We changed servers, so that's probably the reason for the goof. I'm kind of hitting the wall here in writing my match right now, so it either will be sent in an hour (if I can get my neurons firing enough) or tomorrow afternoon (if not). Pray for me. EDIT: It'll be done tomorrow. I've got the beginning and the end down, but I suck at filling things out.

I dunno, I do see Nik's point about how the so-called "HD Crew" can get on people's nerves sometimes, especially by derailing site feedback threads and such. Of course, I don't really bother with them, so they don't bother me much (which is advice a lot of people should get). I'd like Nik to stay on myself, though if Nik isn't all that enamored with this place anymore, it'd be better for everyone if he's de-modded. And for the record, I was sad to see Loss go, but at least he caused the minimal amount of "drama" possible and didn't throw a tantrum, which I respect.

Who?

Ah, I can understand the decision. Manny's only had hit FIVE homers in a 72 hour span, with his last one almost landing on the highway. He probably was burned out. Terry, do you REALLY want the fans to turn against you again?
-
Here you go, kids. Sox have the Rays again, so it should be a good week for the champs. I believe Manny Ramirez is only 6 homers from 400.
-
I meant to ask: Is Josie back this week, or is Jasmine still playing GM? Doesn't matter who is, but I'd just like to know for my stuff.

I hope I got across what I wanted to with the change in PK's style; I never realize how short some of my matches are until I see them in the shows. Speaking of matches, a lot of em' this week. A bit of an odd start with Chris Stephens beating up Scott Hall, but it shows that Chris isn't staying away much longer. Good SG promo with the whole "I'm stronger than you think I am" angle. Interesting debut of the Birmingham Bad Boyz. That must be kind of tough to write the accents out like that, but it's good stuff. Great full-of-themselves promo from the Rockers. The fans' randomly screaming things at them was great. HOLLY, I WANT TO BE THE FATHER OF YOUR ABORTION! Their match was a nice wild affair with a good brawl at the end. Bah, I suck at feedback. I'll just sum up in saying that LA has been built up very nicely in the short time everyone has had. Should be a pretty good follow-up to AM.

This idea gets my Seal of Approval.

The good ol' Sports Guy sums up my feelings pretty nicely today:
-
TWO MINUTES into ATH, and Bill Plashke calls the incident "horrific". God, I feel like slapping all four of these guys around for an hour each.
-
I voted to keep it the 24th, but I don't really have a problem with either date myself. Some people already have everything all planned out, so moving it back a week would force them to scramble and write something extra. But if you do move it back, everyone could fine-tune what they're building and there wouldn't be a problem shortening the buildup for May's PPV, since we'd have a full month of HDs (4) to build up to that event.

Looked like the guy was trying to flick his hat off seeing the sweeping underhanded motion he used. If he wanted to actually really hit the guy, he probably would have actually looked at him and gave him a straight slap. It was just a little "Hee hee, I'll pretend to look this way and slap Sheffield's hat off to be a dick." The guy got ejected, and he's a season ticket holder, so the Sox should just revoke them and move on. The Patriots revoke season tickets for unruly fans fairly often.

Brock Ausstin vs. Jumbo, with Peter Knight on commentary. This is building to something, I assure you.

ESPN will be ALL over this tomorrow. PTI, Around the Horn, "OH MY GOD, THE FANS ARE OUT OF CONTROL!!!!!!" The guy should have just punched Sheff if everyone was going to go this nuts. Espeically Mr. Joe "These people shouldn't be walking the streets" Torre. The fan should have kept his hands out of the way, Sheffield overreacted (and said so after the game, to his credit. Though it did look like he was about to throw a punch when he turned back to the fan the second time), and Sox security got things cooled quickly, to their credit. Complete non-story. That won't stop the media from making it a story, though.
-
Yeah, that story came out after the '03 season, I believe. This is the last Yanks/Sox game until the end of May. Then they don't play until right after the All-Star break.

There's two threads on this, so one has to be closed. Nothing personal.

Wow, I guess Corey Dillon's signing a contract extension with the Pats flew completely under the radar. He's guaranteed $10 million over the next 2 years, and the deal can be stretched for three more years at a total of 5 years and $25 million. Corey's said that he really likes playing for a good system in NE and wants to end his career here. If he can keep putting up the numbers he did last year, this is a great deal (he probably will, since Charlie Weis never really utilized him enough last year, I thought).
-
Anyone else getting a widescreen effect on NESN right now? I'm guessing I got the HD feed by mistake, but it's actually a pretty cool look.
-
No they didn't. They're facing every '04 AFC playoff team, I believe (Indy, Pittsburgh, SD, Denver, and NY Jets). At least there are more 1:00 games this year; I was getting sick of all the 4:30 games at the end of last season.

The 2005 schedule for the three time Superbowl champs: Sep 8 Oakland 9:00pm * Sep 18 @Carolina 1:00pm Sep 25 @Pittsburgh 4:15pm Oct 2 San Diego 1:00pm Oct 9 @Atlanta 1:00pm Oct 16 @Denver 4:15pm Week 7 BYE Oct 30 Buffalo 8:30pm * Nov 7 Indianapolis 9:00pm * Nov 13 @Miami 1:00pm Nov 20 New Orleans 1:00pm Nov 27 @Kansas City 1:00pm Dec 4 N.Y. Jets 4:15pm Dec 11 @Buffalo 1:00pm Dec 17 Tampa Bay 1:30pm Dec 26 @N.Y. Jets 9:00pm * Jan 1 Miami 1:00pm The bye week is at least on a better week this year instead of Week 3 like last year. A pretty good run of road games to start the year; at Pitt, at Carolina, at Atlanta at Denver (which I'm surprised wasn't at least a Sunday night game, because I've heard a lot of interest about how the Pats would fare with Vick). Then there's the usual embarassment of Peyton, and it seems like all the divisional games are in the second half of the season. A pretty tough schedule all around and with all the changes the Pats will go through this year, I'll say 13-3 or 12-4
-
Also signed: Peter Knight vs. Jumbo. And will Prince Killings make an appearance? And shouldn't Brock Ausstin be a little ticked at what PK did last week?
-
Very nice ring ceremony I must say. Great moment as Mariano Rivera gets a huge ovation in his introduction, so he tips his cap at the Red Sox and laughs. Randy Johnson (who was standing next to him) was even laughing.

Ok, that sounds better. If that's the case, I'd still be willing to pitch in $5 a month ($10 if I can). I think we could see if some of the other mods would pitch in or, if it comes that far, asking the board at large.

So we will have to come up with a thousand dollars in a month? Goodbye TSM, how we will miss ye. Unless we ask every member to PayPal a dollar to us.
