I find it hard to go back to watching standard definition after watching HD. I'm not thinking "this is only 480 instead of 1080," but I'm thinking "man, this looks out of focus." My brain recognizes the difference right away.
Add to the fact that digital cable makes SD things generally look crappy on a big HDTV, and I know what you mean.
Good christ that was stupid. ANALOG is generally what you will have issues with, and no matter the source for your SD, if you have artifacts it will only be magnified the bigger the set goes.
I swear, it's like retards are all up in this bitch.
You know full fucking well that HD tuners have a problem decoding SD signals, when it is from the built in tuners or the ones that the cable company gives you.
Bottom line if you get a HD TV, you might as well be prepared to get a shitter SD picture.
I said what again? Oh yeah, analog. An ADS market doesn't usually have that issue unless there are artifacts due to poor signal into the home which will be magnified by a bigger screen. If you don't live in a market that is ADS? Then yes, it will look like crap due to the nature of the beast, not so much the tuner.
