  1. You people crack me the hell up.
  2. A softball??? I haven't been all that inaccurate with my movesets, some just been wrong time periods here and there. But Taz no that is doable. Will be up by tonight as well as Raven and Amazing Red That's why I said its a softball... I think they have a premade moveset for him already but honestly, I think a better one could be made.
  3. Its easy to see why this DVD is doing so well.... its pretty well put together, and with the exception of Bischoff, everyone interviewed is telling it like it is. I rented it from netflix, and its the best dvd I have rented to date from them.
  4. I'll toss you a softball, Trivia. Taz. One Z, ECW circa 1996 after his "transformation" from the Tazmaniac to Shoot Fighter.
  5. I'm glad I kept 2k4 for that reason, although I am willing to put up with the bad scouting in the offseason.
  6. Ah yes, Kurt Thomas' one and only foray into the martial arts action arena.... god what a horrible movie... I have another one and this is actually a Hong Kong flick that I have been trying to get for years.... its basically its the story of a martial artist who is part of a gang that pillages, and during a raid he gets knocked out in the fight. He wanders to an estate, where he is nursed back to health and has a change of heart, and along with another martial artist, he ends up destroying the gang. The one giveaway factor is that the gang members all wore gold medallions with black eagles on them. Can anyone help with that?
  7. not a bad moveset for him, though I think I can modify that a bit as well... when I get home from work tomorrow I'll post my Rady Savage moveset, and when I can find my Steamboat matches, I'll work on that too.
  8. you should put the neckbreaker drop in as a running grapple.... sort of a nod to his early days in the WWF.... I have a moveset for him that is part his WWF days, and part from the WWF Superstars moveset. and I want Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat.
  9. The Bulls are a good team because they;re up and coming, young, and full of fresh legs... with the right training, that team could be a serious contender in a season or two. The Suns are also good, because if that team is puitting up Sega numbers in the real life game, then they must absolutely sick in the game.
  10. so am I, but I am trying to get rid of the headaches that go along with the cap. And I would do that, Cena, but the trade deadline has come and gone. I might be screwed.
  11. Six words. Michael Jordan in the Windy City.
  12. When you're starting a season you *do* have the option of turning off the salary cap.... which would allow you to field a dream team (now there is a decent idea, put the dream team 1992 in as a full team and have them compete in an NBA season, but sheesh, putting in accurate stats?) of who you would want and not worry about the cap. I am looking at losing my CAP center which sucks because he is about 40% of my offense... I really want to just waive Steve Francis, but that will count against the cap... ::sighs::
  13. I would recommend you make a webpage, though you'll get tons of hits, especially if you updated movesets for each generation of games.
  14. How about posting actual settings? I am blowing teams out by a good 50 points at least.... I played the All Star game and my CAP 2 still ended up being player of the game, even though my CAP 5 had a statistically better game, and I was rotating all the roster in and out. The Twin Towers 2k5 (Shaq and my CAP Center) were destroying people in the post and on the boards. Thanks for the advice on the player personalities. One thing I love as well is actually improving your players. I was able to trade most of the roster because I was able to consistently improve their stats. I forgot to save one time when I traded for Doug Christie two weeks before the actual trade went down. I am thinking of starting over because my team is so horribly over the salary cap, and because of that, I cannot train aside from the shooting drills. Even with just doing that, I am training everyone to be decent at the mid-range J, because that opens things up for my CAPs, who get the lions share of the points, though Hedo Turkoglu is fast becoming the second coming of Larry Bird.
  15. The Eliminators. Saturn is easy I know, but Kronus should be a little bit more difficult.

