*Chrono Trigger jury cheers* *Chrono Trigger jury jeers* Very good game. None of the archaic turn-based crap for battles. It's in real time, it's a fun game, and looks, plays, sounds, etc great. This may sound like an odd question--but what does the memory icon for Tales of Destiny look like? You know, those little icons that appear when you check out the Memory Manager? Your stupid mind! STUPID STUPID STUPID!!

Bah, damn you. You've got the Dudleyz, too. That and a Canadian dollar will get you...uh...um... .... What the hell can it get you?

I'm from PA...we've got... Billy Kidman Nasty Boyz Steve Blackman Shane Douglas E-C-Dub! Kurt Angle The Rock lived here as a kid. Wasn't Snuka from PA as well? Minnesota can claim Ric Flair, I believe. I think he was born there although he's more closely associated with North Carolina. Which also has: Hardyz Lita Hurricane Shannon Moore? I *think* Molly's real hometown is Greensboro. Jericho was actually born in the States, but I recall it either being New York or Detroit. I'm not sure which. Jericho was born here and he lives here, hmmm.
-
Well, that wasn't as bad as when Kendrick almost beat Angle.

Uh...CV: SotN is an Adventure-RPG. You level up and learn magic and stuff. Yeah, that's the ticket. Unlike Grandia II, at least Suikoden has good music. Although, maybe I'm confused with Grandia 1, which was about as fun as getting kicked in the nuts by a mule. Two out of three ain't bad. However, you forgot to mention the only good game that Square has released in years: Kingdom Hearts. The sequel of which is being held up so that Square can squirt out a sequel to FFVII in movie form. The Tactics Ogre team was most responsible for FFT. I hope you aren't referring to FFTA either, because I'd play Mystic Quest anyday over that piece of shit.

How is Guerrero / Guerrero different from itself
AndrewTS replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in The WWE Folder
No, Pepe has joined the ranks of Pierre, Moppy, and Pepper, IIRC. ...but what ever happened to Head? Didn't someone steal it, and then Snow began using Pierre the deer head? Oh, wait...I think I remember them feuding Al and Head, and they had a Hardcore Match and there was a midget involved.... Hell, it' all a blur. What DID happen?! -
Rudo makes a good replacement for DEAN~ since he apparently doesn't do the Workrate Reports anymore. What, did even he get completely fed up with the festering crap pile that SD is usually comprised of?

Hogan was everything I disliked about wrestling in the 80's. His goofy persona, not his wrestling, by the way. The first time I actually remember seeing a full Hogan match, he was getting whacked in the head with a shoe while he was handcuffed to a ringpost, or something like that. People bitch about how Raw would be based completely around HHH. HA! Hogan was far worse in the 80's. I never understood why so many people liked the goon. I don't think that wrestling would be non-existent right now if not for Hogan, however I think we would probably see a very different wrestling era right now. Without WWF rising to prominence, I don't know if Turner would have been spurned on to bring WCW to national TV, but maybe he still would have.
-
No, just the HBK one. WMXII hasn't been put on DVD, and the closest it has been on DVD otherwise have been on WM history discs, such as the one that came with WM2000. That's not the match though, it's just discussing the match.
-
I wouldn't count on it. As far as I know both him and Hogan are native Sarasotans.
-
Include his Showster stuff and footage of him doing a moonsault in the power plant and i'll buy the thing. If it includes the Scott Hall feud then I'll buy it. The Bossman feud, too. Can't forget that. Since HHH has, what, 4 DVDs now can't Jericho at least get his first? I DON'T mean a DVD transfer of "Break Down the Walls" either (VHS fluff piece on Jericho that came out 2000 I think). Did Benoit/Jericho have any great matches that didn't really make it on PPV besides the Quad match though? I have a bunch of their WWF/E matches on PPV DVDs, although haven't they faced elsewhere several times? Maybe one of those is worth being on a Jericho or Benoit DVD. Okay, the Benoit one may never happen aside from a fan made comp, but still... Bret should have one. If him and Vince ever patch things up, he really needs one. DO NOT PUT THE IRON MAN on it though; waste of an hour + of time.

I heard "early 2004" on Prime 2. Maybe they're planning a simultaneous US release of Prime 2 and Zero Mission? Oh yeah, F*** YOU JAPAN for not appreciating Metroid!

It was a given the PS2 version would bomb, since it was censored. However, the other two versions are more surprising. Still, I wonder when the hell Acclaim's pact with Satan expires and they finally are driven out of business by their incessant desire to be the biggest shovelers of crap in game development.

