  1. Read the first post in the thread, which has all the results (a good idea, IMO). My thoughts: Lacking a lot on the wrestling side of things. That double DQ seemed just to set up the Benoit/Jericho match, but they could have done a million different things to do it instead and I'm getting sick of seeing a hundred backdrops in a match involving Flair and Orton. HHH/Batista continues to slow burn nicely, though.
  2. They could throw a Trish/Victoria/Molly match in there, give them a bit of time (8 minutes isn't going to hurt anything), and they could put something decent together. Trish and Victoria were involved in the one at XIX, and that was pretty good for a women's match. Maybe throw in a fatal 4 way elimination match for the Cruiser title with Funaki, London, Spike, and Rey (if they want to bring him back down to that level). Also, I think we're going to see an Eddie/Booker match if the last month or so has told anyone anything. Either Eddie turns heel because he's sick of Booker blaming him for everything, or Booker turns because he's sick of Eddie screwing everything up. EDIT: Though the better way to go would be an Eddie/Rey match, since Rey's been booked very well in relation to Eddie. You could have Booker win the US title (if Cena's challenging for the big title) and tell Eddie "You cost me a title when we were a team, so I went and won one by myself." Hell, just throw him into the match and make it for the title if there's no one else good for Booker to defend against (I don't want to see either Kenzo or Dupree fighting for a title at Wrestlemania)
  3. I think HHH will outright assume that Batista will choose to go for the WWE title, and Batista will string him along for a few weeks, maybe until after NWO (so they can settle the JBL-Show situation). Then, the night after NWO, Batista declares he's made a decision, and invites both HHH and JBL/Show out. HHH goes off on the SD champ, saying that Evolution will kick his ass at Mania, etc. Batista tells HHH (nicely) to shut up, so HHH tells him "Well, ok, make this official then." So Batista turns to him and says "I will." Boot, Batista Bomb on HHH, and he walks up the ramp with a huge smile on his face as the show ends.
  4. So they had some frivolous "send-off" for the Pats in the Gillette parking lot this morning, with a stage and the mayor of Boston and the govenors of the New England states there (at least they didn't have John Kerry there, who would have called the QB "Tom Bruschi" or something). Save that stuff for the parade AFTER the game, guys.
  5. Don't make the universe collapse on itself like that. I might miss the game next Sunday.
  6. NO SHAMELESS PLUGS IN MY THREADS, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not bored. Lots of people post on internet messageboards at 5AM on Sundays...... Right?
  7. Someone sing me a lullaby so I can finally go to sleep. And I'll need some warm milk, too.
  8. *waves* But now you aren't anonymous anymore. HA!!! Got wrapped up in your own cleverness, didn't ya?
  9. Hey, here comes Bushwhacker Luke. He should do.......never mind.
  10. Oh, and I've got the REAL dirt on what happens in the Ultra Secret Mod Folder, AND THE BIDDING STARTS AT 10Gs!!!!!!

  12. Here comes Flair at #3. Guess he's not winning, huh?
  13. Well, according to ESPN.com, the Redskins let Rod Gardner seek out a trade. The Skins would want a 2nd rounder, and his base salary for '05 is just a shade under $1.5M, so that could be worthwhile.
  14. The Pats will clear a bunch of cap room dealing Law (probably for a 2nd round pick, unless they throw their first rounder in as well to either move up to a mid-round pick or get a first rounder in '06 (like they did with the Ravens a couple years ago; thanks for Vince Wilfork, guys!). I'd still try to get younger in the defense, ESPECIALLY in the linebacking corps. I mean, Bruschi and Co. do their jobs well, but McGinest is 34, Bruschi's 31, Ted Johnson is 33, and Roman Phifer is talking about retirement (the youngest guy there is Mike Vrabel, and he's 29), so they should definitely use a couple of picks to find some. Also, who knows if Rosevelt Colvin will ever fully recover from that hip injury. And I think they might also want to grab a backup QB in FA or the draft, because Rohan Davey just isn't impressing anyone.
  15. Unfortunately, this 2% talks the loudest, has a lot of money, and is a magnet for the cable news shows where they can annoy the rest of us.
  16. Soooo, should I just cancel that Ann Coulter Strip-o-Gram I ordered for your birthday?
  17. If you are in a situation where you have to leave a game or a movie paused for HOURS, just turn the set off, and turn it back on when you come back.
  18. TO's an attention whore, and wants to risk his career on playing one game where he will be the focus of the media attention. Seems kind of straightforward to me.
  19. It's been a two week break for a long time now. There was only a one-week break in 2002 because the season was delayed a week due to 9/11 and, if I remember, the NFL couldn't postpone the game because someone else was going to use the Superdome the week after the scheduled SB date.
  20. How the hell did they turn that into a chant? "I'm *clap clap* from Ma-ry-land, no-one can beat me!"

  22. Avatar: This one or This one with the custom title of "My gastronomically challenged sack of monkey love" No idea about a sig.
  23. I don't know if I can build up the ability to care enough to be offended by that or not.
  24. Boston College remains undefeated, squeaking by Providence 78-75. Looking at their schedule, they've played only two ranked teams (Connecticut and West Virginia) while barely squeaking by teams like Holy Cross, Kent State and Yale. If they end up with a #1 in the tourney, I could see them getting knocked off by a #16.
  25. I think they're banking on him turning in a miracle, Schilling-esque performance. Few things wrong with that: TO had a MUCH worse injury (Schilling's was a torn tendon, TO actually broke a bone), TO will have to do much more on that ankle than just push off on it, and Schilling didn't have to jump for anything and land on that ankle before getting hit by a 250 pound guy. Owens will not be anywhere near what he's capable of, and he might just be dragging his team down if he tries to go out there and is too stubborn to pull himself out if it's clear he can't play.
