  1. On one of the ESPN shows today I heard them saying something about rumors of Amare Stoudemire to Cleveland. This was the first I have heard of this and hadn't seen any previous rumors. While that trade would be ace for the Cavs, what do they even have that Suns could even want? I know they mentioned they want: Young Players, expiring contracts and draft picks combination (with New Jersey's offer as an example), but I can't see anything worthwhile for the Suns in Cleveland that the Cavs would be willing to part with. I haven't seen any deal so far that has been particularly enticing for the Suns (IMO, the Miami deal is probably best, albeit not amazing), although one of the rumors I read most recently said the best deal available is one from a team that has yet to even been publicly recognized as having their name in the sweepstakes.
  2. All the time you hear people saying how no matter what they couldn't put down Halo or Call of Duty or the current Madden or any lot of the general popular games, but what games were you surprisingly addicted to? I know in old "Surprisingly Good" game threads, I always used to show my love for the Haunted Mansion game that was on PS2/Gamecube/Xbox. While I collect games and love to play them (albeit, I'm not too talented), I tend to have more games than I play. Often times, I will pick up a game, get going and never go back, or just play the current wrestling or sports game to death. The Haunted Mansion I think was the first game I just wanted to continue. I don't know if I would like it going back now, but for some reason I was hooked on that game when it came out. Another game I remember I was surprisingly addicted to back in that generation was Bond: Everything or Nothing. The Bond game that highlighted it had its own original story and cast the likenesses and voice talents of actors ranging from Willem Dafoe to Shannon Elizabeth. While this game got fairly solid reviews, I don't recall it ever being extremely popular and only knew a handful of people that played it (a few on my recommendation). I can't think of any shockers in the current generation of games and played too much weird stuff in the Super Nintendo days to even write about those ones. I'm just curious to see what games others got addicted to that they weren't expected, and maybe that will open the flood gates for some of us to get hooked on games we may not have tried otherwise.
  3. I hope when the DLC content comes for the 360 everything is still included at this point. I know the Divas Santa costumes were PS3 exclusive (and would be bizarre at this point anyway), but I want to make sure we still get Super Crazy and the original rip of Priceless, seeing as now the bizarre WWE The Music Vol. 9 remix has hit TV now too.
  4. While I'm not surprised HHH is making the game, if this goes up to only WM 15, that means we are most likely to get Blue Blood HHH, right? He was a Blue Blood for 12 and 13 and skinnier, long tights for 14/15. So if he shows up in current form, that will definately be a waste of roster spot (with the Smackdown importing) and go against the "only up to WM XV" we keep hearing now.
  5. I just got done watching ECW... and I am not sure quite to think. It was a really good show. I don't know what to think stems from a few things. Christian coming to ECW solidifies that a larger majority of my favorites are on ECW. My favorite wrestler is Christian, so now on ECW I get Christian, it's the home brand of Miz/Morrison and Evan Bourne (even though these guys get to show up on whichever shows they want) and Striker is my favorite announcer. I guess, like others are saying, it is a toss up of this re-debut just feeling... underwhelming. It was one of those things, when Christian left TNA, there really was no where for him to go there but down. He had reached the top of the mountain and probably was going to get lost in the shuffle in whichever stable he was put with in their current major storyline. While I agree there was no place for him to go immediately on RAW or Smackdown and as excited as I was to see him tonight, it just didn't sit right with me. Maybe its because I'm partial but randomly showing up on the ECW before a PPV doesn't seem like the return of someone they are serious about pushing. I mean, with this being his big return, there was no reason he couldn't have been a surprise entrant in the Rumble and then, when Matt Hardy jumped to Smackdown, it was okay because Teddy Long got a major free agent acquisition and voila, throw Christian directly into the role he went tonight. Makes his debut a little bigger, gives ECW a rub and a little more publicity and explains why Teddy just let Matt walk, as opposed to Christian's been on the sidelines for years and decided to come for the (at best) 3rd belt in the company. I'm going to give the WWE benefit of the doubt because they have been attempting to keep fresher these days than the dark periods of a few years ago, but I get a little down personally when it is my favorite involved.
  6. Although unfortunate, it wouldn't be a first. Eddie Murphy was the favorite a few years back to win the Best Supporting Actor award for Dreamgirls and was winning the awards leading up to it, including the Globe. It got time for the Oscars and rumor was the Academy was worried the upcoming Norbit was going to be advertised as starring an Academy Award winner and boom, Alan Arkin, who wasn't even nominated at the Globes wins for Little Miss Sunshine.
