  1. I wouldn't exactly call Paul Abbott a solution to anything. I mean, yeah, he's a stopgap, but he has no business on a team competing for first. IIRC, Padilla and Wolf were hurt, plus Telemaco (who would normally be a fill-in starter). Seeing as they don't want to bring up a young guy yet, they had to get someone to fill in. Padilla & Telemaco are still hurt, and they're still reluctant to bring up a young guy, so that's why he's still there.
  2. Pro-Orton bias? Never thought I'd see the day.
  3. The Pack, Ravens, Broncos, and Rams have no business being ahead of the Panthers. -Pack - aging QB, suspect D, RB who fumbles a lot, average WR's. Severely overrated here. -Ravens - no QB -Broncos - lost Portis, OK D, Plummer isn't a big time NFL QB (or at least big enough to get to a SB) -Rams - Faulk's status?, very inconsistent QB, average D I'd even bump the Cheifs down (great O, but D is nothing special). Pats & Eagles are the clearcut faves (and I hate them both), but after that it's a toss up.
  4. That sounds like Karelin's finisher from VPW2. I gave that to my CAW in that game, but I wasn't aware (or maybe I just forgot) that it was in No Mercy.
  5. That redhead is soooooo annoying.
  6. This show could use some Palumbo.
  7. Oops! Rikishi was fired. CHUCK PALUMBO~! Now all it needs is some Jamie Knoble.
  8. He supposedly developed a huge ego backstage.
  9. When he's not using his super-redneck voice, Knoble can cut a good enough promo. He did a damn good one backstage after losing a match right before they brought in Nunzio.
  10. I believe you mean Orlando JORDAN. But, alas, the WCW Buy-Out Killer is still in the company. I can't remember the last time he had a match, but I haven't seen any news of his release, so I'm assuming he's still there.
  11. REPRAZENTIN' DA ILLADELPH~ Um, anyway, happy birthday to a fellow Philly-area TSM'er.
  12. Hopefully Knoble's isn't serious. I always liked the guy, but he's become one of my favorite guys in the entire company.
  13. I could be wrong, but I think Cena is actually lefty.
  14. I agree with all the pro-A-Train arguments. He's far from the worst guy on the roster, and is probably one of the better big men in the company. I'd go as far as to say A-Train > Kane.
  15. True, but the overall quality of the shows (from the top all the way down to the lower card) are up now as opposed to when Eddie was champ. I'm sure it wasn't an intentional sabotaging of Eddie's run, but the fact is the entire show is better now than when Eddie was champ, leading to better ratings.
  16. And the problem is? The problem is they ended up messing up the whole angle just to appease guys like Bob Holly, Bill Gunn, and Bradshaw. In order to make the angle work, you'd have to book WCW guys to go over WWF guys. All the WWF guys don't have to job, but to make it work, some of the top guys wold have to do jobs which they would just get back anyway.
  17. All these Nirvana mentions, but not their cover of "Where Did You Sleep Last Night"?
  18. Batista need to be more pimp-tastic.
  19. Hmmm. Eddie is champ, and the rest of the show is garbage. JBL wins the belt, and suddenly the rest of the show is booked better, and they utilize the cruisers as something other than hoss fodder.
  20. Psssst. You might want to make arrangements to not be home tonight. Just a heads up
  21. He's mentioned it a few times in the past. Lately, he mentioned it in the "Would You" thread in the LS&D folder.
  22. Except that his "league" is totally different!
  23. I think the comparison he is making is that he thinks Angle is going to wrestle himself into a wheelchair and a young age. He's not comparing the skill levels of the 2 guys.
