  1. Silvervision have an offer on, with 2004 DVDs on offer. Wrestlemania 2004 is just £5.99 which is an awesome price. All other events are £5.99, except that NWO is just £3.99. Any way you cut it, if you don't have Eddie's DVD, Lesnar/Eddie is worth £3.99 to have in your collection.
  2. Date: January 6th 2005 Time: 11:40pm, hours after SWF Lockdown. Location: Manchester, New Hampshire. Alan Clark's hotel room. With Lockdown over and the, quite frankly shocking events at the end of the night still yet to sink in, three weary looking men and their 'manageress' have retired to their hotel for the night. For Alan Clark and Todd Cortez, victory had put them in good standing in the tag team division. In the process, they had sent a firm message to Revolution Zero. And by way of Toxxic and Sean Davis' loss, the Revolution had lost some more power. Good news for Martial Law, of course. For their ally Landon Maddix though, Lockdown had not been all good news. Far from it. Laying heavy on Maddix's mind as he sits in an uncomfortable looking wicker chair, January 14th. His draw with Sacred hours earlier means Maddix faces his first World Title defence. In not the most positive of circumstances. In Maddix's lap sits the SWF World Heavyweight Championship belt. The not too positive looking Maddix looks down, staring back at his reflection in the main gold plate. Megan sits on one side of the bed flicking through some fashion magazine that's at least four months old, but the only literary material she could find in reception. Looking over her shoulder is Todd Cortez, looking far too interesting in a fashion magazine. Meanwhile, stepping out of a door to the right of the bed, Alan Clark whistles away to himself, wearing just a towel. Not a sight Cortez looks happy to see. Understandably. "I still can't believe it was him." Clark finally mutters, breaking the icy silence in the room. "One minute we're all getting carted off and there I am, trying to get after Sean Davis again and away from whoever was holding me back." Maddix rolls his eyes. "And then, I heard it. 'Dace F'n Night! Dace F'n Night! Dace F'n Night!' I look up into the ring and there he is, beating the hell out of Toxxic!" "We know, we were there too, remember?" Cortez sighs. "It's crazy guys! I mean, just think of how many weeks Dace might have been working as a security guy, waiting for that one brawl to kick off and waiting for that one chance to get at Toxxic. I mean, for all we know, he could have been planning this for months on end!" With a sigh of her own, Megan reaches into her pocket and places some headphones in her ears, Landon looking at her in envy. Clark has been jammering on for the past hour on and off. What he wouldn't give for some headphones right now. Or a gun. "Dace Night. Mak Francis. Wildchild and Johnny Dangerous. I tell ya, with all these guys coming back, I don't envy you champ." "And...why would that be." Maddix asks curiously. "Well, let's face it, they didn't come back with thoughts of starting at the bottom and working up the ranks. They don't need to, do they? Mak's a three-time US Champ, former ICTV Champ. More than good enough to be World Champion. Wildchild...best Hardcore Champion ever, one of the most prolific Tag Team Champions ever, former Cruiserweight Champ. He's beaten you before. Dace is a former ICTV Champ, he's plenty good enough to win the World Title. Johnny's a former World Champion and he knows that he can beat you. You know...come to think of it, it's not a good time to be champion. Let's face it, I haven't even mentioned Toxxic and Sacred yet. Max King wants you. Sooner or later, Davis might get itchy feet and want a title shot. Same for Spike. Then there's the Clusterfuck, anyone could win that. Even Cortez. Even me!" Cortez stiffles a laugh. "We've beaten you before, don't forget. And of course, you have to worry about TWO belts. Not just one, TWO." Staring at Clark, Maddix's bad mood has just been tripled. "You done?" "Uhm...yeah, but you never know who's going to return next. I mean, if Mak can come back, then...well, who's to say other big names won't be back and after your title in the near future?" "..." "Alan..." Cortez quickly speaks up, sensing that Maddix is rapidly reaching boiling point. "...now's not the time." Finally stopping, Alan looks around and sees the look on Maddix's face...eyes piercing through him. Clark sighs. He ALWAYS gives him that look. Just because he has a tendancy to talk alot sometimes. He always gets THAT look. What he wouldn't give to wipe that look off of Maddix's face. With a gun. "Sorry." Clark finally mumbles, shaking his deep rooted thoughts out of his head momentarily. "I was just saying..." "Look, I know how tough it's gonna be for me to keep this World Championship Alan, believe me. I don't need you reminding me. But I'm not going to let it throw me. Dace Night, Wildchild, Mak Francis...not gonna throw me. I