Bill O'Reilly vs Matt Drudge
kkktookmybabyaway replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Yawn. These two don't like each other very much. I remember Drudge printed something a while back showing that Bill wasn't doing well in some of his radio markets. Seeing how both parties are supposed to be part of the Great Right-Wing Cabal, I'm surprised of this in-fighting. Perhaps one of them took the other's parking space in front of Scaife Headquarters... -
I think your Independent political symbol was just a lame bear. I actually like BK's value meal, although I NEVER touched the crispy tacos. I'd get one of the burgers on that menu, the chili (which wasn't as good as Wendy's but was still edible) and a plain potato. When I got back to work I'd just pour the chili on the potato. Their salad wasn't too bad either...

It could have been worse. They could have caught Saddam during Ramadan...

Every time I see an ad/poster for that movie I keep thinking about that South Park episode... -
He ought to be rotting in a fucking jail -- not in the looney bin...

Just remember. I can switch to Direct TV and DSL. And, by being a valued customer, I should expect to be treated in a more respectful manner...

Well then you're not a total loss. I don't care what you do -- you're not flushing my money down the toilet by giving to that evil organization (Well, by working for Comcast you are in a way, but at least you are working for it)...

Oh well, if you are a banned poster a mod will find out soon enough via checking IP address or something. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. Oh, and is your sig Britney and Christina while in the Mickey Mouse Club?...

Fuck the United Way -- I can PM the details if you want. If I ever make enough money where I can give some away it will to help homeless pets. Humans can kiss my ass...

What college are you/did you attend?

The place where I got my degree is so evil there's no curse in Elvish or Entish that can do it justice... -
Mine as well. Was I supposed to laugh?...

I don't think many people really came away from Jurassic Park thinking about environmental issues. I did. Man, that scene with the sick Triceratops had me thinking that if dinosaurs were still around crapping there wouldn't be any ozone left...

tSlater, unless you're Eagan, welcome to TSM (don't ask). Rant, I see you went back to an old Avatar...

Here's hoping someone puts a bullet in this guy's head while on his unsupervised visit...

Hopefully the herd will be thinned this week. Of course I thought the same thing last week and it only got worse...

He was probably trying to spell it out for some in the audience. I had a real genius sitting next to me... -
So will this chick's book telling about how she was oppressed at the NY Times be titled "My Master's Reservation"?...

Terrorists must be on orders to leave San Fran alone since the 9th are allies to the cause. I guess the dissenting judge wanted to give the detainees Internet access or something... SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - A federal appeals court ruled Thursday for the first time that prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba should have access to lawyers and the American court system. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' 2-1 decision was a rebuke to the Bush Administration. The administration maintains that because the 660 men held there were picked up overseas on suspicion of terrorism and are being held on foreign land, they may be detained indefinitely without charges or trial. The Supreme Court last month agreed to decide whether the detainees, picked up in Afghanistan and Pakistan, should have access to the courts. The justices agreed to hear that case after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled that the prisoners had no rights to the American legal system. The San Francisco appeals court, ruling Thursday on a petition from a relative of a Libyan the U.S. military captured in Afghanistan, said the Bush administration's indefinite detention of the men runs contrary to American ideals. "Even in times of national emergency - indeed, particularly in such times - it is the obligation of the Judicial Branch to ensure the preservation of our constitutional values and to prevent the Executive Branch from running roughshod over the rights of citizens and aliens alike," Judge Stephen Reinhardt wrote for the majority. "We cannot simply accept the government's position," Reinhardt continued, "that the Executive Branch possesses the unchecked authority to imprison indefinitely any persons, foreign citizens included, on territory under the sole jurisdiction and control of the United States, without permitting such prisoners recourse of any kind to any judicial forum, or even access to counsel, regardless of the length or manner of their confinement."

^ THAT SHOULD BE GAME OF THE WEEK! Why? Because if I lose and Flyboy wins, it all comes down to Week 17, as we both will have the exact same record. Kinda funny that way... Please. Washington Redskins (Human Fly 9-5) @ Chicago Bears (Swift Terror 9-5) is a much better matchup because the winner clinches their division. In addition, Miami Dolphins (Agent of Oblivion 8-6) @ Buffalo Bills (tpww7 9-5) is my second choice for GOTW. Other choices that I'd take over your choice include mine [san Diego Chargers (Agent Bond34 8-6) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (kkktookmybabyaway 7-7)] and San Francisco 49ers (Bravesfan 8-6) @ Philadelphia Eagles (MD2020 7-7) Oh, yeah, I'm also a racist, so Flyboy will NEVER be a GOTW. Nope. There are only two wild cards per conference...

Jury duty is a waste of your time -- I bitched about it once here and am too lazy right now to find out where it's posted... From this thread... OK, long story short. I was summoned during my final semester of college and I had a ton or so responsibilities in my everyday life. I went to the Pittsburgh courthouse and sat all day basically doing nothing. Then, with less than 30 minutes to go in the day this scumbag lawyer and prosecutor are looking over us. I pull out my most recent issue of National Review, making sure the scumbag defense lawyer would see it. However, it didn’t help because I was selected. The next three days were spent on a case where some guy with a beard about as long as I am tall fighting a DUI arrest. Well, only about 2 hours were spent actually hearing the case – most of the time we were all in this cramped little room doing jack sh*t. Oh I wish I had a Gameboy back then. Anyway, the highlight of the trial came when the defendant took the stand. When asked why he refused to take a breathalyzer or any other instrument to determine if he was drunk, the guy said all that was against his religion. Turns out he was part of an extreme Lutheran sect (BTW: I’m a confirmed Lutheran) that didn’t believe in breaking the skin (blood test) or doing whatever it is a breathalyzer is supposed to do. He also said his religion forbids getting pictures taken for driver’s licenses and proved it by showing his without a photo. When asked why is all this activity necessary the guy answered that these things are part of some New World Order plot. The Prosecutor then grabbed the guy’s pocket Bible and asked him to look up and justify what he just said. Later on, when the scumbag defense lawyer was questioning his client, the judge turned away to go over some paperwork for some other case and the scumbag lawyer went up to the stand and began whispering stuff into his client’s ear. I will never forget this exchange as long as I live. DA: Objection your honor. Judge: *looks up* On what grounds? DA: He’s talking to the defendant! Well, when we went to deliberate there was one woman that didn’t want to vote guilty because she felt bad for the hippie. Another woman didn’t want to vote guilty because she said all cops lie and didn’t believe the cop that testified against the defendant. Another woman didn’t even care what we did and spent the whole time saying how cute the prosecutor was. A guy that originally was to be our foreman didn’t want to be anymore when he found out that the defendant lived in the same community as him. Being the fearless leader that I am, I took the job because I wanted to get the hell out of there. All in all, jury duty was the biggest waste of time I have ever experienced and the only time I will ever be on a jury again is if it’s a big-name trial and I can get a book deal out of it. So when you get your jury duty summons write on there that you’re a card-carrying member of the ACLU or Fry Mumia fan club...
