Well, up until a month-or-so ago, I suppose we were going through something that was not unlike a drought. Then began the three week period where, except for a couple of breaks, it rained all day, every day.

Like how could I not include Wire's "Ex-Lion Tamer" in that list? I was well aware and plenty appreciative of that song then, but it's not on that list. Why not? Such a great song.

It's not so much being proud as it is recognizing I have good taste.

If I were to listen to it now, I'm sure I could pick out some nice bits. So, I'm not saying it's worthless. Anyway, for what it's worth, even when I thought it was good, the album's back half totally dragged.

Considering the source material and that the release of The Sixth Sense predated the film version of Fight Club by only a couple of months, that is a bad comparison.

The gauzey love scene in the Redux was so unintentionally hilarious.

The title track to Deerhunter's Cryptograms is another favorite; "Lake Somerset" from that same album is also fantastic.

That said, I also feel very strongly about !!!'s "Must Be the Moon," though its parent album, Myth Takes, isn't a threat to my meager list of favorites from this year.

LCD Soundsystem - "All My Friends" Sound of Silver is the best album of 2007, too, but you knew that.
