  1. It is an act of cowardice to have a thread deleted just because it brings you shame. A real TSMer would relish the opportunity to make a reclamation project of his misguided thread.
  2. What happened to the thread Dandy started? That looked like a hit.
  3. I don't doubt that they've improved their situation financially. I just wonder how these two guys--both of whom have been major underachievers, Duckett in more places than one--are going to improve their production any at what was a glaring weak spot on an otherwise pretty good offense. And having already made this investment in free agency, I doubt that they'll draft a RB any earlier than late on the second day. I wonder where Alexander ends up. He's obviously no longer able to handle being an every-down back. What can he still do?
  4. Yeah, he's done with Seattle. But were I a Seahawks fan, the combination of Duckett and Julius Jones in the backfield next year wouldn't exactly fill me with confidence.
  5. They also signed Jerry Porter.
  6. They just traded for Troy Williamson.
  7. Already posted elsewhere, but here's a tribute to the soon-to-be departed Patrick Swayze: Swayze
  8. The board really is in a time warp. Isn't this the way it looked a few years ago?
  9. This situation has really touched me, so I made this:
  10. Yeah, I knocked that one out of the park. Good job, Kinetic.
  11. I have had my emotions toyed with here. In preparation for a night spent celebrating the life and career of Patrick Swayze, I purchased the following items: *Rented five (5) Patrick Swayze films, Dirty Dancing, Steel Dawn, Road House, Point Break, and Black Dog. *A gallon of ice cream. *A box of tissues. I don't know what I'm going to do with all this stuff now.
  12. I had always hoped Patrick Swayze would one day get the chance to live like he was dying.
  13. This was discussed on a previous page. I am not a member of any NFL front office, nor can I so much as manage a mock draft, but what I would do is sign a veteran QB on the cheap to back up Aaron Rodgers and then draft a guy with some upside on the 2nd day. The guys they have behind Rodgers now were fine when you knew that there was no way they were ever going to get on the field. But only having one layer of separation between Craig Nall and your starting QB spot is bad news.
  14. Didn't Lemon sign with Jacksonville just a few days ago?
  15. With the 52nd pick in the draft, the Buccaneers select Brandon Flowers, CB, Virginia Tech "Pro Football Weekly" has him ranked 2nd in CBs coming out of the draft..."Instincts, ball skills, and tackling ability are tailor-made for a cover-2 defense, where he could be an elite performer..."
  16. The Statue of Liberty play won the game. You can argue that the Boise St. highlight didn't deserve to make it that far, but if you're going to include a highlight from that game, that's the one. They replayed that nauseating Favre-trospective thing that his wife narrated from the MNF game against Denver a few months ago. Other than that, I've had no problems with the Favre retirement coverage on ESPN.
  17. We had two 8 win teams in the playoffs a few years ago. Surely that feat will not be matched.
  18. So this is what it sounds like when doves cry.
  19. Behind Rodgers, they've got Craig Nall and someone called Dalton Bell on their depth chart. So they clearly need to acquire a QB with some experience to back Rodgers up and then draft a guy. David Carr may not be in the league next year, he was so bad in Carolina. There's almost no market for Culpepper right now, so he wouldn't be particularly costly. It just seems like a better move to me. EDIT: You know what, the Bucs play Green Bay next year. I'm with Agent. Sign and start David Carr.
  20. David Carr is awful. Leftwich or Culpepper would be better additions, in my opinion. It'd probably be wise for them to use a 2nd day pick on a QB.
  21. Maybe Gruden could talk Favre out of retirement in a few years. I wonder how tethered Rich Gannon is to that CBS gig.
  22. There's speculation that the team's unwillingness to make a run at Randy Moss might have pushed him towards retirement. I don't understand why the team would mortgage their future by giving Moss a huge contract just to appease a guy who strings them along every offseason. This is a team that took the eventual SB champions to overtime in the conference championship. They have no glaring need at wide receiver. It just wouldn't have made any sense.
  23. So I guess Favre is retiring. Good thing or bad thing, Packers fans?
  24. None of you will ever be successful because you're all terrible.
  25. I trust that you'll watch it many times over. Tell a friend.
