  1. My favorite shot is a Baby Guinness, which I discovered in Ireland. Fill the shot glass 2/3 with Kahlua, then pour Bailey's on top (using the wall). Looks like a Guinness, tastes nothing like it. I've also heard of it being made with Tia Maria, but I haven't tried that.
  2. Foley's promo was great, everything else sucked.
  3. August 29th. I hope there are a lot more commentaries than previous seasons (one on each disc? COME ON).
  4. Mr. Tom Flesher turns 24 today, which, for those wondering, is only eleven years away from elgibility for the Presidency. Holler if you hear me! Happy Birthday to my tag partner. Get so smashed tonight that your brother has to wake up at 4 to pick you up.
  5. In Cold Blood is really, really great. I was inspired to read it after seeing Capote, and it did not disappoint. Whereas the movie focused mostly on Capote's friendship with Perry Smith and how that friendship was affecting his view of the murders, the book goes into detailed (albeit sometimes too detailed) accounts of the history, thoughts, and actions of not just the victims but both killers, as well as the detectives and other related events. Capote really builds a sense of empathy, not surprisingly mostly for Perry Smith, and when he is finally hanged there is a sense of sadness. But Dick Hicock can burn in hell for all I care. I think the most well-written scenes were the interrogation of Hicock and the graphic description of the murders. "I thought he was a nice man. Soft spoken. I thought that right up until I cut his throat." gives me chills.
  6. Okay, myth on the finish nonsense. But yeah, I'd like to know why Vince actually gets out of the announce booth and talks to Earl and Shawn. Obviously in kayfabe they played it up like Vince was checking on them after the bump.
  7. Re: Mind Games 1996. I heard that Vince changed the finish to the match after the table bump (he takes off his headset and talks to Earl and Shawn). What was the original finish and why was it changed so close to the end?
  8. Anyone notice JBL mentioning his Germany incident? Pretty funny.
  9. At least I'm Your Papi liked it.
  10. Loved the aforementioned opener and main event, and Angle's interview. The other stuff wasn't good, but still harmless. They should devote a segment every week to "ECW Flashback" or something, I think it could help some wrestlers get over with the audience. Say they showed an old BWO clip, or Balls with the flaming table, or Doring & Roadkill as a tag team. Show that they weren't always just JTTS.
  11. Just search Youtube for "Thunder Blunders."
  12. Prince - 1999 I usually turn it off after "D.M.S.R.," if I even get that far after the first 3. (that's not to say it's not an overall great album, but the hits are definitely lined up first)
  13. Ditto on the choking up more than actually crying. also: Magnolia (the Cruise-Robards scene) The Royal Tenenbaums & The Life Aquatic
  14. I remember marking Zyon's first several matches and watching the improvement. You've come a long way, and I'm pumped to see you in the main event now.
  15. I was an 11 year-old mark and a huge Wolfpack fan, so of course I loved it. I was pretty much indifferent to Goldberg until he beat Sting on Nitro after Hogan interference, then it was war.
  16. torrentspy.com
  17. A scintillating Big Show vs. Kane house show main event from October 1999. Included run-ins from Viscera and Mideon, too. Actually, looking at the card now, I remember that the whole show sucked except for the opener: Edge & Christian defeated Matt & Jeff Hardy WWF Women's Champion Ivory defeated Luna The Big Bossman defeated WWF Hardcore Champion Al Snow in a non-title nightstick match Joey Abs defeated Sean Stasiak WWF IC Champion Jeff Jarrett defeated X-Pac Mideon & Viscera defeated Stevie Richards & the Blue Meanie Test defeated Gangrel X-Pac defeated Jerry Lawler Kane defeated the Big Show I got the joy of seeing X-Pac twice since he "won" the title, but Lawler pointed something out resulting in a Dusty Finish leading to X-Pac's "revenge." Luckily, I was a mark at the time and didn't walk out too disappointed, except that I didn't see Triple H or Jericho or Foley.
  18. I really love the push Sabu is getting. And Edge stopping Rolling Thunder with a dropkick kicked ass.
  19. Thanks for posting those videos.
  20. How is Sabu "damn sure genocidal?"
  21. "He touched me."
  22. Still my favorite thread ever.
  23. I'm really looking forward to Netherlands/Ivory Coast.
  24. I'm glad this was brought up, since I found that they're selling the Cactus Jack "Wanted Dead" shirt. Kick ass.
  25. I've always been a huge Landon mark, so, awesome. Happy Birthday! And CIA. I wish he'd still come around.
