Last year Gordon wasn't ready to start, and was best in the 6th man role. I think he's ready to step up and start now, though.

There's no need for a salary cap. None whatsoever. If the highest payroll won every year, maybe there'd be a case. If baseball was in a stage of death, possibly. But we've seen that's there's not really a correlation between payroll and success. Recently we've seen Boston spend big and win, Florida spend little and win, New York (either) spend big and lose. Basically a salary cap would just protect owners from themselves, and I don't agree with that.

The Bulls are crazy to let Gordon go. He and Deng really do need to play more. It's a shame that there's fighting already about minutes, when last year, there was much more of a team-first attitude, and that's the kind of approach you need to take with a team that doesn't really have any superstars. Paxson can't be crazy. If it comes down to it, which I sincerely hope it doesn't, Skiles will go before Gordon does. Then again, it's not like Reinsdorf cares about keeping talent on this team anyway (whither Messrs. Brand & Artest?)
