  1. Rey Mysterio. Everyone else falls somewhere behind him (not by far either). HONORABLE MENTIONS: Jamie Knoble, Nunzio, Ultimo, Tajiri
  2. I think Chris Perry should get it, but for some reason I see either Fitzgerald or Eli Manning getting the trophy. I'm a big RB fan, and I wouldn't mind seeing another great RB in the NFL.
  3. Well, JR said kept babbling about "This BI-PARTISAN~! Texas crowd solidly behind Austin!" so I think the announcers called it fairly that time. Towards the end however, when Rock began to kick out of everything Austin did, people started cheering for The Rock a bit.
  4. I have never liked Hogan, even as a youngster. The first match I ever saw was DiBiase vs. Savage, and I remember how much I got into Ted DiBiase and how much I despised Hogan for basically cheating to help Savage win. Now that I know a lot of backstage stories, I also don't like the fact that Hogan did not want to job for DiBiase for the World Title.
  5. That was the first match I ever saw, and the one that got me hooked on wrestling. Holy shit, me too. I thought I was alone in that category. I still remember watching WM 4 and the first match I fully saw was DiBiase/Savage. I just loved it and it got me hooked on pro-wrestling. Oddly enough, DiBiase became my favorite wrestler over all (I was never a Hulkamaniac), because I remember seeing Hogan basically cheat to get Savage the win, and I hated him for that. DiBiase was such a great heel. DiBiase/Tsuruta? Damn, I need to find that. DiBiase's mid-south work (AWA?) is great. Just wondering, but did Ted ever wrestle Stan Hansen? I have a feeling I've seen it somewhere. DiBiase is definitely my favorite wrestler of the Hogan-era. I also liked DiBiase vs. Roberts at WM 6 for some reason.

  7. Rock/Cena would be the best and only feud that would benefit both participants, and the company. Two very charismatic guys, one with great selling skills, and one rising star. The promos and buildup would be excellent and Rock would make Cena look like gold, which would ultimately make both look great. That would be the one program that I would definitely pay to see.
  8. If Austin has it left in him, a match with Lesnar would be sweet, but I don't think that's possible in the storylines. I don't want to see Austin win the WWE Title, because he's seen as a retiree now and it would devalue the strap. If HBK can still wrestle well, I think Austin probably can, and Austin/HBK would be fun to see. I would rather prefer if Austin didn't come back to wrestle, and just stayed retired. It was perfect that Austin put over The Rock. Ended THE feud of the "Attitude" era, and elevated the younger, stronger man.
  9. I think when you ask redundant and pointless questions like the one you posed as the topic of this thread, you're asking for it.
  10. It isn't the prime guy is it?
  11. The feuds this year have really sucked. The only one I can think of that had (or still has) some promise was the Cena/Benoit feud. I remember that one Smackdown where there was the buildup to the #1 Contender's main event to see who goes to face Brock at Backlash. Cena and Benoit were involved in two or three skits (with Brock as well) where they both gave importance to the World Title and they both gave legitimate reasons on why they didn't like each other and wanted to win. You essentially saw both of their true characters and it seemed special. I think a Cena/Benoit feud would be a great, great thing to watch. Angle/Brock had potential, but they overproduced it. Austin/Rock III was decent, but there were too many goofy segments to desperately try to have people boo The Rock. Once it got down to The Rock wanting to prove that he is the greatest that Raw has ever seen, and not Austin, then it was good. The match was good, and the ending was very good (Rock winning clean, not attacking Austin after the match in a chicken-like way, both men had their salutes). But, yeah, this year has REALLY sucked, booking wise.
  12. No. Austin should do what most veterans should do, and that's put over the younger man. In this case, The Rock was already over enough but it adds to his career to get that WM clean pinfall over his bitter rival. Austin did the right thing, and I think Austin should have left wrestling after WM XIX. If he's psycho enough to wrestle one more time at 'Mania XX, then it definitely should be to put over a younger rising star.
