I believe they were offered shoot fights, but I might be wrong. In that case, I can definitely understand. Angle shouldn't try doing anything strong style and Lesnar's neck isn't exactly stable either after the Shooting Star Press from Mania. Dames NOAH wanted Angle & Lesnar on their Dome show. PRIDE wanted them to do shootfights. Either way, they were going to get paid big money. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.
