a much more matured and much more talented team around them. So, basically your argument is that the Clippers had more talent when they had Lamar Odom, and there is nothing to support that at all. Odom only played with Brand two years: the first year, they were mediocre, and the second year, they were godawful. They were not a deeper team years ago, and if they were, then they wouldn't have spent the past several years struggling to win thirty games. Cuttino Mobley is better than Quentin Richardson, Kaman is better than Olowokandi (or whoever the hell else they've had at center), and Cassell is the best point guard that they've had since Norm Nixon. This is the best team that the Clippers have had, by far, since moving to Los Angeles. This will be the sixth time in their franchise history that the Clippers have made the playoffs, but this Clippers team is on track to finish better than all of them; they're almost a lock to finish with at least forty-six wins, which would automatically make them the second-best team in franchise history, and might have a shot at hitting forty-nine, which would make them the best team in franchise history... and, if they *aren't* the Clipper team of all time, they're definitely the best team since 1975, which would make them the best team of my lifetime, and probably yours, too. The Clippers haven't overachieved so much as the Kings, Rockets and Timberwolves have all underachieved. It's not the same thing; if anything, the Clippers are capitalizing on their ineptitude... The only team in the west that has truly "overachieved" is New Orleans: most people predicted them to finish dead last, and they still have a shot at making the playoffs.
  13. You're insane. Not only do the Clippers not have "much less" talent than years ago, they probably have better talent. As far as your ridiculous assertion that they have "mediocare" talent, Elton Brand is not mediocre talent. Neither is Sam Cassell, nor Corey Maggette, nor Cuttino Mobley, nor Chris Kaman. Jeff McInnis, Darius Miles and Michael Olowokandi are mediocre players. Marko Jaric is a mediocre player. Eric Piatkowski is a mediocre player. The team that the Clippers have now is the best team that they've ever had... and you're looking the obvious reason why they're not "overachieving" to be the fourth-best team in the west this year: because they should be the fourth-best team in the west this year. There aren't five teams in the west that are better than them, on paper or otherwise; they're better than the Nuggets, better than the Grizzlies, and *way* better than any other team below them. If they weren't the fifth seed, they'd be under-achieving.
  14. You don't get that the Clippers aren't "overacheiving," and that their being the fourth-best team in the western conference is not an accident; if anything, they're finally living up to their potential.
  15. Like who? I'll bet that more active players got their career highs in at least one stat against Sacramento than any other team. We lead the league in making scrubs look like All-NBA players; does the name Tony F. Delk mean anything to you?
  16. Wait a minute: did I just insult Asians, or lesbians, or both? Or neither? Or, did my attempt at humor just die on the table?
  17. Nope, same lesbian; I know they all look alike, but...
  18. Damn if I know what it is about the Kings that makes Kwame Brown temporarily un-shitty, but I think that six of the seven best games of his career have come against Sacramento... On second thought, I know exactly what it is: we're too goddamned soft! Some of these pussified 6'10" jumpshooters make me sick... fucking sissies: get in the paint and knock somebody around! Why do all these soft fuckers get to win the genetic lottery? Let me be 6'10"...
  19. Shit. Damn. Motherfucker.
  20. That's probably the most random cameo posting by a retiree all month...
  21. For a minute, I was starting to wonder if I was the only person who thought like that...
  22. Enquiring minds want to know...
  23. Obviously. The whole idea is predicated on the idea that neither one of them actually wants it. If one or both of them actually did, then it'd have to lead to HLA, I guess. It's a stupid idea, I know... but it can't be any worse than what's on RAW right now...