mean, what's the worst that can happen? Janus comes back. Thugg comes back. MacPhisto comes back. Galatea comes back. Mayor McCheese comes back. I'm not much of a World Champion if I go into meltdown every time another challenger to the belt steps up, am I?" "Isn't McCheese dea..." "Besides...I've got to worry about Sacred right now. Everyone else can wait." Head down, looking at the World Heavyweight Championship belt in his lap, Maddix stares long and hard into the gold plate. Another silence has filled the air as Cortez stares at Maddix, trying to gauge his state of mind. It's almost as if there's doubt in the champion's eyes. Almost visable. As if, Maddix is looking at someone elses championship. "You know, I was thinking." pipes up Clark again. "It's ironic. Sacred winning the World Title might be a good thing." Sighing, Cortez hangs his head. Just when Clark couldn't piss Maddix off any more, he just has. Standing up from his chair, Maddix begins to walk over to where Clark sits, towering over his unlikely ally, fuming. "Excuse me!?!" "What?" Clark mumbles innocently. "You think SACRED..as World Champion..would be a GOOD thing!?!" Maddix fumes, getting ever closer to strangling Clark as Cortez is forced to step between the two and move Maddix back. But despite the friend and team-mate's best efforts, Maddix is still trying to get at Clark. "You're saying that ME, LOSING...would be a GOOD thing!?!" "Landon, leave it..." Cortez pleads as Megan sees the commotion and pulls off her headphones. "You wanna get you priorities set Clark! We're supposed to be UNITED to take down Revolution Zero. UNITED! United doesn't mean you hoping I LOSE this title!" "I'm not hop..." "We're supposed to be team-mates now, you STUPID, son of a BITCH!" And now, Clark stands up and glares at Maddix, the uneasy alliance threatening to break down. Now, Clark is advancing on Maddix, despite Megan trying to hold him back...while trying not to accidently disrobe him. "ALRIGHT...ENOUGH!" Suddenly, Cortez speaks up and right on cue Clark stops in his tracks, understandably surprised to see the usually calm Todd Cortez yelling in such an unaccustomed way. Maddix stops too, but is still clearly fuming. And as Cortez and Megan continue to stand between the two men, Maddix turns away towards the door. Only to stop, look at Clark... ...and gather up his two title belts, before storming out of the room and slamming the door behind him. Leaving behind him, another awkward silence. "What IS it with you, huh?" snaps Cortez as he regains his bearings, aiming his fury at Clark who sits back down on the bed calmly. "You just can't resist winding him up, can you? I thought we agreed, when I suggested this..when you AGREED to this. I thought we agreed that you'd try to get on with Maddix. And yet, here we are, arguing and fighting amongst ourselves." Sighing, Cortez slumps back down frustratedly. "...what did you mean anyway?" "About Sacred?" "Yeah." "Well, you heard a while back...that interview Sean Davis did. When he said he'd step back from the World Title shot he's more than entitled to, so that Toxxic can go after the World Title instead?" Clark looks up as Cortez nods. "And then there's Spike Jenkins. He was sent by Toxxic to get the ICTV Title from Maddix before, so you'd imagine that Toxxic would have had plans for Spike as ICTV Champ. Plans that would have kept him clear of the World Championship." Cortez nods again. "So, you have Davis, loyal to his leader...Spike, loyal to his leader. Sacred?" Clark makes like he's musing the thought over a bit, before shaking his head. "So..." "So? Todd, look at it this way. What was Sacred's main reason for returning? Toxxic. Revolution Zero. Or the same thing he's been after for years...glory..and respect." It all seems to be sinking in for Cortez now, Megan too. "I'm sure Sacred's loyal to Revolution Zero, don't get me wrong. But, and maybe it's just me I don't know...but, I can't see Sacred being content with playing second fiddle to Toxxic all of his life. He's going for the World Title after all." A wry smile creeps over Clark's face as he looks up again. "And, do you think that Sacred would let Toxxic 'lead' him if he was holding the World Heavyweight Title." "You think Sacred wants to lead Revolution Zero?" "Well, no...but I don't think any World Champion would want to play second fiddle in a stable setting. Let's face it, Maddix thinks he's leading us. If you or I were to say we were the leader of Martial Law, he'd be storming out of the room faster than he did just now. Sacred's a veteran though. It must be hard for him to be lead by someone who's so much younger and has so much less wrestling experience than him as it is. But if Sacred's World Champion, he might want to lead Rev Zero. Toxxic would still secretly or maybe not so secretly want the World Title for himself. And...well, I just think Revolution Zero imploding with Sacred as champion