Video of level 2 (which is looking much better here): http://gamevideos.com/video/id/8909 Keep in mind these are very early here, too.

Hm...this looks good... http://www.compusa.com/products/product_in..._Disk_Enclosure The harddrive is a 3.5", so that should work okay. Is there anything else here I should verify before purchasing?

I've hit a major snag, unfortunately. The drive cable that connects my hard drive to my motherboard is just a single-drive cable. So I'll need a dual-drive one to get this sucker working. So, in summary, to get this installed as a secondary drive, I need a dual-drive Ultra DMA jump cable. Either that or a drive caddy, which is looking more and more appealing at this point. I've googled and hit compusa's site with little luck. Am I just using the wrong keywords?

If by fun you mean totally retarded, yeah. Although--am I the only one to make it through the DOA movie? Come on, you pansies, that movie sucked but it was easy. I've seen Mortal Kombat Annihilation 4 times! I've made it through House of the Dead a few times! I've seen Battlefield Earth beginning to end! The first Mortal Kombat and Silent Hill, IMO, came the closest to being good. Although for different reasons. Movies based on fighting games usually are terrible anyway, but you just know that the movie is devoid of any creativity if it features a villain stealing characters' fighting abilities as a major plot point.

Last night on Conan, he played Serena Williams on Wii Sports Tennis...and won! Not that I blame her...I still suck bad at that one.

You skimmed the post--it's for a friend, and his new computer is a laptop. However, I guess I'll just go with the 2ndary harddrive route on mine. If I get the data off it he'll be glad to let me keep his dvd drive/memory/hard drive. Should I just pop it in and go? The top of the hard drive suggests running some disk wizard first. Or is that for n00bs (like router install discs)?

Itrackr shows 14 of 16 stores in Pawtucket carrying PS3's. 0 of 16 with Wii's. Those impulse buyers keep cleaning them out. Yeah! Like that media set-top box that was PS2.

Yeah. Final Fantasy Tactics Remake + Silent Hill Origins makes the choice of platform a bit easier to swallow, I guess.
-
Gee, I wonder which response you picked...

That's exactly the type of thing I'm looking for. Where'd you find it/price? I'm looking for hopefully a brick-and-mortar place.
-
Yeah, it *looks* like ass but reviews were very positive for the Mega Man remakes, saying they didn't screw up the gameplay. But it's moot anyway. If you don't want to play that version you don't have to.
-
This one appears to have the enhancements from the 360 version. Plus no tinkering with firmware or anything.

http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3156904 Rondo of Blood remake for...nooooooooooooooooooo...not PSP!!!!! Iga has granted many a Castlevania player's wish...but...PSP? Why, damnit, why? Well...September is still a while away. In the meantime, Sony--redesign/price drop plz.

Considering they're the only one that isn't a multi-billion dollar conglomerate, yes they are.

Square's now on its last FF to hock on a portable for more money. Hopefully come to their senses and make an enhanced port of Chrono Trigger on DS. Because this crap resolution, crap sound is okay for NES ports and previously Japan-only releases, but not SNES classics. It's coming this week. It has a couple new Espers added, a new dungeon, "remixed" (read: lousy) music, and nerfed Vanish and Doom/X-Zone. So, is it worth it? I'm kind of on the fence...especially since Square has yet to announce Virtual Console plans.

Ok, I fixed my own numbering and sent out PMs on the needed corrections. I was planning to mention Pico as a separate entry. It was trying to make a niche that there was little demand for, and of course all the software was edutainment intended for children. However, the damn thing was $140! Ridiculous.
-
Heh, it's cool. Clearly the two separate agreements they worked out got mashed up in my head, though.
-
That is, in fact, *one* of the prospective agreements that was being worked out, but not the one I was thinking of. wiki link Okay, so it was the SNES CD at that point, not the "Play Station". However, Sony didn't seem to give a damn about games or a gaming console at that point. They were planning to rake in money on (gasp) a proprietary disc format. Now that sounds like the Sony we know and love. But Sega's failure or success with CDs had nothing to do with Nintendo's decision to back out.

I have a friend whose computer is shot--specifically, the processor. Troubleshooting it myself narrowed it down to memory or processor. It fails the POST, and replacement memory didn't change anything (although the DIMM slots are functioning, they recognize the memory). However, now there's pretty much no way for him to recover the data save for connecting up the hard drive to a working computer. Is there an easy way to get the data off another hard drive aside from yanking the one out a similar computer and putting the other one in? For example, is there any sort of adapter that I could connect up the (internal) harddrive to adapt it to a USB/Firewire, like most of the market's external harddrives? Both my friend and I have similar (but not identical) Compaq Presarios. Both have Ultra DMA hard drives installed with Windows XP SP2. The same amount of memory installed so both meet the system requirements to boot XP. So in theory I guess it would work, but I'm hesitant to yank my hard drive out (I haven't even opened it yet) if I could use connect up a cable and use it as a storage device. Any suggestions?

I think you give Bernie too much credit, and not enough to Sega corporate groupthink. Bernie did hate imports and RPGs, though. It's a shame Sega banked so much on the CD format when it didn't have the power to really deliver. If Sega hadn't botched the Sega CD/Mega CD...and heck, even put it off for a while until they had Saturn...the industry would be quite a different beast. Gamers would be mainly Sega Dreamcast 2 fanboys and Nintendo Playstation 3 fanboys.

That's why you, you know, market the games. And Japanese games bombing on xbox are just par for the course. No update today--injured finger. Plenty more coming soon, though.

Totally agreed, but he was quite the hilarious prick at times.

You'd think a rich person could come up with a better I mean, normal people will often use their pet's name as a computer password, but I wonder how that guy remembered his doctor's appointments?
