  1. I can see it now. From Granada Spain! Shelton Benjamie, Orlando Johnson, and the rehired Faarooq! The MOORS! Okay, first of all, it's Benjamin. Second of all, it's Jordan. And most of all, everybody knows they were the Moops.
  2. Picked him up a few days ago for a two-week contract. Sounds like a loophole deal to me. I must ask: who at ESPN has a hard-on for the Golden State Warriors? They've had two Friday night games in the last several weeks and they're really just an average team.
  3. OILERS BEAT PREDATORS. A few pertinent games against St. Louis and L.A., even Dallas, remain on the schedule, and if they pick up regulation wins against those teams, we'll see all of Canada in April.
  4. Deep down I want a UIC win, but I picked Kansas to go over the Flames.
  5. Who's in net for the Oilers these days? Conklin and who else?
  6. Meh... I haven't recently seen what he can do. However, I was more impressed with Kippy than Turkey. I meant Turek. Turkey just seems to flow off the fingers so well. Maybe it's because it's because I haven't eaten in seven hours?
  7. I thought Roman Turkey had been pretty hot as of late and was doing well but whatever
  8. "You'd better pay your taxes...or I'll rape you."
  9. I think actually they are real.
  10. That's what I get for not reading the article. Oops.
  11. Who was it that had "how many halves are in a college basketball game" on an exam?
  12. No doubt the Bulls will retire 33. Will the Trail Blazers and Rockets as well? I doubt it, personally. Is Stockton's number retired in Salt Lake City yet?
  13. In OVW news, Eric Angle suffered a paper cut. He's expected to be out for 6 to 8 weeks. Eric was cut from OVW last year. Man, it's worse than we thought. -=Mike Oh. Well fancy that. I just tried to think of the most fragile wrestler I could, barring Ahmed Johnson.
  14. Scottie Pippen has retired, so they say on NBA Fastbreak. Thanks for everything, man, and I hope Chicago retires his number along with him.
  15. I don't know these things...I just assumed Tennessee loved its wrestling. Of course if they ran WM21 there Lawler would have to get a token match. Yeesh.
  16. In OVW news, Eric Angle suffered a paper cut. He's expected to be out for 6 to 8 weeks.
  17. They could easily do the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, except for the unfortunate problem that the damn thing is in Los Angeles. What is the sound of 200,000 hands being sat on? Sun Devil Stadium...sure as hell wouldn't rain there, would it? Also, the Titans Coliseum would be a nice venue--indistinct as a football field, but in a wrestling hotbed nonetheless.
  18. Ban the dark blue Toronto sweaters...those just plain suck. Oh and by the way, these are the Eastern Conference first round matches if the playoffs started today. Hell yeah. Tampa Bay Lightning vs. New York Islanders Philadelphia Flyers vs. New Jersey Devils Boston Bruins vs. Montreal Canadiens Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Ottawa Senators I like that setup. All we need is a late run from Edmonton in the west to bump the Preds out and get ourselves an awesome Stanley Cup tournament.
  19. I predicted a Calgary upset of Detroit in the second round this year to my friend who was like "no way man, Wings sweep all four" and this certainly doesn't make him look right.
  20. Damn. Yeah I like PNC Park for a show. Angle could get a big hometown pop, and a hardcore match could spill into the Allgeheny River. What fun, what fun. Wrigley Field would also have a cool setting to it...they should arrange camera angles and seating in either ballpark to get an awesome background for the ring for certain shots. Staples Center sucks...only Los Angeles would have like three tiers of skyboxes. On the Igloo thing: I thought it was called Civic Arena first and is now Mellon Arena, but people did and still do call it The Igloo simply because, well, it looks like a giant igloo. I'm bad with keeping up on arena names...I still call Allstate Arena the Rosemont Horizon. For future reference in this thread here are the Wrestlemania hosts thus far to help us come up with other what-should've-beens. Madison Square Garden - New York City Rosemont Horizon - Rosemont, IL SkyDome - Toronto Fleetcenter - Boston First Union Center - Philadelphia Arrowhead Pond - Anaheim, CA Astrodome - Houston Caesar's Palace - Las Vegas Sports Arena - L.A. Civic Center - Hartford, CT Safeco Field - Seattle Trump Plaza - Atlantic City, NJ I think that's all of them. Notable absences: New Orleans Dallas Twin Cities Pittsburgh St. Louis Tampa-St. Pete Miami Atlanta Nashville Washington DC Montreal Phoenix Nassau County (I kid, I kid)
  21. Ric Flair Rick Steamboat Hulk Hogan Bret Hart Owen Hart (posthumous) Dusty Rhodes Curt Hennig (posthumous) Mr. T
  22. Where in Pittsburgh? Heinz Field: nah The Igloo: maybe, does the roof still open? That would look cool PNC Park: yes
  23. Well given the choice between Atlanta and Edmonton...ah, that still doesn't make sense. Also weird: sudden change of hometown for Benoit when he makes it big, yet through it all, Triple H has always en from Greenwich-uh.
  24. I was quite disappointed by the decidedly un-MSG set. To say nothing of the fact that it doesn't allow the maximum capacity WM20 deserves... -When Kane's entrance had the Manhattan skyline in flames...no. -Any wrestlers who made it look like a disco with the Floortron. -Rey and Dragon almost looking stupid on their entrances. -The eyes of the Big Show watching over us all in lieu of where the entrance ought to be. Yeah just stick with the classic setup in New York, guys.
