There hasn't been a major innovation in music

Death-Reggae. It's a fucking GOLDMINE. -
As a songwriter, I think Tim was much more complete than Jeff. Jeff did alot of covers in his brief career, which hurts him. Of course, he only had one full album and half of a second one done when he died, so I can't really fault him. As a vocalist, Jeff, I think is king. Tim was incredible as well, with great vibrato, pitch changes and the like, but Jeff's falsetto is untouchable, and I think he had a bit more soul than his old man. I saw both Lorca and Honeyman at the San Francisco TOWER, but I only had so much money, and I couldn't NOT purchase Zappa and Bird. I'm probably going to have to order the rest of Tim's catalogue online due to there only being Circuit City and sam Goody in my area, neither of which has a great selection.

That can't really be a serious post. If it were, my head would have no doubt exploded by now. -
Best. Worst. Tour name. EVER.

It's so weird to see Punk's name on the list of WWE employees.

This opens the door for Danny Davis' comeback.

I'm throwing in Type O Negative. Bloody Kisses was a fantastic album, but October Rust was an overall letdown. Or as AoO once put it: "It's only good when you're fucking a goth girl" or something along those lines. World Coming Down was back on par with Bloody kisses, with extended numbers that actually seemed to go places rather than meander around for seemingly no reason. Then, there was the all-out awesomeness that was Life is Killing Me. There isn't a bad track on the album. Nothing is really skippable, save for possibly "I Like Goils." Steele's lyrics are clever as always, and the music is some of the heaviest the band, or well, Pete has written in a long time.

Snuff, you'll love Pearl Jam. They're probably the tightest band I've ever seen live. They make no mistakes, they flow tremendously from song-to-song, and if he really wanted to, Ed could just stand there all night, because he's really not needed. Everyone in the audience knows and loudly sings every lyric in perfect time with the band. By the way, who's opening for them?

That pretty much sums up my opinion about the Foo's. Especially the last sentence.

Band who reached their potential too early

Am I the only person here that thought By the Way was a really good album both musically and vocally, with the exception of Keidas on "The Televison Song?" -
I remember that thread. You entertained me for several days. And back to how quickness OBVIOUSLY makes music worse, Led Zeppelin's debut was done in less than two days, same for Black Sabbath's debut.

I quite love the BLAST OFF! IT'S PARTY TIME!/ AND WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!?! bit. I think that the album is amazing musically. The drums are solid and Daron plays some beautiful melodies.

I still think "The World Has turned and Left Me Here" is the best song Weezer has ever done.

ROCK FEARS PAPER from a RAW in '98 or '99 when I first saw it is still and will forever be the greatest sign of all-time. I also love when people hold up signs for Rick Flair.

Where do The Roots fit into his argument about Rap not being music/ and only being synthesized beats that take only EIGHT MINUTES?

Well, you might be able to say that for The Uplift Mofo Party Plan and maybe Freaky Styely, but other than those, I'd disagree with whoever said that. Blood Sugar Sex Magik is a fucking great album. It was when it was released, and it still is today. -
I guess since Jeff Buckley died after only one full album and a few tracks recorded for a follow-up, he counts.

I remember watching him a few years back and being pretty impressed. Now, I hear nothing about him. Is he still wrestling or what? Anyone with info will receive a shiney new donkey.

So I picked up a copy of Teagan and Sara's So Jealous on Tuesday. I really enjoy the hell out of it. It's a fun, good poppy album.
