  1. Perhaps it was Orton flying shirtless into a pile of thumbtacks... .....or getting thrown off the stage through a table..... .....or doing a great blade-job..... .....or getting his ass kicked throughout the match..... .....all while selling some actual FEAR of Mick Foley and the punishment he could have planned for him..... ...... .....but then again, that could have all been an illusion. And you could just disregard the hard work and physical sacrifices Orton made in the biggest match of his career thus far.
  2. Goddamn, what the hell am I watching? Also consider that ALL of these angles have taken place in some way, shape, or form in the past 2 years. But then again, it's good for any 12-year-old's mental growth to see an authority figure chokeslammed off a 20-foot platform, just to watch the blood ooze out of the back of his head.
  3. Sure. But then again, why bother even reading through this thread? Necrophilia, lesbian action, attempted murders, vehicular assault, sending a man to crash into his death in a moving car, lighting men on fire, kicking guys into a dumpster of flames, chokeslamming guys off 20-foot platforms to watch them bleed, testicle electrocution, male-on-female violence, rape threats, constant sexual references, hardcore weaponry involving thumbtacks and barbed wire, bondage fetishes, women popping out of tops, "swinging" and exchanging sexual partners, guys making females their "slaves", bashing homosexuality yet having a flagrantly homosexual wrestler, showing a wrestler targeting out a specific ethnic group - which we know is ALWAYS good for kids...... .....but then again, wrestling is GOOD for 12-year-olds. Face it, a few months ago, Linda McMahon was giving her half-assed "We don't promote towards children" speech. But now that this idea can once again benefit them, they're ready to hop on the bandwagon and immediately abandon the garbage they said a few months ago. I'm not for censoring any of this, and I'm sure that some 12-year-olds can handle this kind of mature material, but don't act as if it's perfectly normal for ANY child not yet in their teens to see this. That's just ridiculous. These angles may not be the ENTIRE show, but many of them have actually been the main focus of the shows they appeared on.
  4. I suppose Matt Hardy slamming a steel cage door into a woman's head was to teach children that those bars don't taste like chocolate.
  5. Well Frigid, he got you to shut up.
  6. What I liked about that segment was that it was realistic. We all know slamming a steel cage door into a woman's head is just another way to say "I Love You".
  7. I can't stand Todd Grisham. Whenever I see him, it feels like I'm watching an equally retarded WWE version of an MTV show.
  8. It's tough to accept this new, nasty, ANGRY, VICIOUS Edge when he has a pink cast on his wrist.
  9. Come on Edge! DO IT!!! DO IT!!! I DON'T CARE HOW MEAN IT WOULD BE!! DO IT!!!! CALL RANDY ORTON A DORK!!!!
  10. Orton: I'm a tough son of a bitch. I fell on a bunch of thumbtacks. *Kurt Angle appears on the Titantron, standing on a high platform* Kurt: That's nothing. I fell off this platform last week and fractured my skull. But I'm back and jumping around and....AIEEEEEEEEE~!~! SPLAT!! --Kurt Angle falling off platforms really SHOULD be a weekly thing--
  11. You know what would save this segment? Benoit: I worked my entire life to get this point. To reach the top of the mountain and become the World Heavyweight Champion. I can't tell you how much this means to me. I.... *And here comes EUGENE!!!!!!* .....you know that would increase ratings.....
  12. So, for those of us that didn't get a chance to watch the Simpsons last night, does anyone mind recapping the episode? Mainly the conclusion of the Skinner/Edna wedding and this whole Homer/Marge storyline. It's a little tough to decipher the clues in everyone's posts.....
  13. Shelton/Flair match: *1/2 Tajiri/Coach: *3/4 Jericho/Christian & Trish: **1/2 Victoria/Lita: 1/2* Foley/Orton: **** La Resistance/Hurricane & Rosey: 1/4* Edge/Kane: * Benoit/HBK/HHH: *** It really was a two-match show between Foley/Orton and Benoit/HBK/HHH. The Handicap match was decent as well, and Tajiri/Coach was better than everybody probably thought it would be. But the rest of the card was just terrible.
  14. Hopefully I don't run into another SK WMXX incident here, but he is nuts. The Foley/Orton match was in the **** range. ****1/2 seems a little high, but I wouldn't COMPLETELY disagree with it. But ****3/4 for the Triple Threat? No way! It didn't come CLOSE to the match at Mania and didn't seem to click as well at all. It was a suitable Main Event, but won't even be considered in December as a Match-of-the-Year candidate. The Mania match will.....the Foley/Orton match MIGHT....I doubt Benoit/HBK/HHH at Backlash will be thought of much. The ****3/4 rating is crazy.
  16. Didn't come close to touching the WrestleMania Triple Threat Match, and it was a little silly to try. They could have put HHH/Benoit or HBK/Benoit as the Main Event, and put the odd man out in a different high-profile match. Instead, they put out a match that unfortunately would have been impossible to be better than the previous match. It was a solid Main Event, don't get me wrong. I would probably give it around ***. But, then again, it wasn't even the Match of the Night.
  17. But he spearededed the bad guys and called them gay! I think the problem was that he didn't call Kane a dork. THAT'S how you build a money feud.
  18. Looks like you're spending tonight on the couch. ..... .....Canadians do use couches, right? I don't know about that crazy country sometimes.....
  19. No one has seemed to care about Edge since his return. I would say they might be trouble that nobody is really supporting the guy who's going to be pushed as the #1 face on Raw but, then again.... Bradshaw is Main-Eventing the next Smackdown PPV. Not like crowd support means anything....
  20. It looked like they set the seeds for a Triple H/Randy Orton feud down the road. Triple H telling Orton he's now a legend is going to inflate his ego so much that he wants to take down a fellow legend. That being HHH. But from here....Shelton Benjamin. To defend the honor of Evolution.
  21. Randy Orton did an amazing job in that match. Between the thumbtacks, the fall through the table, and just his facial gestures and actions throughout the course of the match, he really did do a great job. He showed he could take some gruesome bumps when he needs to, he could sell his opponent properly, and most importantly, he could have an above-average match. **** for one of the best hardcore matches I've ever seen in WWE.
  22. Don't forget she doesn't know how to ROLL OVER A FEW INCHES to get out of the way of a moonsault. Just doing my part to help.
  23. Doesn't anybody have an issue with Victoria wrestling a dog tonight? Where all the animal-activists now? People shouldn't be fighting with animals in the.... Wait.....it's a she?!
  24. The "Eugene screaming at Molly's haircut" and "Regal checking out Gail's breasts" segments were cute. The character still sucks.
  25. Are we still talking about this? Fine, next month we'll be seeing Eddie Guerrero face a man that some consider to be even LESS worthy of a title shot than Hardcore Holly. A man who's hazing tendencies have worried many wrestlers. A man who has the reputation of being an asshole backstage. Yes, Eddie Guerrero will be facing Bradshaw at Judgment Day, with a feud that will be lasting, at that point, around two months. Let's see if Eddie Guerrero sobs a few weeks later and quits over this INJUSTICE that is merely an aspect that any Heavyweight Champion has to face. And if not, I'm sure Eddie would be crushed over the idea of feuding with the #1 face on Smackdown, one of the most widely known superstars in the wrestling world, and being asked to sell a little. Because, if it was a sentence to HELL for Brock to fight Taker, I'm sure Eddie will be just as distraught. Then again.....Brock could just be a bitch.
