They're always a lame and unnecessary hook, only there so the company can gouge consumers on already overpriced books for the sake of profit. People don't buy comics because of fancy covers. Especially because these covers only have tendency to show up during big events, people buy because of the importance of the book itself. However, I'm not opposed to multiple covers, but for the love of god, don't go overboard with the fancy graphics, and please keep them at or near the price of the "regular" cover. Now, not that I really buy comics anymore, and only follow when something is on my mind, but good for Marvel. Now hopefully they don't fuck it up.

Fuck, I hate Eugene. "Wrestling prodigy" or not, Triple H and Flair being forced to oversell for him is pathetic.

I prefer the idea of three sets of announcers, or a different team on one of the shows, just for breaking up the monotony. Yes, it could get confusing, but an "on commentary" heading along with the venue/due date/etc should remedy that well enough. However, aside from the endless superhero and gay jokes, I have no problem with the way things are now, but that's probably because I've only written a handful of matches with Comet and Riley. Chances are I'll be completely sick of the team in a few months. Other than that I absolutely hate three man teams. It's a hinderance to the match, and as Dace said, doesn't flow at all. 80-90% of the time, I would just ignore the third person altogether.

Once you hit the page, you have to enter a space after the URL. The people and I demand Plastic Man.

You basically have it right. It's more or less game and anime geeks gathering in masses, dressed as their favorite characters.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Here's his IMDB profile. I'd like to have Whistler there permanently as well. Although, from what I was to understand, it wasn't Whistler's duty to get involved as heavily as a Doyle, he was only there to give people an initial shove in the right direction. -

Personally, I'd bring in Whistler initially. Have him be the one to stop Connor, with all the "this isn't your fight and you're needed here" talk, along with the overview of who he is, how he got Angel started, recapping of some of Angel's exploits, etc. Then maybe in the middle of the episode, or preferrably at the end, the new PTB contact shows up to take over, as he and Connor leave the hotel. -

Xander losing an eye was great, it was one of the true shockers in an otherwise underwhelming season. It defined his role and purpose in relation to the others, at a time when he desperately needed it due to being lost in the shuffle, and it helped to put over Caleb as a real threat. -
No. It's nothing more than another take on the logo, one not even radically different from the basic bat that we've seen before.

The KINGDOME~ was erected as a tribute to the greatest heel of all time and former SWF Commissioner The Suicide King, aka Brain Applewhite, aka The King of Hearts. He's still working on getting the Sacramento Kings to move there. And I don't think I rival Annie in returns quite yet. Counting the number of times I've left for extended periods of time (month or more) and came back, I'm only up to four or five occasions.

Wrong. SMB2 wasn't a Mario game at heart, but was still good fun. Elements from 2 began coming into play as early as SMB3, and it's those elements which continue to be associated with Mario today; elements I couldn't imagine him existing without (more enemies, the ability to pick up certain things, better characterization and personalities for characters). Considering the Japanese SMB2 was, more or less, a harder SMB1, I doubt it would have been as important to the overall development of Mario as SMB2 was.

If by chance you're mistaken on the water thing, Turbo Teen may be it.

Benoit is the world champion; not HHH or HBK. On something like a PPV, the champion's match should get top billing, no matter what. It's no wonder people see Benoit as inferior when he's been continually pushed to the background in favor of HBK/HHH's issues. There's no excuse for Benoit -as the champion- not being in the headlining match on PPV. Everyone remembers the PPV match ahead of the TV match. It was the PPV match in which Michaels went over completely clean. That's what people remember, not Jericho getting a win a couple months on Raw after the fact. The Jericho/Michaels Raw match was, simply put, a lousy footnote which served not to put over Jericho/Michaels, but Evolution/Michaels. It was riddled with interference, and all in all, was a completely subpar match in comparison to its predecessor. Flair and Orton's copious interference, like it or not, put a damper on Jericho's win. While Jericho didn't exactly get the liontamer straight out of Orton's RKO, since he decided to go for the pin first, that RKO didn't exactly hurt in getting Jericho the upper hand and carrying the match to the finish. Let's face it, to the average fan, Jericho wouldn't have won were it not for all that interference. It wouldn't have been a grave disservice for Jericho to get the same consideration HBK got earlier; a clean win in a clean match. Not to mention, the hype after the match wasn't about a Jericho win at all; it was all about the interference. HBK still came out of the match smelling like roses, while Jericho got the short end of the stick, despite the victory.

It should be fine.

You're mistaken once again, DFA.

What does that mean?!? Eugene has the same attributes as Benoit, so are you saying that Eugene should be the next World Champion? I think not. The fuckin crowd cheers for any finisher, which is why he gets pop's at the end of his matches, so don't base his popularity on that...... THANKS~! KJ Do you even watch his matches? Typically, the fans are into it constantly, throughout the course of the match, not just at the end when Benoit hits the finish. And, no, fans don't pop for any finisher. And in that case, I implore you and others not to base Benoit's popularity on something as shallow as entrance pops.......................... THANKS~!

Because you've been proven as having an IQ of 75 time and time again, with no way to back up your opinions, and no way of stating them with any semblance of intelligence in the first place. Anyway, what was already said must be stated again. Benoit comes out to modest pops, but manages to get the fans on their feet, cheering, by the end of the night. His mic skills, character, charisma, etc ARE FINE. His mic skills and promos are befitting of his character. His character is a gritty, back to basics wrestler who just goes out and gets it done with minimal posturing. Besides the point, how is Orton's cocky character (which doesn't have much depth to it, I may add) any better or worse than that. Benoit's charisma is purely in-ring, as I said and others have said, in his ability to draw people into matches. How these three things are somehow unbefitting of being World Champion, I'll never know. Bottom line, Benoit's overness can't be judged by tonight, when he consistently gets good pops and reactions in other places besides Ohio, and ratings have gone upward, reaching 4.0 during his reign during the first time in god knows how long. While Benoit is booked correctly in matches, how is he really expected to reach the upper echelon when he doesn't get half the screen time of Evolution, and his reign has taken a backseat to the HBK/HHH saga?

What a poor Raw. As for the final match, it was really dragging and at points they seemed legitimately lost, not knowing where to go with the match next, especially Flair. It can't be more than **1/2-***. Even *** might be generous.

I propose banning all of these stupid fucks, personally.

I've thought about the barcode thing also, to be placed on the top of one of my hands, or the inside of the wrist. I have no idea what I'd have it encoded with though, if I were to do so. For some reason I think a horse from My Little Pony, beheaded and laying in a pool of its own blood and guts would suit IDRM.

I've been biding my time, but the masterful triple post has drawn me out.

I got Angel. -
I've been thinking about tattoos for a while, since age 16 or 17 at the least, but I haven't gone through with anything yet, thankfully. I just want to make sure I don't get something I'll regret. Although one of my musts is a Thundercats logo, that I'll be getting for sure.

While I haven't read your columns yet, I and many others won't likely do so until you fix this one thing -- the match segments. You really, really need to break them up into paragraphs.