is...a quicker prospect than us taking them down." Shrugging, Clark sighs to himself as he stands up from the bed and grabs a towel off of the desk behind him. "I'm goin' for a shower. If Maddix gets back before I'm done, have a word with him would you?" "Sure thing." Cortez mutters absent mindedly as Clark leaves to his en-suite, shutting the door behind him. A few seconds later, the sound of water can be heard, loud enough for Clark to be considered out of earshot. Laughing to himself and shaking his head, it seems the Hardcore Gamers Champion doesn't seem too convinced by Clark's premonitions. "And to think, I thought Mike and Mask were bad." Megan giggles to herself. "Oh, this is nothing." "Should...someone go after Landon?" "Best not. I think he's going through one of his 'self-doubting' phases and when he gets like that, every little thing anyone says plays on his mind. That's why he over-reacted to Alan. Best to give him some space." "He'll be alright for the 14th though, right?" "...probably." Smile disappearing from her face, Megan stares into space. "But, if there's one person he wouldn't want to be wrestling in this state of mind, it's Sacred..."
  3. Yeah, for a Shotgun jobber. Calls himself the Fallen Angel apparantly... The guy we're talking about certainly isn't good.
  4. "...and welcome back to Lockdown!" *PPPPFFFTTT!* Suddenly, the buzzing of screen static interrupts any plans King and Pete had for discussion. The Manchester crowd rise to their feet, booing wildly already, as from in the ring Maddix watches on intently. “There is nothing wrong with your television set.” Andrew Blackwell's voice cuts in, causing the boos to go up a notch. “Do not attempt to adjust the picture.” "Here we go..." King says, salivating at the thought of Maddix getting destroyed. "Some may say Sacred has been a little jaded since his return..." “We will control the horizontal.” "...but the events of recent weeks have no doubt brought some of the 'old', more downright intimidating Sacred back..." “We will control the vertical.” "...which is exactly the Sacred that can become World Champion." “We are controlling transmission….” Finally the picture returns to normal, just as the lights begin to dim and "Tainted" by Lycia begins to play through the P.A system. Jumping from foot to foot in an attempt to get loosened up, Maddix tries to listen to the words of his valet Megan, over the rampant boos and Sacred's music. Meanwhile, back up on the rampway, Sacred has emerged. As the spotlights hit him, Sacred begins to walk down the aisle, hearing the crowd's reaction, the boos greeting him like an old friend. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Seven Minute Challenge...with...a seven minute time-limit. Obviously. In this match, if Sacred can last seven minutes without being beaten, he will recieve a World Title shot. If he can win, he will get to choose a stipulation for that match. But should he lose, he will get no title shot. Introducing at this time...representing Revolution Zero! From Adelaide, Australia...he weighs two hundred and sixteen pounds. This...is... SAAAAACCRRRREEEDD!!!" "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Rolling into the ring, Sacred starts to pull himself up... "And, currently in the ring. He represe...WOAH!" ...as Maddix suddenly bursts past Funyon and slams his boot into the rising Sacred's head, getting the jump on his opponent! Quickly as he possibly can, Sexton Hardcastle gets Maddix's belts and Megan Skye out of the ring. *DING DING DING!* Before calling for the bell. And as soon as the bell sounds, a timer appears on the SmarkTron, set at 7:00 but already ticking down the second as Maddix continues to stomp away on Sacred. Not having reached his feet yet, Sacred has been hit by at least seven or eight kicks and seeing no let-up, decides to roll back out of the ring to give himself a chance to get his head together. "And straight away, we see the cheating tactics of the 'champ'." King grumbles. "Maddix has got to come out like this King. Sacred doesn't have to win in seven minutes, Maddix does. So Maddix has to try and wrestle a quick pace." As soon as Sacred rolls outside, referee Hardcastle moves in and gets Maddix to retreat. Sacred crouches on the floor and grimaces as he cracks his neck, in no hurry to get back in...and no reason to be in a hurry. "ONE!" Hardcastle begins to put a count on from in the ring. But as his attention turns, Maddix qucikly slides out of the ring and goes after Sacred...who's waiting with a quick boot to the gut, before slamming a forearm between Maddix's shoulder blades. And again. Maddix shoves Sacred away weakly, but the Aussie is quick to boot Maddix again. As Maddix doubles over, Sacred follows up by slamming a forearm across Maddix's jaw. "TWO!" And a second forearm. But again, Maddix pushes the aggressive Sacred off, so Sacred quickly grabs the World Champion around the