[mark explanation below] With ring experience, you bounce off the ropes thousands of times. Therefore, you expect the top rope to touch your shoulder blades at about the same point every time. When the rope isn't there, it causes you to lose your concentration. It's like a running back whose shoe suddenly comes untied; you lose focus and often can't steady yourself in time. How about this: you expect to contact the rope at a certain point on your back/shoulder, so you instictively lean into the ropes expecting them to be there at that spot. You lean, but the rope isn't there, so you're off-balance w/ your momentum taking you over the ropes.

Just yank the post counts. If anyone complains, tough luck. If anyone threatens to leave, then why were they even here in the 1st place?

This would be the worst possible outcome. By all accounts, Goldberg will be gone after WM, so having him win the rumble to face Lesnar is a waste of time considering the other storylines that could come out of other guys winning.

It also didn't help that they treated the WCW guys like total jobbers (and, really, many today aren't much higher in the food chain), completely turning off many WCW fans who may have wanted to stick around.

Off topic, you'll be happy to know Mark Quinn ended up with the Cardinals, minor league deal. I remember reading about that game. Howard Johnson pinch hit in the 9th, and got 5 AB's before it was over. It was fireworks night, and they proceeded w/ the display at whatever o'clock in the morning the game ended.

Why not? You hear guys like Ole Anderson (shoot interview) and Dusty (in the Flair DVD), to name a few, talk about "drawing money", so why wouldn't today's guys use it? Especially in reference to a guy like Taker who hardly "gives the rub" to the younger guys (never did a clean job to Cena, beat Brock & Show in a 3-way to set up a feud w/ *Vince*), and who always works to make sure he gets his win at WM to preserve his streak. If anybody has a right to throw around "smart" talk, it's guys in the business.

That makes 2 of us. Anybody else notice Pinkston didn't get 2 feet in bounds on his long pass down the sideline? He bobbled it for a few steps, and when he finally had it under control, the toes of his 2nd foot came down out of bounds (a good couple inches). When seeing the replay, my father (an Eagles fan) agreed. I'm surprised none of the announcers saw it.

You know, the QB for the football team?") as a wink to her real-life self.

It was probably a penalty, but the refs had been calling a pretty loose game, and letting the players play. Add in the fact that the ref had to think.....think......think.....wait.......wait......and then throw a flag. If it was such an obvious call, throw the flag right away. If you've got to re-play the play in your head to decide, don't throw the flag, because there's a chance you could get the details wrong. Grrrrrr......

No way Heidenreich makes it into the Rumble. He dropped from Raw, to Heat (and jobbing to Rico), to not even on TV. It's pretty bad when you're his size in Vince-land and can't make it on TV. Unless he makes some miraculous strides in his work ( ::snicker:: ), he won't be in the Rumble. I could maybe see Stevie sneaking in, though. They seem to be giving him a little push (insofar as 3 roll-up wins over Test is a push), so they may stick him in there.
