  1. George Foreman, transformed from angry young man that just gets in the ring in nearly decapitated you in two minutes to a happy go lucky old guy that takes a lot of shit and always comes back for more. I remember watching him knock out Michael Moorer and going absolutely go ape shit.
  2. I was also at the Celtics-Mavs, fucking great game and great back by my boys. I got tickets to the Celtics-Wizards before the game, I'm going to see the great Kwame Brown and you guys aren't!
  3. This is a bad bad trade for the Celtics, Eric Williams was starting to become a great 6th man, Battie is improving and Kedrick well I'm glad we got rid of Kedrick. But all Ricky Davis is an egomaniacal ball hog, who does absolutely jackshit to help his team. The Road to 17 has been de-railed (Although even I didn't think the Celts would win it all).
  4. Well considering Maine (my home state) has the 3rd fastest rising unemployment rate behind Alabama and Arkansas, I got to get the hell out of here.
  5. Pittsburgh doesn't sign good baseball stars. What about Derrek Bell and his brilliant "Operation Shutdown" , he hit .300 that year, hit 40 homers and 120 RBIs and lead the Pirates to 100 wins and a run deep into the playoffs. I can't believe they let that guy go. That's what screwed the Pirates, not that Barry Bonds guy....oh wait.
  6. I think by far, the best moment in sports this year is the MLB playoffs in particular the Red Sox-Yankees ALCS. Every team had a story and there were some mind blowing games. Red Sox-Yankees was easily better than any World Series in the past ten years, even though the wrong team won. Cubs-Marlins and Marlins-Giants also made for damn good television. The worst series I thought was actually Yankees-Marlins, totally underwhelming and made for boring television. Best feel good moments were the reemergance of the Bengals and Royals. Two teams that were thought to be forever in the shitter of their leagues, with the help of two great managers have playoff hopes for the 1st time in ten years. Funniest sports moments of the year: I gotta go with the Tigers, despite what their record says they are the worst team of all time (OK the 1899 Cleveland Spiders were worse, but does anybody really remember watching them play). Despite being god awful those guys were hillarious to watch and always tried to go out there and get a win even though they rarely had a snowball chance in hell. Honorable mention: Can't say the Best moments in sports in 2003 without mentioning Carmelo and LeBron, the potential saviors of the NBA. These guys are one of the sole bright spots in a poor league. I also got to give a shout out to the Canadians-Oilers outdoors game, a fun and fresh (Yeah I know Michigan and Michigan State played an outdoors game but who cares about NCAA hockey) idea that was shunned by ESPN, who have about as much knowledge about hockey as me.

  8. For some reason I didn't think there was 100 Greatest Rock Songs and now it's coming back to me. Alright who voted for 100 Greatest Songs of the Past 25 Years? Fess up? Yes, I have no time since from 1997 to about last year when VH1 became a third rate fusion of MTV and E I watched VH1 all the time. Anyone remember the List? Sledgehammer? Rock Candy?
  9. Carl Everett is a nice choice to replace Vladimir Guerrero. He isn't half as good as Vlad but it's a lot better than putting a random back up in the place of Montreal's best player since the mid 90's. I like to see that the MLB isn't just letting Montreal lay down and die.
  10. I cause karma has bitten those Suns in the ass after they beat the Celtics after overcoming a 29 point lead. I still haven't forgiven those bastards. DAMN YOU TO HELL MARBURY!
  11. I'm looking forward to the San Francisco Bowl since my hometown's hero Quentin Porter is the starting quarterback for Boston College. Besides football in Pac Bell is going to look fucking cool.
  12. I'm surprised at this board's god damn near total backlash to this show. I remember after the first episode everyone was going apeshit over it. I guess like me the joke got old soon to everyone. I stopped watching the show regularly after the 5th or 6th episode.
  13. I'm almost positive I got all of those damn specials on there. I didn't include 100 Sexiest Artists...cause I don't think anyone here watched that one. My pick is 100 Greatest Hard Rock artists surprisingly accurate, there are about 5 or 6 I don't think should be on there and the placement is a wee bit off but it's a helluva lot better than a lot of their specials. Most of the bands that shouldn't be on there could be debated. The worst is 100 Greatest Artists of the Past 25 Years...Smells Like Teen Spirit as the #1 song of the past 25 years is sick fucking joke. Not as bad a VH1's 200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons, but that's not totally music related. So what do all of you SmartMarks think VH1's best 100 Greatest List is?
  14. Here's a bold prediction for all of ya I bet every team in the AL East wins 70 games or more. Yes Devil Rays included. It'll be the best division in the AL next year and maybe best in all of MLB.
  15. It couldn't have been any worse than Taker-Giant Gonzalez....could it have?
  16. Happy Birthday! To celebrate I hired the Denver Nuggets mascot to provide us some entertainment.
  17. It's still good but yes it is a shill factory but RD has gotta pay the bills some fucking way. Speaking of Bills, remember wacky Scott Norwood missing the game winning field goal in the Super Bowl?
  18. This isn't the Yankees year my Angle-lovin' friend. It'll be somebody completely out of left field (No pun intended). Just look at the past three years, I don't think the trend is gonna stop.
  19. I really liked Bubble Boys (mainly cause it's sooooo weird and not funny if you think about it but it's supposed to be a comedy) and I still maintain Pootie Tang is a decent off the wall comedy so maybe just maybe I'd enjoy the Stupids in a guilty pleasure way. I also enjoyed McHale's Navy.........but I swear it was cause of Bruce Campbell was in it!
  20. Speaking of lists I caught VH1's 100 Greatest Hard Rock Bands and realized it was probably their best list ever (Which isn't saying much at all). It would have been a great list if it didn't have Foreigner, Bad Company and frikking MEAT LOAF on the list. Now Foreigner and Bad Company are guilty pleasures of mine but they are by no means hard rock neither are the Rolling Stones but I can deal with that one. Meat Loaf isn't close to being hard rock, it's like a frikking musical. Sorry for debating about a two and a half year old VH1 special, but I just had to get it off my chest.
  21. If they get Tejada (Which they won't), I think the Tigers have an outside shot of winning the AL Central. They'll at least win 70 games if Tejada happens to sign with the Bad News Tigers.
  22. I haven't seen it, I would think with Triumph and Tracy Morgan (Shut up! I like Tracy Morgan) cameos that it'd at least be decent but apparently that isn't so. Man fuck every single one of those Osbournes, except for Ozzy.
  23. The first Air Bud (The one in the first two) actually had to have his leg amputated due to cancer and died in 99 or so.
  24. I don't think so, even if you put Vlad and Old Man Maddux on the Yankees (Which won't happen in either case) I think the Red Sox can compete. That being said deep down I still have some strange feeling about the BoSox off season this.... it looks too good to be true.
  25. I'm feeling good about the BoSox, but deep down in me I got a feeling this all star roster is gonna blow up in everyone's faces ala the 2001 Mets.