back of the head and hurls him face-first into the ring apron! As Maddix bounces back and staggers past him, Sacred coolly casts a glare up at Hardcastle, letting him know he doesn't care about any count. Slumped up against the railings, Maddix is wide open for another boot from Sacred. Following it up, Sacred smashes Maddix in the jaw with another stiff, methodical forearm. "THREE!" As the count goes on, Sacred lines up Maddix again on the railings... ...but Maddix ducks a right-handed forearm, causing Sacred to whip himself into the railings instead, before hurriedly grabbing Sacred and bundling him back into the ring. Maddix then follows, backing himself into the centre of the ring and beckoning the Revolution member up. With anger covering his face, Sacred pulls himself to his feet and turns around with a forearm wielded. But Maddix is waiting with a forearm of his own, beating Sacred to the 'punch'. A second forearm from Maddix is blocked by Sacred's raised arms though, allowing him to hook on a side headlock and take Maddix to the ground in the hold. "Smart move." approves King. "Sacred, looking to dictate the pace here." Trapped on the canvas is not the position Maddix wants to be in, with a good half a minute already gone in the match. From the outside, Megan Skye reminds Maddix that time is against him, as Sacred forces Maddix's shoulders to the canvas in the headlock... ONE! T... Maddix lifts up his legs, wrapping them around Sacred's neck. Releasing the headlock, Sacred rolls onto all fours with his head trapped between Maddix's knees. But any thoughts he has of trying to escape are pointless as Maddix releases the hold moments after breaking the headlock, spinning on his rear like some sort of break-dancer, stopping beside Sacred and tumbling over him. Sacred blocks the Oklahoma roll attempt though, pressing Maddix's shoudlers down again... ONE! T... Again Landon is out quickly, but his veteran opponent has him in a rear chinlock just as quickly. "DAMN IT!" Cursing to all that can hear him, Maddix rolls to a seated position. Sacred releases the rear chinlock and instead grabs hold of Maddix's wrists, pulling the World Champion's arms towards his back, whilst digging in a knee between the shoulder blades for more leverage. "Well, I guess Sacred isn't overly concerned with any stipulation...he may simply stretch this kid out for seven minutes." "May? No no, he will." King corrects Doggah. "Maddix isn't the most technically gifted wrestler against the spottiest of spot monkeys. But against Sacred? Phff, forget about it." With a growl of anger, Sacred wrenches back with the hold once more. "Yeah, but is Sacred content with biding his time?" Pete questions. "You said it yourself, recent weeks have brought out the bitterness in Sacred and you KNOW he's pissed off with Maddix in particular." And Pete's thoughts seem to be right, as Sacred briefly releases one of of Maddix's arms to slam a forearm strike into the back of Maddix's neck, then grabbing the arm back once more. Hardcastle is right there to check for a submission, but Maddix won't give. Pushing to one knee, Maddix starts to try and turn to the right slightly, as he reaches his second knee. The clock lies behind Maddix now as he stops on his knees, unable to turn any further. Suddenly, Sacred releases the surfboard and hooks his arms over Maddix's now, pulling them back into a double chickenwing! "MAD - DIX! MAD - DIX! MAD - DIX!" The fans need no further encouragement as Sacred has Maddix ready for the Narcosynthesis, rallying behind the champ. Fear on his face, Maddix quickly stands up to lessen Sacred's leverage. Sacred hangs on though, trying to force Maddix down. "MAD - DIX! MAD - DIX! MAD - DIX!" A minute and a half gone, the second may not pass if Sacred can force Landon down. But Maddix is unwilling to go and fights towards the ropes, Sacred digging in and keeping Maddix's out-stretched foot far away from the ropes. Only for the foot to suddenly snap backwards, connecting with Sacred's kneecap! Growling, Sacred tightens up the chickenwings...but Maddix starts to slam kick after kick into Sacred's knee desperately, looking for an escape which eventually comes as Sacred pushes Maddix off. Grabbing his knee, Sacred forgets about Maddix for a moment seemingly, as his opponent runs forward and hits the ropes. But as he comes back, Sacred is waiting, leaping into the air and connecting with Landon's jaw with a leg lariat. The dazed champion slumps to the mat, as Sacred ignores his throbbing knee to make a cover... ONE! TWO! Kickout. No sooner has Maddix kicked out though, than Sacred pulls Maddix's arm behind his head and applies an 'anaconda vice' submission hold. Luckily for Maddix, he's no close enough to the ropes to stretch a foot out for an escape. "BREAK IT SACRED... ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!" Sacred casually breaks the hold and gets back to his feet. Allowing Maddix up, Sacred lines up the World Champion and smashes him with another unforgiving forearm...sweet and simple. Predictably, Maddix fires up and comes back with a responce, but Sacred catches the arm and pulls Maddix down into an armbar. On his knees, arm trapped, Maddix uses his free arm to scan Sacred's body, looking for an escape...time continually ticking away. Eventually, Maddix decides to roll forwards to alieviate the pressure. Sacred comes up with Maddix though, pulling the arm into the body...and dropping back, divorce courting the arm! "Divorce court King." "A what?" "Divorce court. It doesn't just seperate the arm, it divorces it. It's...one of those new fangled, U.S strong style dealies." "Why can't they call it an single arm DDT?" As Maddix howls in pain and grabs at his arm, Sacred takes his time over getting back to his feet. Looking back at the clock, Sacred smiles. 4:46. Time enough to stomp Maddix in the shoulder as he gets up. Still Maddix is getting up though, as Sacred casually steps in... *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOOO!" ...and gets chopped! But Maddix makes the mistake of habitually using his right arm for the chop, ending up worse off than Sacred. As he shakes it off, Sacred grabs Maddix's arm and wrings it around into a hammerlock. Maddix hooks his free arm behind Sacred's head and pulls it towards his, gritting his teeth... *thunk!* ...as he headbutts Sacred! "Ugh." groans Pete. Both men's eyes cross slightly from the collision of heads, but Sacred shakes off the impact first and wrenches in the hammerlock again. This time though, Maddix fires back an elbow. His brains scrambled, Sacred wrenches again subconsciously...as a second elbow rocks him. And a third! Finally, Sacred releases after a fourth elbow... *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOOO!" ...and gets chopped, with the left hand this time. But Maddix cannot win with chops alone, as he well knows, so lands a boot to the gut of Sacred before spiking him hurriedly with a DDT! Sacred's head bounces off the mat, as he's quickly pushed onto his back for the pin... ONE! TW... Nope. "I know there's a short time-limit on this...but Maddix couldn't have thought a DDT would finish Sacred, surely?" King chuckles. Maddix is quickly back to his feet and with the proverbial sand-timer running slowly empty, Maddix goes for broke and climbs to the middle rope! The crowd know what's coming and quickly rise to their feet in anticipation, of a Crash Landon. But Sacred anticipates too and slams two fists into Maddix's breadbasket before being grabbed by the arm. Maddix almost topples to the floor, but is soon pulled back by Sacred, armdragged off the ropes and across the ring. Rolling through impact, Maddix shakes off his arm as Sacred comes in with forearm ready...only for a kick to the kneecap to stop him. Sacred drops to that knee from the kick's force, as Maddix backs up... ...but Sacred ducks the shining wizard! "OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!" Maddix stops short of the ropes and turns around, Sacred waiting with a go behind into a waistlock, trapping the champ's weak arm in the waistlock. Close to the ropes, Maddix lands a foot on the middle... "ONE! TWO! THREE! FO..." Sacred breaks, pushing Maddix into the ropes and clubbing him in the back. Again! But Hardcastle moves Sacred away, giving Landon respite briefly...until Sacred pushes Hardcastle aside and charges towards his opponent. But Maddix sees Sacred coming out of the corner of his eye, using the bottom rope to help him leapfrog back over Sacred...and land with a dragon sleeper locked on Sacred! "YEEEEEEAAAAAAA..." ...but that doesn't last long, as Sacred uses Maddix's weak arm to spin out, hammerlocking it behind Landon's back again and forcing him down to his knees once more. "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" "The fans sure don't like Sacred's tactics it seems..." points out Pete. "These people wouldn't know smart wrestling if it came to their mud-hut and slapped them around their inbread faces!" "Not bitter are we King?" Taking the easy (and importantly, quick) way out, Maddix grabs the ropes with his left hand to break. Sacred doesn't need a count this time, as he breaks instantly, pulling Maddix by his blonde locks into the centre of the ring and grabbing the arm again. Another arm wringer weakenes the arm. 3:53 left. Sacred doesn't go for the hammerlock this time though, instead lifting the champion up over his shoulder, hovering him over the turnbuckles. Maddix tries to wriggle free, but can't as Sacred turns around before teetering Maddix's head canvas-wards...and drops Maddix down with a methodical shoulder breaker! *AAAAAAAHHHHHH!