The world is filled with people who said they'd "just take a year off from college." Go somewhere, and go now: even if it's just junior college you're at least keeping your mind sharp in preparation for the big leagues. Unless you REALLY need the money you'll get from working long hours for a year, just go to school. But if you just take a year off to sit around, watch talk shows, be a townie and show up at high school parties, you're dead where you stand. Just advice not from my own personal experience, but from what I've seen happen to other graduates.

We can't rename it Folder 17. They're rearranged alphabetically there, and renaming it Folder 17 would screw up the order and make it Folder 15, which would sort of make it cool to call it Folder 17 notwithstanding, but maybe not.

But...the A's don't need a new stadium. The Oakland Coliseum looks to be in fine shape structurally, and the A's seem to be quite comfy there. Don't they have the best home field advantage in baseball? They don't need some typical retro park, just let them keep doin' their thing in that big ugly concrete thing with its huge-ass foul territory.

Reggie Miller looks sort of normal, at last not Top 10, and is surprisingly articulate for an NBA superstar. Charles Barkley would be the first to tell you that Sam Cassell should be #1. Come on! The guy looks like E.T.! Barkley said so!