    HCTP or SVR

Yes it will, because if you want your wrestlers to have accurate stats in, you'll have to build them up ONE BY ONE in Career mode, dealing with the crappy AI and the CPU's tendency to get lucky and squash you in three moves (one of them can just be a back elbow counter). Otherwise, you'll have to buy a Gameshark to fix those stats. If you're making a number of real wrestlers for your game, you don't want to have to build up the stats one by one, nor do you want to have them all 98ers, which is really lame. Of course, if you make those wrestlers with the *correct* stats, they'd be vastly underpowered compared to much of the game's roster. The stats assigned to main eventers in HCTP/SvR are laughable. The attributes are a total mess--WWF Raw for the 16-bit systems had more accurate stats. Plus, you could adjust those... And no, you wn't be making a good-looking Lyger in SD vs. Raw, but the CAW isn't as awful as you guys make it out to be. Throw that in with a Online mode that features stuff like street fights and tag team matches, and that'll be a buy from me... Unless they make a *new* ill-conceived stat system that I hate. Not true. I forget who came up with it, I think it was Downhome, but the way you overcome that is to fill your roster with jobbers who have 1s in every category except Endurance, whice you give him a 2. Replace the entire roster with nothing but jobbers. Your CAW automatically has an advantage over them, and you beat the crap out of them repeatedly, including attacking them after the match, which will set you up with a probable hardcore match the next week. It takes maybe a season and a half as long as you don't run afoul of the current champions, who will of course flatten you unless you are lucky enough to get a hardcore match with them. Then you climb to the top of the cage, run at them and irish whip them off the cage. Repeat until they are beaten, then pin them, and you will get twice the amount of experience for them. If you're in a two on one match against, good luck, but use the same strategy until the jobber is beaten, then pin him. Its not easy with a limited character, but its doable. A season and a half of matches is not forever. And lets face it, Andrew: The AI has sucked for the last few games, no matter the platform. Its more noticeable in SvD, but I'm not looking for lifelike matches (which follow a set formula, mind you), but I am looking to enjoy myself playing these games, and HCTP has more of that "fun factor" than SvD does. But as I said after we had all played it, WWE and whomever is going to make the next one are not looking to satisfy us smarks and wrestling purists, they are looking to satisfy 9-16 year olds who are the major demographic, so they can get away with putting in and taking out things that us, video game veterans, smarks and purists will notice. Thats the way it is, like it or not.
  17. If you want more of a challenge, go with the Bulls. I had a season on 2K4 with the Twolves, and after putting in my two obligatory CAPs, it was absurdly easy. KG is just a sick, sick player. I looked over my roaster, and Stevie is locked in for five freaking years.... My CAP center is signed for just one, and my namesake CAP is in for four... this coming off season is going to be a MESS. And I need a few hints on building team chemistry with players at the beginning of each week, as in giving advice and when you give the right answers your team chemistry goes up by a little or a lot..... and it shows on the court... on one play my CAP SG had the ball at the top of the key and without calling for it, my CAP center came up and set a pick which allowed me to go in for a swooping dunk. I had to rewind it a couple of times.
  18. After playing one game of Live 2005 on the Xbox and not liking it at all, I decided to plunge back in ESPN NBA 2K5 I've gone full-bore into season mode, and just before the trading deadline. I'm running my Orlando Magic, and my roster is radically changed. I have my two CAPs at the 2 and the 5, and I am looking to deal Steve Francis, or just not re-sign him at years end. Running a team is a bit more involved, which is a good aspect of the game though sometimes I wish I did not have to deal with the damn salary cap. Also, I need any tips about good training management. Of course with two CAPs and Stevie, we're over the cap and I cannot hire trainers. I am considering restarting the season, but I'm also over the trading deadline and close to the All-Star break, so I will just soldier through. I remember seeing in another thread that someone was having trouble blocking and defending shots. You have to "turbo jump", and your timing has to be good, even anticipatory sometimes to get blocks. Just stay with it, and you'll learn how to do so.
  19. I liekd it, but I have to agree, the aspect of cheating was overplayed. Poker is a dynamic enough game with more than enough personalities to make a great TV series. I thought that it was going to be like OSI said, Michael Madsen playing a thug-like poker player and the three main characters all having a stake in wanting to take him out. It seems that the latter is the case, but as was said before, the cheating aspect was unnecsessary.

    HCTP or SVR

After I beat SvR twice, I just couldn't muster the gumption to go through it again to beef up my Low-Ki CAW. I went back to HCTP, and I haven't looked back.
  21. *cuts and pastes and saves* Thanks much!
  22. I had it for a month or so, and I hated it.... Not that SvR was much better, but at least I could make a namesake CAW that looked like me, and I had a better time playing it, even though I have gone back to HCTP, because it has a better CAW engine.
  23. lets do movesets for Tully, Arn, Lex, and Barry Windham. Ugh, then I get to put them all through story mode.... yeesh
  24. Adn just for laughs, Tiger Mask circa 1981... I am thinking about doing the Horsemen, just for laughs.
  25. The fearless leader returns once again! How have you been doing, Dames? I'm glad to hear feedback on this, because I was thinking about buying one. To play Bosconian correctly you *have* to have an eight-way joystick, especially in the harder levels. I'm happy with my MAME and my Namco Museum, and rolling over to Pinball Pete's and playing the actual arcade console if I need to, but the high score is usually up around 600,000. I guess thats what happens when the arcade is smack-dab in the middle of Collegetown, USA.