  7. I definitly won't mind Sting vs. Angle in an empty arena. Something new that neither guy has done before. What brings me utter horror, however, is the idea of listening to Tenay and West commentate that thing without the crowd noise to drown them out a bit. THIS IS AN EMPTY ARENA MATCH!!! THAT MEANS NO ONE IS IN THE ARENA, DW!!!!
  8. Unless he is already done, I guess it would be safe to assume Rock and Rave fight Beer Money next and Hoyt eats the pin, but then what? I mean, Beer Money should be featured, but are they really releasing someone through an angle every week now? How long does this last?
  9. I saw this on another site. Seems strange to see these two guys go because these are some of the "TNA Originals", at least in my eyes. Even though Hoyt hasn't been used much lately, he's pretty much been in TNA forever. I'm really sad to see Petey go. I doubt we will see him in WWE, one because of style and size and as much as I like him, the only way he'd be able to get over in the E is with the Canadian Destroyer, and that isn't be allowed.
  10. sweet, thanks for the pic dubq! I thought my pre-order on the game was well justified before, but the "Safari Fun Blanka" shot makes this a no brainer!
  11. I've been watching some of the Obama coverage on CNN and they keep playing the La Resistance theme in the background.
  12. Action & Adventure: Predator Comedy: Forgetting Sarah Marshall Crime & Gangster: Eastern Promises Drama: History of Violence Epics & Historical: Titanic Horror: Friday the 13th (original) Sci-Fi: Close Encounters War & Westerns: Good, Bad, and the Ugly
  13. so how bad does Minnesota get with Al Jefferson going out indefinitely?
  14. And of course (depending on if Fatal Four Ways are in the game) there's my idea about match: Andre vs. Studd vs. Big Show vs. Khali. Special Guest Referee: Big Daddy V Wearing a striped sandwich board insted of a striped shirt. with ripped music on your 360, you can change his entrance theme to that of Fat Albert and the Junkyard Gang!
  15. were my eyes deceiving me or was Blanka wearing full on safari gear in his alternate costume?
  16. And of course (depending on if Fatal Four Ways are in the game) there's my idea about match: Andre vs. Studd vs. Big Show vs. Khali. Special Guest Referee: Big Daddy V
  17. No worries. I was just curious as I only recently started getting Points cards, so I didn't know if it was a sale or a deal. It was probably just a misunderstanding on my end.
  18. see, now we are talking... Dusty, Million Dollar Man and Cowboy Bob vs. Cody, Ted Jr. and Randy with the Smackdown connectivity!
  19. For me, while some Legends are more important than others, anybody that is old school will be fun to me. I also always have a soft spot for "never before featured" people and will more likely use the guys like Hacksaw than Hogan myself. As for the Big John Studd argument, he was in one of the biggest matches of Wrestlemania I, and while that is probably a weak argument on my end, I think that alone warrants a spot. And anyone who doesn't like that, yes, I would love for Mr. T to be in the game as well.
  20. Although I've had my X-box for a while, I'm fairly new with Live and Marketplace and such. I'm just curious, do they go around bumping things up often? I had some friends tell me to get Castle Crashers and I haven't been on my X-box in a while, so I finally signed on yesterday and while I swear they told me it was only 400 points, whatever version of Castle Crashers I found was 1200 points.
  21. I thought with the Chris Brown incident this weekend and him missing the Grammys because of it, maybe the Jericho stuff would fade away, but I was on Yahoo earlier and although Brown was the pictured story, in the main news headlines, there was a video link to "WWE wrestler in parking lot scuffle with angry mob". It's already gone now and did just have the link to the Kelly's Court segment that was linked earlier in this thread, where although talking about Haystacks Colhoun, does seem like for the most part Jericho gets a fair break.
  22. The Hulk Vs. he is referring to isn't out yet. There is a Hulk Vs Wolverine and a Hulk Vs Thor and I know at least the Blu-Ray has both on the same disc, I don't know if the standard DVD has them seperate like was originally said. There were teasers for both on the Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, so I don't know if they are floating around anywhere else.
  23. I don't think it really got to the point where everyone was changing their name and being assigned different names until around 2005. The first ones I really remember sticking out is when all three Dudleys were released and because the WWE owned all the trademarks now, they couldn't use the names they built in another promotion. Spike Dudley wrote some angry blogs about it.
  24. Although I am not really huge on Manu, I would mark out if he still goes after Randy and Legacy and at some point Orton gives him the concussion kick only to see him shake it off like any good Samoan would.
  25. I read on another forum the week of the 27th they are adding a couple Bruce Springsteen songs for free for a week to promote his new album. After that, they are for sale, so go on Marketplace the week of the 27th to get some free songs from the Boss!