That's a WCW gimmick! NO! Can't do it! Although yeah, the name is just...eh. It's funny that he's had the same damn theme for nearly 5 years, through face and heel turns, and it's always been out of place. It sounds like he'd be half of a tag team with the Ringmaster (who would of course be like a circus ringmaster, not like Austin's original WWF gimmick).
-
The what? While I knew Bret was Canadian, he just sounded like a typical American to me anyway. Of course, it's possible to adopt another accent when you move away from your home region.

Grandia 2 is godly. *Discounts anything you ever say again.*

Well, last year: hyped up Taker return, expected to be old-school Taker but turned out to be just American Bad Ass Taker. This year: no hype about it, but it is expected Taker return. Expected to be the resurrection of the old-school Taker. Last year: Billy Gunn return is hyped up. Nobody cares, and he did nothing of note afterwards. This year: Ditto.

Well, its not entirely rehashed. Eddy's the face this time around. When Eddy begins to ride a hobby horse and shave his own head, you can complain. Until then, begone with ye! Hector hasn't gotten involved yet, either. -
McMahon tells wrestlers not to speak to the 'net
AndrewTS replied to Celtic Jobber's topic in The WWE Folder
Instead of having huge roid monkeys threaten his employees--aren't there nondisclosure agreements/clauses that are often used in corporations to protect valuable company secrets? -
Well, I think it's already been stated--if WWE Films really does come to fruition, they would do a lot worse than having Show do some comedy. Hey, he's already got more charisma than Richard Moll.
-
You forgot the sarcasm tag. BMX XXX was a huge commercial failure.

That would be fine and good...except for that glaring "add on" part. I've already stated why an add on, especially for an unpopular console, was a poor idea from Nintendo, regardless of their other aims. Unfortunately, those titles never came out, and Nintendo jumped the gun, unable to see the rise of the DVD format. Not Nintendo's fault, I admit. The RAM pak didn't produce any "must-have" games and the GameBoy connectivity is no big deal. As Sakura said, at least the 32X had some good games. I repeat: add-on, add-on, add-on--for the N64. Did they plan this out so far ahead that by the time it was known the N64 was a failure it was too late? Because it used a medium that was percieved to be outdated and inferior--everyone jumped onto the DVD bandwagon. Until the PS2 was right around the corner, the Dreamcast was selling great and had awesome titles--on both sides of the Pacific. I think Nintendo would have learned that when you released two failed add-ons, and then botch a stand-alone console, that people are going to be a little reluctant to support a new console from that company after that. Yet Nintendo didn't know this when they released the 64DD in Japan only? No, they gave up on it before it actually became viable. Show me where I said that the lack of online support was the sole reason the Gamecube was doing so poorly before. I also referred to the choice in medium and lack of DVD player as well, and neglected the other things because it wasn't related to the discussion. It was one of several reasons, however. Online gaming is growing and Nintendo's going to be left behind a bit. When the 64DD apparently came out, nobody cared about the N64 and I don't recall any coverage of its existence in magazines anywhere. Also, if you can't support what should be your most major console in all your major markets, then you're going to have a problem. The Famicom Disc system (which most people here haven't even heard of except for those up on our Castlevania trivia) wasn't too bad since it wasn't supposed to be so much a brand new system as something to expand the NES' capabilities. However, lets assume that the 64DD somehow succeeded in Japan on the strength of its games alone. Nintendo would then be pressured to release high profile titles on it...which they WOULD NOT be able to release stateside. Aside from that, they would still be supporting the Game Boy Color. At this SAME TIME they were working on the Virtual Boy, which managed to be worse than the N64 and 64DD by leaps and bounds. So, Nintendo was planning to support the 64DD and N64 in Japan, the N64 in the USA. Nintendo would have to have plenty of fresh high-profile titles on at least the American N64 to keep it afloat, so Nintendo would have to support two major consoles at once. PLUS they would have to support the Virtual Boy in two different regions if it had succeeded enough to warrant support. In the meantime, the Game Boy Color was still around and still making them money. You were basically telling me that it wouldn't have mattered in the grand scheme of things if one country welcomed the 64DD while another didn't. I call bullshit, because that would mean that they'd have to simultaneously support both, while dealing with their portables (if you can call the VB that). That would be spreading themselves too thin. N64, 64DD, VB--all in the span of a few years. If you don't think there were some major, forseeable mistakes made there, I don't know what to say. However, you ignored my question of: did Nintendo not do any marketing research ahead of time to see what they should do before jumping the gun? I honestly can't picture the Virtual Boy ever getting the rubber stamp after a careful test marking campaign. Actually, WWF/E had done waaaay stupider things. However, unlike the launch of the Gamecube with Luigi, at least WWE hasn't hired Brutus Beefcake back to headline a Pay Per View.

Same here. I dislike Sharpton heavily. He's not quite in Hillary territory, but still... Ditto. It makes no sense to me. How could I get those results despite being a conservative Republican?
