My favorite lineup was the pre-Onslaught group: Black Widow, Captain America, Crystal, Giant-Man, Hawkeye, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Thor, Vision, and Wasp.
To bad they messed it up with the Liefeld version.
They could always pick up Hellhammer. He left the Kovenant.
Anyway, I really don't care. Dimmu ranks with Cradle as my least favorite black metal band.
I attended a screening of this a few years back. Really good stuff, but odd at the same time. I liked how they kept changing the lineup on stage as the concert continued.
That's funny, because if I was to make a list of the 100 worst guitar players ever, this is about where they'd place.
There are many better guitar players on their list, but many of them were not part of bands as influential as Kiss.
Neil Young: Great influential figure and great songwriter. Besides, Type O Negative did a cover of one of his songs.
Townshend (via The Who) and Steppenwolf were very influential, being that they were two of the earliest hard rock bands.
As for your picks:
• Corgan and Iha were just average guitarists. They have yet to show how they have influenced anyone.
• Connelly influence is mostly in the industrial genre. At best he'd show up in the 90-100 range.
• Twiggy is best known for being a bassist. Although some of the stuff that he wrote while in Marylin Manson was good, the spectacle and image overwhelm the musical quality.
• I really don't see any connection to this list and Fogerty at all. However, one of Kiss' better guitarists from their 80s metal period Bruce Kulick joined his band Credence Clearwater Revival, so I guess that might count for soemthing.
I love Opeth to death (heheh...that rhymes), but I was suprised to see that they were this high on the list. They do great stuff at times, but nothing to brag home about. I guess their songwriting/diversity helped them.
Here's the difference between techno and house music:
The name "House" comes from a club in Chicago called Warehouse. Musically, it is more related to disco music. The best example I can think of is Daft Punk.
Techno on the other hand is much harder sounding. An example is Prodigy.
The difference between House and Techno is how it is listened to. House is definitely the more dance music related genre. Techno is more listening related, like how you'd listen to chill out techno like the Orb or Aphex Twin or to raverbashing fun to Atari Teenage Riot.
