Oh, you're right in thinking that. I was just mentioning that they weren't televised because some of them - from what was copy / pasted - gave the impression they were.

I got this Bret Hart vs. Dynamite Kid match
cawthon777 replied to MikeJordan23's topic in General Wrestling
Davey Boy / Neidhart had a match on that same card and the match was also included on the Bulldogs CHV. -
IIRC, the WWF and WCW tag straps changed hands a total of 8 times over the course of 2 weeks. Owen & Yoko - Diesel & Shawn - Owen & Yoko - Gunns Buck & Slater - Heat - American Males - Heat
-
I think you may have misunderstood the way I wrote those on the site. None of those bouts ever aired on TV, though they did take place at TV tapings. They had more matches toward the end of 92 over Shawn's IC belt.

I got this Bret Hart vs. Dynamite Kid match

It is. WWF @ Landover, MD - Capital Center - September 14, 1985 The Dynamite Kid pinned Bret Hart by blocking a suplex into the ring and reversing it into a roll up; after the bout, Jim Neidhart helped in double teaming Dynamite until Davey Boy Smith made the save (The British Bulldogs) -
I think this is what you're referring to. WWF @ Bethleham, PA - Stabler Arena - February 22, 1994 (3,500; sell out) WWF Superstars taping: Lex Luger & Tatanka defeated WWF World Champion Yokozuna & Kwang when Kwang submitted to Luger's Torture Rack; Luger was announced as the WWF World Champion and came to the ring with the belt - after taking it from Jim Cornette earlier in the taping - which led many to believe Luger would win the title at the upcoming WrestleMania
-
Yeah, the Toronto CNE match is on the Hogan DVD. IIRC, it drew the largest wrestling gate in history ... at least until WrestleMania III and the North Korea shows.
-
Ahmed vs. HHH was actually the finals. Owen was the semis. Those Kuwaiti shows actually drew really well. Like 20,000 each night.
-
Unfortunately, that and a handful of other UK shows were never released on video in the States.
-
Thanks for the added info. I actually have a fan cam of a match the two had during the summer of 92. I think Shawn was subbing for Flair. Went about 18 minutes, IIRC.
-
I'm not even sure if that double "main event" could save the show. From what fan cams I've seen / show reports I've read, Taker vs. Mankind was mindless brawling for 2-10 minutes with Taker eventually hitting the chokeslam / tombstone then rolling Mankind in the casket for the win. HBK / Vader sometimes lasted less than 5 minutes. At the TV tapings, it would often be under 30 seconds with HBK getting the superkick for the pin.
-
In the summer of 1993, Radio WWF started up. I believe Jim Ross hosted and Johnny Polo may have been co-host or at least was a regular on the show. Not sure how many markets it was in but the thing only lasted 6-8 months, IIRC. I believe it was Ross & Monsoon at Summer Slam 93, Survivor Series, and the Rumble. I never heard the show myself but I got the impression it was a little less kayfabe than the TV programming.
-
Which is a little goof on their part because Jordan just qualified TONIGHT in Halifax (probably after Heat went off the air). To add to the humor ... Orlando beat Charlie Haas to get into the match. Haas has already qualified for the Rumble ... So I guess if Haas won, he would have had 2 entries?
-
Are there any more detailed reports out there? As in, something that mentions the finishes.
-
Woohoo! London gets on PPV. I guess we'll get to see him eliminated viciously.. wouldn't it be cool for London and Akio to start the Rumble? I know... no one but people who like good wrestling will care. That wasn't a qualifying match.
-
I don't think it's been posted here yet but Kane qualified last night in Grand Forks with a win over Snitsky.
-
You're not the only one.
-
I read that myself and the only problem is that Haas & Booker were in tag matches both nights against Reigns & Jindrak.
-
You're already 1 for 5. The first one died last year before WrestleMania.

What happened in the WWF the day you were born?
cawthon777 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
It was a taping. About 95% sure it was in Allentown, PA. -
Akeem was subbing for a recently released Bad News Brown.