  13. Priest who?! The REAL best running back in the NFL, boys. Luckily I have Mr. Portis in fantasy football.
  14. That's it, J.R. should petition the signings of football stars such as Shockey, Terrell Owens, Ray Lewis, and other loud players with ATTITUDE~! He'd blow his load over their athleticism.
  15. Jesse Ventura owns all in commentating, followed by Gorilla. Their two-man commentatin tandem was one of the most entertaining aspects of the Hulkamania era.
  16. No way is Bob Holly going to become Smackdown's next champion. Benoit, I believe, will get his time to shine, be it a transitional reign or not. If Lesnar might miss some time due to a knee injury, they'll probably have Benoit and Holly duke it out to see who gets another crack at Brock. Benoit, of course, would get the better of Holly in that feud.
  17. When Austin won his sixth World Title back from Angle after the two-week hiatus, people popped loudly for Austin after he pinned Angle, even with Regal's interference. You could visually see and also hear most of the fans cheering for Austin with the (then) WWF Title, while J.R. has a coronary exclaiming "Damnit, this crowd is livid! They cannot beLIEVE it!".
  18. Cena's ringskills are vastly underrated. In all of his high-profile matches (vs. Taker, Angle, Benoit) he sells really well, never gets lost, and does not blow spots. Only his match with Brock was a pretty bad looking match. He isn't that good in the ring, but he isn't that bad. He's actually better than most of the other rookies in the WWE.
  19. Well, unless Goldberg holds the belt all the way until Wrestlemania XX, I don't know if there's anyone else who is credible enough to give Jericho the rub, while doing the job. I hate Triple H being World Champ as much as the next guy, but it's almost as if there are no other options. Although it would be cool to see Jericho dethrone Goldberg.
  20. If Jericho's face turn succeeds and he becomes mega-popular again, I wouldn't want to see Jericho and Christian feud all the way until Wrestlemania. Jericho still needs the big rub to elevate himself to legit main eventer, not a guy who plays around with main event status and drops. Jericho should, and needs, to defeat Triple H for the World Title at WM. If he becomes a very over face, garnering more heat than WWE-darling Orton, then they need to give Jericho the big win.
  21. A good effort by the WWE to produce a nice show. I loved both Benoit matches, as it shows Benoit's ability to guide two rising superstars, and make them look legit, while Benoit himself looks like he definitely should be the WWE Champion right about now. I think it's a great idea that Cena is about to get a U.S. Title reign, because even though he's above it, he could add some type of prestige to the belt. But, I believe RRR is right, and they need to make trades for some credible opponents. I wouldn't want to see Cena/Big Show more than once. As for Benoit, the match with him and Lesnar was very good, and like Ray stated, I can't wait for a ppv series between the two. Brock played the role of the heel well and Benoit looked like the second coming to the fans in his comebacks. F5 spot was completely believable. All in all, we get a continued push for Cena and Benoit, and I'm a happy person. I wouldn't mind seeing another Cena/Benoit match down the road as well.
  22. Benoit's best match ever is probably Sasuke/Benoit at the Super J cup finals in 94. I really don't need to tell everyone how great the match is. From WCW? I haven't seen a lot of his matches there, but from what I have witnessed, I was blessed to see Benoit/Bret, in the tribute to Owen. From WWE? His match with Steve Austin in Edmonton (SD, 5/31/01) smokes everything else. Not one pointless resthold, and every single thing in that match makes sense (even the finish).
  23. I though it was wildly overrated. Good at times, but some of those eliminations were ridiculous. Oh dear... My sentiments exactly.
  24. Cena should not win the WWE World Title at this year's Wrestlemania. That should come for WM XXI. I'm thinking Cena wins the U.S. Title, and successfully defends it for a lot of months. Benoit should win at Wrestlemania over Lesnar, in a Submission Match, getting revenge for the dusty finish at a RR main event. Benoit finally is the World Champion (legit, not the WCW phantom reign) and the title reign of greatness~! finally begins.
  25. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Triple H wins a rematch, somehow, with whomever defeated him for his World Heavyweight Title (Probably Orton)