* Screaming in pain, Maddix clutches his shoulder as Sacred lays his body weight over Maddix's good arm in making a cover... ONE! TWO! Kickout. "I don't know why Sacred went for a cover there King." Pete muses. "An armbar would have bought him at least another twenty seconds." "And going to the outside would have bought him even more. But, maybe Sacred has a stipulation in mind that, should he get the chance, he'd like to apply." Maddix pulls himself up on the ropes as an irish whip from Sacred sends him across the ring. As Sacred waits though, he leaves his legs open far enough for Maddix to baseball slide through, pulling Sacred over into a roll-up as best possible... ONE! MADDIX HAS THE TIGHTS! TWO! NO! As he gets up, Maddix shakes off the arm as Sacred begins to complain of the pull of the tights, but thinks better of it...as he turns around into a Dropsault! "Some crafty tactics shown by Landon there...desperate men do desperate things I guess." chuckles Pete. "Maddix is no man. He's a born cheater." "Which would be a good thing to someone like you, surely?" "Call the match Pete..." "Okay then. Maddix hitting a dropsault there but he can't follow up, as he broke his landing with his arms instinctively and landed on his bad arm." As Sacred pulls himself back up, Maddix is right behind him...literally as he kicks Sacred in the back of the knee. Maddix then reaches up and tries for another dragon sleeper from which to apply the Land Of Nod, but Sacred turns into Maddix's body and charges him into the corner. The wind drives out of Maddix's body as Sacred slams in a shoulder...and a second...a third too, before backing off. Sacred then slams in a forearm on Maddix's chest area which further takes away Landon's breath, allowing Sacred to wring Maddix's arm again. 3:24 to go. Hooking on an armbar, Sacred forces Maddix down to his knees once more...and holds. And holds. Before holding some more... ...until Maddix starts to fight to his feet. "THREE MINUTES LEFT IN THE MATCH...THREE MINUTES!" The announcement suddenly prompts Megan to scream renewed encouragement, as Maddix reaches his feet and tries to simply pull himself out of the armbar. But that isn't working, so again he goes for the back kick to the knee... ...which Sacred is prepared for, showing impressive speed and expected ring smarts for a 30 year old as he catches Maddix's leg before it can connect... *SMACK!* ...but Maddix connects with an enziguri to the delight of the crowd, sending Sacred rolling across the ring! Sacred is quickly up but a little wobbly as he turns around... *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOOO!" *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOOO!" *SLAP!* "WHOOOOOOO!" ...into three quick, left-handed chops from Maddix. Stopping to favour his shoulder again briefly, Maddix sees Sacred preparing to strike and goes to the knee once more, quickly hooking under Sacred and finding the strength to lift Sacred over his shoulder, before pointing hi towards the mat... ...but Sacred quickly tips the balance, lifting Maddix up instead... "Tombstone countered..." ...and dropping him down across the knee once more! "...into a shoulder breaker!" calls Pete. As Maddix hits the mat this time, Sacred suddenly has plans as he pulls Maddix up, smiling wryly as he sets Maddix up. The crowd boo away as Sacred, clearly enjoying hurting his opponent, lifts Maddix over his shoudler for the third time. And for the third time, he looks ready to shoulderbreaker his opponent. This time though, Maddix shuffles backwards off of Sacred's shoudlers with the dragon sleeper held on Sacred with his left arm, able to force Sacred onto his front quickly! "YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" The crowd erupt as Sacred is in the Land Of Nod! And as the fans and Megan cheer away, Maddix is wasting no time at all in wrenching back on the hold. Two minute thirty remains in the match, two minutes thirty which Sacred is determined to hold out on...but equally determined is Maddix, as he wrenches forward and back, forward and back, applying and re-applying the pressure. "YOU GOTTA TAP!" "YOU GOTTA TAP!" "YOU GOTTA TAP!" "Sacred's trapped King! He's gotta tap!" Looking at the clock, Sacred looks decidedly shocked. 2:22... ...2:21... ...2:20... ...2:19... Time is going slower and slower by the second seemingly for Sacred, as the pain is overcoming him... *TAP TAP TAP!* "YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" Until it's all too much. *DING DING DING!* "Your winner of the match...LANDON "LA CUCARACHA" MADDIX!" The crowd cheer once more as Maddix releases the hold, instantly attending to his shoudler once more as Megan rolls into the ring with the title belts. Sacred in his pained, slightly woozy state meanwhile knows he had to give up, but looks far from pleased as he holds his neck. Meanwhile, Maddix exits the ring with his belts and his pride in tow. "So, it's victory for Maddix tonight!" Pete cheers. "Beating Sacred once more and in impressive time. I tell ya, that Land Of Nod is deadly King." "..." "Riiiight. Let's go to a break, shall we?"
