Ever get "embarassed" for not knowing someone famous?
Hank Kingsley replied to a topic in General Chat
I thought Tom Jane was a homeless guy once. He just wanted his kids back. -
My Fantasy and Social Values anthropology class this semester has the following books: The Left Hand of Darkness (Le Guin) The Mote in God's Eye (Niven) Dune (Herbert) The Dispossessed (Le Guin) Ender's Game (Card) Riddley Walker (Hoban) Left Hand is first, and it's...interesting. I need to get used to reading sci-fi.

Yep, looks like I spoke too soon. Come on, Charlottesville? What the hell. I can't even get a break from hurricanes for at least one season.

That's what I've been waiting for! Coincidentally, the girl I'm sorta seeing right now resides in Watson. -

You're expecting me to show? *prepares 1k masterpiece* -
Of course Arnett was robbed, but I expected that. Best Writing, on the other hand, was highway robbery. Come on!

Hooray for being in central VA and not having to deal with that shit for the time being.

The only chant I don't like in any fed is "You fucked up." Anything else makes the match feel exciting. I find stuff from ECW, ROH, and TNA shows more watchable than WWE because the crowd is so into the match, keeping me interested too.

That reminds me of Baby Mario's crying when you got hit in that game. Jesus that was the worst thing ever.

Punk's corner shining wizard was cool, until the replay showed him smacking his thigh to make the sound. The roundhouse kick (and running bootscrape--thanks Joe!) were fucking sicknasty, though. Now give him someone like Mamaluke or Guido so they can really go.

I'll be pessimistic and expect blown spots, overbooking, and Angle getting seriously injured again. I hope I'm wrong.

...What the fuck? Seriously, I was hoping that was a typo and the reporter meant to say the match would be at No Surrender. But...ugh. Boneheaded decision-making there.
-
I missed being at this show live by about 5 days. Suffice to say I'm not disappointed in the least.

How many times has Jarret vs. Hot-streak Face happened? Face wins, Jarrett gets the belt back eventually. It's getting old. Beating a certifiable legend like Sting would mean a lot more for Joe's title reign.

Speaking of ridding TSM of blacks, how about deleting the "What Films Did You Watch" today thread, since it's a waste of bandwith. Some people attempted to add actual film reviews, but it's cluttered with Blackflagg posting the movie's poster and a rating.

So much for Sting/Joe. They went the expected, overbooked route.

There's a post on the first page that is constantly updated with results. Sounds like a good show despite the difficulties.

Hmm, LAX lost? Not sure how I feel about that, I figured they'd get the titles to look strong out of the gate. Unless it was such that they were so obsessed with injuring Styles & Daniels that they made a mistake and got surprise-pinned.

I was such an obsessed 5-year old that, after playing my SNES nonstop since 92, I named my first dog Yoshi. And being that age, I was also obsessed with TMNT, so Turtles in Time probably got the most playing time out of any SNES game I had. The music in that game ruled. When one of my friends got Wrestlemania 2000 for N64, we stayed up all night playing 40-man pinfall/submission battle royals as lower-carders, usually Steve Blackman, Meanie, or Mideon. Resident Evil Code: Veronica, since that was the first RE I actually beat by myself. Getting Playstation in Christmas of 95 or 96, and wowing my entire family with the CGI intro of Tekken. Back when I used to reserve games, I remember getting so pissed because Die Hard Trilogy for Playstation was constantly delayed. It was almost worth it when I finally got it, except you needed a gun for Die Hard 2 or else it was practically unplayable. Breaking my good Dual Shock controller out of frustration because of the insanely cheap CPU in tag matches in ECW Hardcore Revolution. The game I've probably beaten the most has to be Zelda: Link's Awakening. It was such an enormous game with so much to do (Secret Seashells, the trade game, stealing from the shop, Ocarina) that I loved every second. Being unable to put Super Mario 64 down when I first played it in a Target kiosk in 96. Building up my Dreamcast collection in 99 en route to its becoming my sentimental favorite system.

Not necessarily.

How much are TNA pay-per-views, anyway?

I will never trust Felonies! with my secrets

Rules all. Man, this whole "writing singles matches" really sucks after steamrolling the tag division for so long ( ). I have to get used to it again.
