How so? Mario's been the face of Nintendo since SMB was released. DK was big early, but pretty much died out when Mario came along. If DK stays in class 1, then Pitfall should be taken out. Pitfall shouldn't even make the 1st couple classes.

I'd put Super Mario Bros. in the 1st class, and take out Donkey Kong.

All Bob is saying is that Kanyon has the skills, talent, and charisma to be a good mid-card player and to get over in the WWE w/out having to use the Mortis gimmick. Bob's not saying they should push him to the moon, have him squash Brock, Angle, Show, HHH, Rock, Austin, and Taker for the Title Belt, and hold on to it for 10 years, so where did all this "Kanyon isn't a draw" argument stem from?

Well, James Vandenburg was his manager, and I doubt they've signed him. And the monk "vignettes" weren't really vignettes. Kanyon did a couple quick promos before a couple matches, and that was the extent of it.

I'm torn. He obviously won't be able to use his "Who betta?" catchphrase, but if he ends up getting a push I can deal w/ it. Exactly. But he's a WCW buy-out guy, and as such will get treated like a 2nd class citizen.

All 3 members of the FBI pick up wins! Looks like an OK show. The opening tag match will make the show better than all of Raw, and the Spanky blade-job looks vicious. Rhyno/Tajiri should be good. Since wrestling is becoming less and less mainstream, they're trying to keep their core audience. They're trying to do it by pushing the storylines more toward appealing to those "in the know" about the business. Hey, it worked so well for Russo in WCW, they might as well try it here...

The thing w/ Lucas is, when he has a yes-man like McCallum, the movies turn out sub-par/below expectations (Ep. I and II). Yet when he had someone willing to challenge him like Kasdan, he came up w/ the best of the 5 (ESB). Also, I think the advancements in technology have actually hurt the movies. When all he had was stop-motion and guys in costumes, he could focus on the characters and the story. Now that he's got all this computer animation at his fingertips, he's focusing on that at the expense of the story & characters. Sure, the computer animations look fantastic, but they aren't really enhancing the storytelling.

It's not that Goldberg couldn't beat Flair the 1st time, it's that interference prevented him from getting the win. Goldy was in position to spear Flair when Orton cracked him w/ a chair, causing a DQ. Back in his day, Flair was guilty of political games. But now Flair has no political pull, so it's ridiculous to use that argument now.

I don't know about that particular argument. It's kinda like saying HHH pulling off his poor Ric Flair imitation makes Ric Flair a worse wrestler. The originator can't control the quality of its successors.

Huh? Care to explain this? They had 1 video post-Ten, and it hardly got play on MTV. They don't promote their albums w/ anything other than a tour. Unless you're referring to the live CD's?
