  1. If this team gets shut down by AL LEITER.....
  2. Uh....which one was Alexis again? Have they revealed the weekly tally to ANYONE? They probably don't want to reveal that those thousands of votes from single computers accounts for 80-85% of the total. EDIT: Oh, she was the one that poured the beer all over herself. Can't feel too sorry for her after that.
  3. Right now I'm reading Casino: Love and Honor in Las Vegas by Nicholas Pileggi, the book the movie Casino was based on. I've been reading a bunch of Tom Clancy novels lately, and I needed a break. I'm about halfway through, and it's pretty good.
  4. Who are the new 1-2? The Cardinals and......Anaheim?
  5. So....I guess I AM doing the show again? If so, it'll be the same 10 PM deadline as last week. I can wait a little bit if it's just one match, but NOT until 2 in the friggin' morning (you know who you are). Where in Detroit will it be? I'm assuming the Joe Louis Arena, because Ford Field would be a stretch.
  6. Actually, both of you are probably right. The thing went 3 hours and most of the HRs were to right, right-center so it got boring watching the ball fly over there 30 times.
  7. It must be repeated: Dale Sveum is an idiot.
  8. And the no-no is no more as Kevin Mench hits a solo shot.
  9. The Yankees message board on ESPN.com is always good for a chuckle after games like these. Actually, so is the Red Sox one after tough losses. Especially the guy that said the Red Sox were just padding their stats. What, you want them to bunt for the rest of the game?
  10. I can post it again, but if someone else wants to, I won't get in the way since I had my turn. PK WILL make his first X-Title defense this week. EDIT: It will be Peter Knight defending against Christian Wright.
  11. Don't completely know if it's official, so I'll spoilerize it:
  12. Oh yeah, before I forget. *Bragging mode on* I found a site devoted to baseball history that Al HASN'T bookmarked yet. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/ Go me. *Bragging mode off*
  13. If you've played a game like DDR or Parappa the Rapper, it's easy to figure out.
  14. And Red Sox Nation trembles in fear at the notion of the return of Kevin Brown. After all, he was SO effective in last year's ALCS.
  15. And we WILL probably see them again if Wang is done for the year, they don't get Burnett and Wright, Pavano and Brown aren't 100% anytime soon.
  16. Who can say that Burnett won't falter as well? How many starters obtained at the deadline lately have really made a huge difference to their teams? I mean, Jeff Suppan anyone? There's the whole "moving from the NL to AL" part as well.
  17. Ninth grand slam this season for the Red Sox puts them up 17-1. So much for "WE'RE TAKING THE DIVISION THIS WEEKEND!!!"
  18. I'd like to do a little thing with PK and Zack which puts him solidly on the Originals side. Something like he agrees with what Zack said last week about respecting tradition and that he wants to roll with guys like those. Doesn't have to be this week, but if you want PK to pick a side sooner than later, that would be how I'd like to do it.
  19. Now let's see who the Yankee pitchers tonight REALLY are! *RRRRRIP* "And I would have gotten away if it weren't for you meddling kids!"
  20. TD Banknorth Garden
  21. And the Red Sox aren't going to just roll over and die after one loss at home. Hopefully Francona and management have learned their lesson and not put Schilling in those situations unless they're 100% confident he can get it done.
  22. I had a helluva fun time putting that together, I must say. Well done by everyone. A monster of a match from Alf that I'll have to read in full tomorrow. This pushed the "Originals vs. Upstarts" angle along very nicely. Again, well done. Oh, and I'm going to feel so very very old if no one gets the Tiffany reference.
  23. I posted the show. If I'm not on when PRL's stuff comes in, just slip it in the little space in bold titled "PRL's Appearance"
  24. Can't believe I agree with a Yankee fan for once. Schilling should NOT be a closer but more of a middle relief guy (say the 7th). He only really threw two bad pitches (which are magnified in relief) and his velocity wasn't all there. Taking the division? You really have that much confidence in the other two pitchers outside of Johnson?
