Whoops! Iraqi explosives disappear under our guard
Rob E Dangerously replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
That's not such a big deal. I'm sure you'd tell that to the Americans who have fallen victim to those attacks. Considering your record of bashing Cleland and Kerry, you'd probably bash them too. we sure did dry up their source when those 380 tons (from one place) fell into the hands of anybody who needed some explosive. It took one pound of PETN to down Pan-Am 101. But hey.. we've got tons and tons of munitions. A few hundred tons of explosives isn't such a big deal. -

Your lies in response to this story are the pathetic thing here Do you have anything to show that it's all 110,000 tons of explosives? Now.. if these were explosives that were destroyed and not generally munitions.. wouldn't they note that in the story. "110,000 tons" of what? well.. what was mentioned in the paragraph before that stuff about the destruction? MUNITIONS -

to quote your article: 110K tons of what? it appears that it's 110,000 tons of munitions that was destroyed, and 138,000 tons are on the way out. Now.. what's a munition? What does the US military say? http://pmdtc.org/usml.htm Your article suggests it's tons of MUNITIONS not EXPLOSIVES. Nothing in your article suggests otherwise. 110,000 tons of munitions were destroyed. Be honest with us all and stop bullshitting this board. 110,000 tons of munitions not 110,000 tons of explosives unless there's explosive handguns now. -

This is a gun: This is a grenade: This is a rocket launcher: These are munitions: What went missing from Al-Qaaqaa? HMX RDX PETN but are those just letters? Nope http://www.usatoday.com/news/index/crash/ncrash16.htm http://www.totse.com/en/bad_ideas/ka_fucking_boom/rdx.html http://www.islandgroup.com/ExplosiveChemistry.html But if you choose to believe Mike, one pound of HMX, RDX or PETN is just as bad as a one pound bullet, a one pound rocket, a one pound grenade But wait? aren't all munitions explosives like the ones described? *looks at the picture posted* Nope If you shot caffeine into a hamster, you couldn't get better spin than what Mike is going for here. -

yeah.. 380 tons of explosives isn't a big deal. When you compare it to the tons of bullets, grenades and so on. Well, that makes us all feel much better. We may have 60 apples missing, but we've found 50,000 oranges! -
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...tion_challenges We'll see what happens with those challenges in Cuyahoga county. But what happened with the challenges in Cincinnati (Hamilton county) and Columbus (Franklin county) increases the chances that the media will be sent to Cleveland. Which is probably something they'd prefer not to do. And we'll see if that does much for the blood pressure for the people on both sides.

it was a possible overreaction on my part. Although it seems like the messege could be intrepreted as "This is more important, Rehnquist will die soon". The first part is true, the second probably isn't. Now, if Kerry had mentioned that and used it as a reason to elect him, that would be exploiting it. Same as if Bush did it.

And the new Gallup is in LV: 51-46 Bush (down from 52-44) and the samples! and the RV is pretty much a tie Gallup with two gains.. a gain in Kerry's total and in the number of Republicans sampled

Yet both are very solid justices. However, Souter should have never been seated... -=Mike You never know. It's surprising that we've went for 10 years without a vacancy. Somebody should check history to see if this is a record. and Kerry voted against Souter, so he's not to blame for that. Granted, he turned out to be a surprise, didn't he?

Now.. that's spin "The entire place has weapons.. it's no big deal that 380 tons of it has disappeared!" Do you REALLY want to get into a battle of dueling campaign e-mails? -=Mike I'm actually waiting on Mehlman's e-mail to get to my inbox. Yes, I get the BC04 e-mails, for entertainment value. I think the Mehlman e-mail is close to the messege from the Bush administration -
I wouldn't play up the health problems of a justice. It's not a good idea. There will be a vacancy on the court by 2009. It's inevitable. But we don't know who will be the one to leave first. It could be Stevens or O'Connor. I doubt that Scalia or Thomas would be confirmed

and the supposed e-mail from the Bush mailing list. Now.. that's spin "The entire place has weapons.. it's no big deal that 380 tons of it has disappeared!" Do you think they've not noticed that there's tons of weapons that are now out on the market? Meanwhile.. McClellan makes me miss Ari http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/20...20041025-1.html -
Yeah.. I heard something like 90% of people survive thyroid cancer or something high. Interesting how you're exploiting a man's age and exaggerating his health problems to try and pitch your candidate.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/10/25/...ives/index.html Yeah.. I guess we're not fighting an enemy smart enough to notice that they were able to get tons of explosives. We're facing a 1+?=2 group, according to the administration -

Imagine what would happen if gay marriage got a hold of those 300 tons of Iraqi explosives. Then they'd destroy the world, big time! -

Whoops! Iraqi explosives disappear under our guard
Rob E Dangerously replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
yeah.. I hope we guarded something of importance in Iraq as we were invading. Terrorists having a lot of explosives or access to explosives is generally a bad thing. I think this situation was preventable. Yet, that site was not guarded.
