Not on air, but I remember WWE.com doing an article back in 02 where he pretty much said that he was done. He basically said he lost passion for wrestling, as when he and Spike won the tag belts in MSG he didn't have butterflies in his stomach.

I remember reading that as well. But retirements in wrestling last for two to three years tops. Whenever a wrestler says he's "retiring", I never believe it.
