Well look at who you have on the shows. Reali from New York, Kornheiser from New York, Smith from Boston, Bob Ryan from Boston. They're Yankees or Sox fans, of course they're gonna dwell on that.

But I think most fish are safe, it's just some that are a higher risk.

Can the Food Folder just have the same folder status as everything else instead of being tucked in GC? It's the only one like that (not counting the archives), and I know with outlines, you can't have an A without a B, you can't have a 1 without a 2, so forth down the line.

You know me too well, Rudo. That or you bear an encyclopedic knowledge of your Gilmore Girls boxed sets. But yeah you see Jess and Luke both blow up at each other, and they have the same pissed-off walk as they go down the bridge, cuz they're family and all, then all of a sudden, down he goes. Awesome. Oh, I just saw the "poor bunny" moment. Golden

Great pizza is in Chicago. You're not on the wrong street, you're in the wrong part of the country.

On swordfish, I heard you're supposed to avoid it because the mercury content is too high or something.

Florida winning the World Series didn't do shit. It was the preceding pair of LCSs that mattered. The World Series itself was an afterthought. Oh what it probably did was further the fallacy that smallball is a viable style of play regardless of your lineup, cough cough, Dusty Baker, cough cough.

They don't know the pitching matchups when they write out the schedules for TV

Brian Gewirtz leaves WWE writing team
The Czech Republic replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Okay I've been out of the loop since 1NS. Who the hell came up with "Kerwin White"> -
Season 2, episode 5, about 37.30 in. I'm gonna watch that over and over and it'll never stop being funny.

Yeah but Indy racing needs some marketable personality. It's all Brazilians out there. And I don't think she did THAT badly, either.

Son of a gun, that 3-run homer sure worked for the Braves. When's a good time to bunt again, Bob?

You know, the fact that people still haven't come back to baseball after the strike, given how everybody else has and baseball is huge again and so on so forth, is kinda weird and childish.

Is there a way to find out someone's IP
The Czech Republic replied to Matt Young's topic in No Holds Barred
I dunno, get him to post at an Invision Forum you made yourself, then get his IP from there. You might have to work with Hosted-Forums to build your board, though, and we don't like them because they will check in on it a very day and all that shit, and oh fuck it who cares -
Go Chiefs. I love Freddie Mitchell. As a fellow person who talks shit without being able to deliver, I wholeheartedly endorse him and wish him the best.

I'll take Dunn. OBP would be great. He better not go to Houston though, now that they've finally gotten their shit together. So would a good lineup be Hairston Walker Garciaparra Lee Burnitz Dunn Ramirez Barrett Pitcher ?

Corey Patterson may run like Mays, but he hits like shit.

So when was the last time Jeter didn't make the ASG? Even if he doesn't this year, McCarver will praise him and scold us for not voting him in.

You can replace "Las Vegas" with "New Orleans" and most of that paragraph makes perfect sense. Meaning, the NBA will go there anyway.
-
EDIT: double post. To make it count, I'll add: Patterson needs to be dropped in the order, benched, or taught how to swing a bat. Home runs are great, Corey, but they count more when there are men on base. When you bat leadoff, there are not men on base so often. Thus, instead of swinging for the fences every damn at-bat, get on first so that somebody else can swing for the fences later in the order. Someone like Derrek Lee, Aramis Ramirez, or Jeromy Burnitz. I hear they're pretty good at that stuff! All in all, it seems like we've put together a team that Earl Weaver would have loved, strong pitching rotation, power hitters, and we're trying to play small ball. Why is Jeromy Burnitz trying to steal a base. I mean really. Kasper and/or Brenly always bring up that the Cubs lead the majors in home runs, as if it's a bad thing. How about bringing up that they're dead last in drawing walks, which really IS a bad thing. It makes a hell of a lot more sense to rely on the longball than to rely on sacrifice bunts and stolen bases, especially with this bunch of guys. Just get on base and stay on base. That's the last piece of the puzzle, I think.

The Houston Astros have quietly snuck back into third place, only 2.5 back of the Cubs, who are stuck at .500 AGAIN. Why oh why are my Cubs doing so badly? I really don't get it. It seems like it should be so easy to win with this team, and they're not. Who knows where they'd be without Derrek Lee. What is it going to take to right this ship?

Should the U.S. pull out of Iraq immediately?
The Czech Republic replied to cbacon's topic in Current Events
We probably should, but we can't, because to "cut and run" at this juncture would mean everything we've worked so hard to fix in Iraq would fall apart in virtually an instant. Hindsight being 20/20, we probably shouldn't have gone over there, but at the time, it seemed like it was justified (and who's to say there aren't weapons still being concealed outside of the country?). That said, we might as well see this to its completion, but do everything to make sure it's a speedy process. But bailing out of Iraq isn't going to help anybody. -
There you have the complete argument against fan voting, folks
