  1. Why? That's the shit we grew up with. Now you may have your street cred damaged by knowing this, but not only do I have my ghetto pass, but I just re-newed my dopey white guy membership card so I'm good...
  2. Sigh. Does Will make fun of Matt and Trey since South Park has made a living making fun of him?...
  3. Me, too. I'm pretty sure at the end of the show the black kid's dad tried to come into Roseanne's eatery to talk with her about DJ, but Rosie and Jackie didn't let him in because it was night, the store was closed, and the guy was BLACK, thus making Roseanne ponder what a hypocritical white devil she was...
  4. Oh be nice, stores have these kinds of promotions all the time. But damn, Game? Did the Marketing people at this place take the week off when it came time to decide on a name?...
  5. Well no wonder you'll be able to do 30 teams in 30 days if you provide reviews like this. You think watching them is any better?...
  6. My n*gga. If you also play Madden '05, you need to call me when you arrive. That depends. Is that 20-45 minutes during rush hour? If not, I get to Pittsburgh in about 45 minutes if some schmoe didn't get into an accident on the Parkway East. The roads are absolute shit and show no signs of improving. I'd say if you want to get to Pittsburgh fast, then looking for something north of the city would be your best bet -- I-279 is, imo, the best highway to get to and from Shittsburgh. Fear the Greentree Hill in the wintertime. Judging from your post count, you probably aren't used to my style of posting. I'm all about Wal-Mart, but for some reason I just can't do my grocery shopping there. And besides the Giant Eagle advantage card owns joo -- they also started this "fuel perks" promotion where for every $50 you spend in groceries you get 10 cents off of your next gas purchase at one of their gas stations called "GetGo." Ugh. Well let's just say it hasn't gotten better over the years. In fact, I would say stay away from the city altogether and become an evil suburbanite like me. The Mayor, Tom (S)murphy, is claiming we are responsible single-handidly for the financial ruin of the city. That's Dr. Tom terrority there...
  7. The Baldur's Gate saga -- Boo would be a merchandising gold mine...
  8. If you haven't hit puberty yet. I'd still do her, though...
  9. Oh boy, so now we can hear a bunch of sports talking heads bitch about a handful of teams that didn't get invited to the tourney. I always hate that. "So-And-So should be in the tournament, blah blah blah." Shut up -- if those uninvited bubble teams would have won a few more games they would have made it. That's what makes them bubble teams...
  10. I'm not. And I don't really care either. And when I read that Big Mac dies from a heart attack in the near future I won't do a double take either...
  11. I was wondering the same thing. In troubled times like these... courage. And I think Crono was implying this guy was going to hell, not that this black guy was Hitler -- the only HITLER around these days occupies the White House and has us occupying formerly sovereign Middle East countries...
  12. Oh Christ, don't get me started. Here's some background on my history in Southwestern PA. When I was a kid I lived north of the city in places like Sharpsburg, Shaler, Hampton and Ross. I moved to make my fortune, and to tag along with the better half while she got her Masters in Psych. Currently I live in Irwin, right along the Allegheny/Westmoreland County line (think North Versailles). Regarding "good neighborhoods," I'm not sure. You mention Squirrel Hill and Shadyside, both of which are closer to the city than where I currently live. However, Mt. Lebanon seems to be a yuppie place, too. Some things that might better answer your housing concerns would be if we knew what you were looking for -- do you want to buy a house, do you have a family, etc. If you want to buy a house I would STRONGLY reccomend you stay out of Allegheny County because they're going through some bullshit assessment problems and you'll probably get buttfucked in taxes. (Another thing to clear up your question of where to live might be knowing how far away you would want to live from the city.) Regarding the nightlife, I stay home and play video games all day so I can't help you there, but there's always the Steelers and Pirates, which have the fanciest stadium for a minor-league team you'll ever see. Cost of living -- regarding groceries, I go only to Giant Eagle. Shop 'n Save, Foodland and Kuhns are all ripoffs, and I refuse to go into a mega-WalMart for groceries (OMG ANTI-CORPORATE HIPPIE LOL). I'd say I average about $60-70/week in groceries, but I'm a coupon whore so my figure might be a little low. I own a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom house (it's a colonial so the two upstairs bedrooms have that hippie "slope" look, which take away about 1/2 of available space to roam around in) that was bought at around $125,000. Add taxes, insurance, etc., and I have a $1,000/month payment to make. Utilities (cable, internet, sewage, electricity, gas, garbage, water, etc.) usually add on another $500. Provide some more information and I'll try to answer some of your questions. Oh, and the place is still run by Democrats, which explains why the city is in such shitty shape. Oh, and the morons here still live back in a time when the Steelers were headed by Terry Bradshaw and they were going to play the Rams for the Super Bowl. PS: Holy crap, you must be the oldest person here...
  13. Mr. Garrison...
  14. I knew you'd bring the comedy when I saw your name under "Last Post By." It's not a matter or race, hippie, it's a matter of double standards. And I don't get excited when the issue of race gets brought up -- that's reserved for the Mikey Moore threads...
  15. Heh, back in my college days I was showing everyone on my one school newspaper how to use this crappy camera that was like a pseudo-Polariod. Well, I accidently cut myself opening a package of film and tried to stop the bleeding. It didn't work. In about a minute my hands were covered in blood. Nobody used the camera for that semester...
  16. lol -- I was thinking the same thing. I'm guessing Becky #1. Hmm, this is a toughy for me. When I used to watch ER I used to not care about ANYONE on that show -- docs, patients, employees -- except for Romano and that Frank cop/desk guy. I just enjoyed watching everyone else whine about how much their life sucked. Oops, except for Dr. Green. He didn't bother me. Ah, here we go. How could I forget her? Diane Russell on NYPD Blue. Oh I hated her...
  17. Regarding traffic. In the Cincy area, I-75, I-71 and I-275 were real nightmares during rush hour, but not as bad as the other places mentioned I'm sure. Pittsburgh just sucks. Parkways East and West are a joke -- only two lanes each way backed up for miles gives us the impression that a lot of people live here...
  18. Out of the ones you posted -- gotta go with Sam K. I never thought Leary was that great. Funny, sure, but not great...
  19. Call-Center Drive Thrus? How about just putting out that little electronic board that some places already have that shows your order being punched up? And V-X, was that where you lived or was that where you stole from? There's a big difference, son...
  20. Or you could just put a bunch of white women out there. Or just move all the calenders in the area to the first of the month and wait by the welfare office...
  21. WTF -- they're using my Avatar...
  22. Why should I care? *runs...*
  23. Even worse, you're a commie...
  24. V-X, you're some Puerto Rican kid -- that means you can't get any higher than a 3. And Shadow, seeing how you post at TSM you are also bumping into the 3 Glass Ceiling...
  25. Yes, but is it "whoosh" worthy? Especially since it is in a large, boldface font. That's the debate...