  5. I'll be honest. I hated the stip. The only plausible endings were the draw, or someone winning with four or five seconds left. And the latter seemed far too predictable to me. My original idea was to write a draw because to be honest, I couldn't think of a way of writing Landon to beat Sacred in under seven minutes. I actually spent a whole day trying to work out an ending that wouldn't make Sacred look weak. Couldn't really find one. So in the end I just said to hell with it, rushed through the match in an hourand a half (legit), tacked on a LON to end it and sent it in incase Muzz no-showed or sent in a rush-job. Which, thankfully he didn't.
  6. I suggest wacky tag match shenanigans! Uhm...call me in a week maybe. --^ *BIG HINT* ^--
  7. So, in two years time, will weone wrestling folder, one pop culture folder, one boards stuff folder, one archives folder and one hosted forums folder? Then, if wrestling become pop culture again, we can merge the pop culture and wrestling folders. And seeing as the board is a wrestling board, we merge the wrestling/pop super folder with the board stuff folder. And since archives are part of the board... Well, you get the point. And for the record, that super wrestling folder is going to be cluttered beyond belief.
  8. Will WWE finally realize that Orton is nothing more than a failure? Wait, they dropped by .4 or a .5 and lo and behold, the entire 'disappointing' number drop is proof that Randy Orton sucks? Don't get me wrong, you may be right. But you're not basing it on any fact except that 'Orton sucks and I don't like him'. Unless, you mean that it was his fault because he was the focal point in the main event. In which case, surely, JBL was responsible for the surprisingly good Armageddon buy-rate? I'm sure you'd disagree. And how exactly was HHH/Orton high-profile? High-profile would be at least a week's hype, like Benoit/Michaels or Trish/Lita. HHH/Orton as the main event was totally interchangable with Benoit/Batista and Y2J/Edge. All only made as a quick, easy way to hype the Chamber match. Like someone else here said, call me when it's a 2 or a 5.
  9. Rodez, Panther, Bryte and Zack will all be in Seattle. Meaning shit will likely go down.
  10. OAOAST X-Division Championship Fatal Fourway Match Leon Rodez © vs. Chris Bryte vs. Panther vs. Zack Malibu Also, if possible this should curtain jerk, because all four guys are Rumblin' later as well.
  11. Rudo brings up a point. Batista would work in the Goldberg/Austin mould. Have him become a tweener, because he can't trust Evolution or the anti-Evolution threesome (or foursome with HBK). Batista has the Spinebuster/Sitout Powerbomb to rival the Spear/Jackhammer, as both are getting the crowd reactions. He has better mic skills than Goldberg. All he needs is the renegade persona of an Austin, put him in some three/four on one situations where he fights valiantly but goes down. A few run-ins and demolishes to end shows. Maybe even a few Austin, chaotic acts. That way, you play to Batista's strengths and hide the weaknesses. Then when you put him in the ring, play the strengths hide the weaknesses. Just as Vince did with Austin after his injury and just as WCW did with Goldberg. Heck, just as Heyman did with a 911. If they do that, then Batista could be a big star. He has the look. Not just the 'he's big' look, but he looks a star in the suits. He's pretty marketable I'd bet. He intimidating enough to pull off the lonewolf role.
