The WCW World Title...NOT the Big Gold belt, but the one that Vader had, reminded me of a big ass tag title. Not a World Championship. When Sting & Flair wrestled to "unify" the titles on the Clash of the Champions (its on the Flair DVD), I'm glad they they kept the Big Gold Belt because it just displayed "CHAMPION". I wonder whatever happened to that old WCW World Title anyway. Dames

Jack Bauer will save the day again..
The Dames replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Television & Film
"I can get my own FUCKING job, Erin". Jack Bauer to Erin Driscoll in the Season 4 preview on the Season 3 DVD. I marked out. HARD. Dames -
So, a Chokeslam and a Last Ride won't take him down against the Undertaker... but an FU 9 minutes in ends his 8 month Title Reign? Dames

Winged Eagle > Big Gold to me. I LOVE the Big Gold Belt, but the Winged Eagle in my mind is "Bret's belt" and therefore, nothing is better. That and I didn't get into WCW/NWA until the early 90's so I was always engrained that the Winged Eagle is what the World Title was supposed to look like... Dames

Now this I'd like to see play out a little longer. Could this be the next Classic Thread? Dames

She was the one who told a ridiculously bad joke at No Way Out and got booed for it during the "Rookie Diva Contest". Dames

One and Only "ECW: One Night Stand" Thread

You can head back to your corners now, gentlemen. Dames -
I honestly would, but I don't have a copy of it and I can't seem to download it. The servers at PWTorrents were swarmed for days... Dames

Why did you post this here? Dames

Well, while this bastard enjoys posting fake news and stories... I enjoy banning them. Dames

That's interesting. All I ever heard was that he was constantly trashing the company in interviews for quite a while. Dames

Well, other than Raven & Douglas, who else would have came from TNA? Kid Kash isn't under contract anymore. Lynn hasn't been in TNA in over a year... Dames

If you were asking me, probably because there will be some people that won't be at ONS that will be at HH, guys like Raven, Douglas (obviously), most likely New Jack now. Plus being at the ECW Arena gives it a more authentic feel as well. I don't see anything wrong with having two tribute shows. Dames
-
I'm not going to argue whether or not ONS > HH or vice versa, but the fact that you don't know/realize/care who the other guy is and what that match signifies means you really don't know much about ECW then. Dames

It was Vince's call not to use the TNA guys, that's what happened... Dames

I remember playing the SMS when it first came out and absolutely LOVING "My Hero". Anyone else remember that? There was a glitch in the first stage where if you stood in one spot, the enemies would jump and continually respawn the moment you killed them, allowing for ridiculous high scores... Dames

If there is a next ECW event, its planned for November... So it's probably November 2 Remember. Dames

It's on WM 19's DVD actually, that was the Heat match. Dames <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WM 19 was Val (as Chief Morley) & Storm vs. RVD & Kane. WM XX's DVD has Val & Storm (doing his fun guy gimmick) vs. Dudleys in a Sunday Night Heat main event from about a week before the show to determine which team gets a spot in the fatal 4-way Tag Title match. I haven't seen it since it first aired on TV, but I remember it being pretty good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I stand corrected. The Dudleys had gotten involved in the Val/Storm vs. RVD/Kane match at WM 19 and I had gotten the two confused. Actually, I don't believe I've ever seen the match in question... I'll check it out on the DVD. Dames

Well, he did get the ECW World Title... But was Horribly misused in WWE. Dames
-
Me either...I'm impressed. Dames

It's on WM 19's DVD actually, that was the Heat match. As for Val/Mick, that took place in late 99 and in his book, Foley even stated that he was out of shape and didn't put over Venis the way he wanted to. Dames

Those guys are the exception, not the rule. MMA today has most DEFINITELY evolved from the early days of UFC, where there were no weight classes, no rules and seemingly no technique until Royce Gracie changed that. If you're not a well rounded fighter today, with good stand up, defense and submission skills, you're kidding yourself if you honestly believe that you can easily be one of the top fighters in the world. I dont want to get into specific angles, but one of the main things that needed to be done was to stabilize the World Title. It changed hands on an average of 2x a month and Jarrett became a 4x Champ in 2 months. And of course, David Arquette shouldn't have ever touched that title. Dames

Well, storyline wise, it can go either way. Bischoff's always disliked JR & Lawler, but Tazz is former ECW, so it all depends on what they want to play up more... Dames

Cherry seems to have stuck around. That's the only non-standard Pepsi I care for. Screw everything else, including Diet. I know someone who drinks Caffiene free, Diet Pepsi. Where's the taste!? Dames
