  1. Who wants to bet -iB- is smoking the weeds he dug out of his own garden right now?
  2. Kevin Nash said that Triple H has been overworking so much that he has simply let his body slip, as he hasn't the time or energy to maintain his old physique. He looks fine, just not as super-buff as his younger Evolution buddies. UYI
  3. I wanted Jeff. .. Shut up. UYI
  4. I always wondered how Triple H could hang around someone like Flair, who's been in the business twice as long as anyone else in WWE, and not wake up to himself in terms of his political backstage antics. One may argue Flair isn't one to talk, but it's still comforting Flair has his head on straight and is feeding Hunter the right advice. UYI
  5. I think Triple H's mega title reign gave the belt an abundance of credibility that has seen it surpass the real WWE title in terms of value. I've been a fan of Hunter's ever since he set foot into WWE, and I'd rather the business maintain its' focus on someone like Hunter, as opposed to someone like Hogan. That is, however, just choosing the lesser of two evils. Guys like Jericho, Benoit & Guerrero are the most reliable workers in the company, if not America, and I think it's been a great move by Vince to base his main storylines and angles on these individuals.
  6. This won't go over well.. Kevin Nash vs Goldberg - Starrcade 1998. I was, arguably, the biggest Nash mark on the face of the planet at the time, not to mention still only a young chap and was in full-kayfabe mode. Due to my love of Nash, I also couldn't get enough of the nWo. Therefore, it should be no surprise that I absolutely hated Goldberg with a passion, and was literally leaping around my lounge room, hands in the air, when Nash powerbombed Goldberg and ended his streak. That was such an amazing moment for me and I still mark out everytime I watch that match. See, *some* people did get enjoyment out of Nash's WCW run. UYI
  7. Ah, the days when a DDT was considered high risk.
  8. I agree with BBCW here (!!!). There is no way in hell I'd shell out 20 bucks (AUS) to watch any PPV with Christian in the main event, because, as Charlie said, there is no way in hell Vince would ever stick a World title on him. He's just fine where he is. At least with Kane, there is a some thread of unpredictability.
  9. Like I need to even give approval here.
  10. Christian does very little for me. Edge was always the star of that team and always struck me as the one with the greatest potential. I'm not denying Christian is getting great reactions now, but it's taken Chris Jericho and Trish Stratus to do it, take that away and your left with the same, old, predictable Christian. No thanks. UYI
  11. Oh, bullshit. Triple H obviously wanted Steiner to come in and be something for the company, after all - he headlined two PPV's with him in the World Title match. No Rock or Angle could of made Steiner look any better. His return blew up in his face because of his own physical condition, which it has already been established in this thread that it is entirely his fault for the way he has ended up today. UYI
  12. There are some brand new videos, fresh from E3, up at IGN... http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/552/552223/vids_1.html UYI
  13. Triple H worked his sorry ass off to make Steiner look like something credible at the Royal Rumble, and Steiner still blew it.
  14. Um, he WAS a main eventer. Things just didn't quite work out for him because, you know, he's awful.
  15. Christian can never be taken seriously in the main event. I realise someone on this board actually said this in the other Bad Blood thread, but I also believe that, after the way he's been portrayed over his career, the fans (and Vince) won't take Christian seriously as a contender. Kane, when he's motivated, is hard-pressed to break ** unless he is in there with some kind of wrestling God. Thankfully, he will be. UYI
  16. Exactly. And he can't still do that shit without being thrusted into the World Title picture. His character can work if the company allows it to. It just seems like they don't. So what exactly is your solution? Have Steiner come out every Smackdown! and beat the living piss through everyone? He's worthless on the mic, he gives some of the most incoherrant promos I've ever had the displeasure of hearing, and he risks his life everytime he even tries to walk, yet alone do anything of an extended physical nature. He was also half-killing people in 2001 in WCW with his ultra-stiff moveset, so I wouldn't approve of him being in any matches. I agree with you on the fact that his character is quite entertaining, I said months and months ago that Steiner was one of few guys left that *really* knew how to play an effective heel 100% of the time they were in the ring (such as randomly storming off during a match to go to hit a fan etc.). However, the only solution I can think of where Steiner can showcase this character is in an Austin-like role, and wrestling is just fine without another one of those. UYI
  17. I really liked the Nash vs HHH HIAC match. Considering Nash was at 9% and Hunter wasn't feeling that great either, they did the impossible and had a somewhat decent match. Whoever planted this retarded Jericho vs Benoit idea needs to be taken out back and shot for getting everyones hopes up. Kane is being built back up again for a reason - to face Benoit at Badd Blood. I'll still buy the show. UYI
  18. Thats why ECW rocked. They also never turned a profit and went bankrupt.
  19. Luger was over, but not over enough, and certainly not 'crazy over'. That's why his babyface run fell flat on its face. He failed. UYI
  20. Ring entrances start and end with The Undertaker. I only wish he would go back to hitting the lights with the huge 'BANG!', ala Summerslam 1997, rather than just slowly raise them. However, either way is fucking awesome. If I had to pick someone other than Taker, I'd say I'd want to do Hunter's entrance. His is, by far, the second best entrance I've ever seen. Just reeks bad ass. UYI
  21. And my point was that *everyone* knows you rot in the ground when you die, thus making Tom's point just a tad more believeable. Wasn't taking shots at you or anything, sorry if I came across that way.
  22. The match is heavily overrated (Flair/Hunter). However, for a long-time Triple H & Ric Flair mark, like myself, it was golden from start to finish. To your average smark, though, it didn't really offer much. I'd love for them to re-do that match again, as HHH is in work-a-holic mode right now and Flair is still God, carrying around his tag partner and making good matches out of him. UYI
  23. You're all fucking weirdos. This is coming from a Michael Jackson fan. UYI
  24. How do you know? How do you know otherwise? There is all the proof in the world that people rot in the ground when they die. It is not Tom's job here to prove he is right, because he already is. If anyone should be asking the 'How do you know?' question, it's Dr.Tom in this situation. UYI