  12. Wow. READ THIS SHOW! Toxx, the end was dog-gone awesome. Much kudos for that. Also, obvious props go to the winners...two in particular, but all the winners. Even Sacred. One hell of a way to start the year guys.
  13. I'm sure there's an interesting reason for this. *probably knows too much* And if maybe Ace or Chuck can PM me about what's going on, incase I wanted to promo for the show without screwing anything up...that'd be neat. If not, I'll just ask Clark when replying to one of his daily PMs.
  14. I haven't seen any CHIKARA shows yet so can only go off of the TPI 6-Man...is 'Sweet and Sour' Larry Sweeney any good? Same for Hallowicked and Chandler McClure, who I haven't seen much of yet either.
  15. I guess the fans are finally wanting to see JBL lose, in the good way. I.e, they'd pay money to see it.
  16. Well, I was going to ask to write part initially. But I'll likely be writing my undercard match or at the very least part of it, plus Clusterfuck is on the 30th and I'll no doubt need a LOT of time for that. So if you need someone to do part then I'll be available, but only if you're desperate. And if the last two spots don't get filled...I know they're tag wrestlers, but it'd probably help me out to put the GPX in as they're kinda Rodez's allies at the moment. If not, then no problem.
  17. Got that right My new New Year's Resolution's going to be not to stay up late and rush a finish to my match when I don't feel well, but wait until the morning, because I'll likely still have time to send it.
  18. That was portrayed correctly, Rey outsmarted Eddie. Yes, and Batista used an exposed turnbuckle to his advantage, which you could class as out-smarting. You could also say it was Flair-esque influence. To use something to your advantage, no matter how immoral. It seems the problem wasn't so much the booking (Batista over Benoit), but the fact that either JR and King are dogging it, the people feeding them the info they need to talk about were too concerned (and rightfully so, seeing as this push could be a make or break one with Orton's push not going perfectly) about getting Batista's image right and forgetting about the match or, most likely, a combination of the two.
  19. Hints don't work if people don't read them. My fault and apologies if it's a little late sending you it now, but I only just read you needed it and...well, I'm not that thoughtful I guess.
  20. Rudo...pandering to the crowd? Makes it sound like you think Batista should have been making sure not to elicit crowd reactions. Even though he's clearly being groomed for a push. I agree with your point, but I didn't see the match so much as demoting Benoit as rather promoting Batista. I really don't think it hurt Benoit that much either. He lost to a man being booked as his equal. And not in a squash match either, in a competitive match where Batista impressed. The lasting impression wasn't neccessarily Benoit losing, but Batista's victory. As I've said many times before, if Benoit suffers from losing one match, then he must be in DIRE straights.
  21. Yep. If not a wrestler, then I want to be doing something wrestling related in the near future. Writer, Manager, Colour Commentator, Ring Announcer, Referee, hell being a cameraman would do. The idea of being a referee in a medium-ish sized indy company like IWA:MS or the FWA (the British fed) would be preferrable. That way you can interact with the wrestlers, maybe take the odd bump every now and then maybe do some wrestling training on the side at some point. Then, working the indies would be more than enough for me.
  22. Somebody got me Photoshop Elements or something for X-Mas. If I ever get the hang of it (slow, lazy learner) then I'll try and get some graphics going for the company. Like PPV banners, maybe shirt designs. If I get the hang of it.
  23. I would pay big money to see Joe/Benoit. If we're talking all-time, Rock vs. Sting in their primes and Brock vs. Vader at their peaks would be dream matches
  24. ELIMINATION CHAMBER, WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Triple H vs. Randy Orton vs. Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho vs. Edge vs. Batista -- I'll say Benoit, just to be different. Then Trips beats Benoit at the Rumble. After all, that'd be a more convincing way to get his job back. WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Shelton Benjamin © vs. Maven -- I've a horrible feeling it'll be Maven. WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP William Regal & Eugene © vs. Christian & Tyson Tomko --Regal/Eugene WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP Lita © vs. Trish Stratus -- Lita retains. Kane vs. Gene Snitsky -- Squash win for Kane. Jerry "The King" Lawler (w/Jim Ross) vs. Muhammed Hassan (w/Daivairi (can't remember the first name)) -- Hussan wins, but The All Americans get their heat back post-match. Got to protect those announcers. Unless the Chamber goes INSANELY long, they'll likely tag on another match too. Dean/Rosey maybe.
  25. Thanks...and that was the plan, but I was ill over New Year's.
