There's some dirt and even tracking issues at the top of the screen (briefly) in a few of the Perfect Strangers episodes on DVD, but it's not like I expected them to re-master the episodes or anything. Just happy they're releasing it.

Well, I do like Shooter McGavin, Leslie Neilsen, and the chick from Darcy's Wild Life whose real name I can't remember off hand is hot and all, but the parody genre is one of those things that have gone on to really annoy me. One of the reasons for this is the fact there seems to be at least two different groups (the Scary movie group and the Date / Epic / Spartan Movie set) putting these things out, and I don't even know who made Sports Movie (aka The Comebacks). Also, none of the movies I just mention appear to be at all funny.

I haven't watched it but I recall seeing an 80s era Coliseum Video with the "5,000 years" intro and I really liked the music. I later learned via youtube it was not the correct music, but since that was the first time I had ever heard it, I liked it.

I think I listened to the Samus victory song... well, I don't know, multiple times in a row (as it's just 6 seconds) but damn, all of those iconic song segments sound so great with the orchestra.

In regards to the scheduling confusion I was having with "Savage / Liz" being listed in week 2 and week 3, turns out this week's update is a Coliseum Video called "Savage and Liz".

I was a big fan of Mountain Dew Grape aka Pitch Black. They released it in Canada around Halloween 2005 (though it had been available as a Darth Vader themed Slurpee the previous May) and I guess at that same time, there was a Pitch Black II in the states that was awful (too sour).

I'm in the same boat as you, I don't want to know where the monster came from. It's kinda like Saw 3, I really liked Saw 1 but I don't like it as much now since Saw 3 explained everything that happened. It ruined the ambiguity. I feel the exact same way about The Matrix.

Keep in mind some of them are 3 second "New Feature!" tracks... but yeah, pretty impressive regardless. I like the 6-8 second victory tracks (Sonic's is the stage complete music).

I recall the first Smackdown I ever saw ( it may have been the first Smackdown ) Michaels was the special ref in a HHH vs Rock match? I think? My memory is clouded by the many drugs i've done over the years , ( clean and sober now ) but if it serves me correctly, Michaels superkicked Rocky and HHH won the match. I remember seeing something about Michaels trying to get Brett Hart to squash Rock when he was an rising star or something like that? I assume that's the reason why he wouldn't want to work with him? Yeah. Bret even talks about it in his book. At the beginning of Bret's heel run, Bret and Rocky were working together on a house show. HHH and HBK tried to convince Bret that Rocky was a talentless punk that was only getting pushed because of his father and grandfather. They told Bret to sandbag him, squash him, and all-around just make him look bad. In defiance, Hart gave Rocky a competitive 15-20 minute match and let Rocky have a lot of the offense. Rock got wind of the story, most likely from Bret, and has carried it with him. This is why Rock says he'll never work a match with Michaels. Was it a house show or the match on Raw where Hart got DQd for putting Rocky in the ring post figure four? I thought it was the TV one.

Remixed "Water Theme" from Mario Brothers (which starts with the original, and is now in some Western version at the part of the song I'm at right now) is so many different kinds of awesome. Oh snap, it reverted to the original again (edit: oh, it's just looped)! Thanks for the heads up about the OST being out there. Oh wow, the Super Mario Land castle music! Might be a bit early to judge, but so far "NES Medley" is my favourite song. It samples Urban Champion!

Generally yes, but often times they spend so much money on advertisements / celebrity deals that they NEED 800,000 buys just to break even. WrestleMania XIX may have had more buys than any other WWE show that year, but it was still a failure in the big picture. Also, kudos to the "thermometer" joke.
