I was waiting for someone to bring Lance Storm's anti-"Kill Bill" rant into this. Keep in mind, he wrote the review before he'd actually seen the entire movie. That, and the fact that he's erroneously comparing a sword fight scene in a movie to a wrestling match, which is just a dumb thing to do. If Lance Storm posted on his blog that the earth was flat, I guarantee there'd be some smark who'd go along with it just because Lance Storm said it. Please pull your head out of wrestling for ten seconds and listen to how ridicules you sound.

This has not been a good year for the Republicans.

I'm sure there is somebody out there who came pretty damn close. -
Who the hell is Ed Brubaker?

Corrected. Can I get an "Oh SNAPZ~!"?

Shelton's a heel now. He is?

When was the last time someone threatened you over the Internet...

I loves me the internets. -
Those movies are products of the times they were made in. I've never been a fan of "History of the World Part 1", but I can appreciate "Blazing Saddles" based on how innovative it was for 1974. (I like to think that the comedy comes from making fun of stereotypes.) I actually saw "Airplane" when it was originally released (this is back when you could put tits in a PG movie, apparently) so I totally get why people find it funny. It basically was THE funniest movie I'd ever seen for most of my childhood, and watching it now still gives me quite a few chuckles.

I think Smackdown was really good that year. This was, of course, before it got turned into the B-show.

You could make case for it possibly being the best TV match in WWE history, but calling it the best TV match in the history of wrestling is beyond stretching it. I just realized I own the DVD this match was available... **watches entire match** I disagree with the exact percentages of who contributed the most, but it was a pretty damn good showing by Edge. Damn, 2002 was a good year for Smackdown.

They voted for Truman because of the corrupt Democrat political machine, something I'm sure Big Media at the time took an interest in. And Truman made some rather vicious partisan attacks during his political stops. Well, it's nice to know the Democrat Party may have different ideals now than it did 50 years ago, but they still campaign the same. "Have we met?"

Sounds like your judging the movie by the experience you had watching it, rather than the film itself. Blair Witch Project was very good for what it was: a low budget movie that relied entirely on merely implying creepiness instead of actually showing it. I'd argue that the amusement park inspired-exhibition of the film worked entirely against the film's true genre, the mock documentary. Plus, you gotta give them credit for tricking a bunch of gullible bastards into thinking that it was a legitimate documentary. Here's what Roger Ebert said about it:

What was the highest placement the original Underworld ever had? Did it even break the top 5? I'm guessing a lot of people saw Underworld on video and had a positive enough reaction to it to want to see a sequel. (I would put myself in that group.)

The problem is that it doesn't make sense in any figurative way, either. Nothing has happened that would even REMOTELY justify Jarrett taking this position. There's no way to rationalize it. Its just poor storytelling on TNA's part. Umm actually there is a clear reason why Jarrett claimed that - he's a chickenshit heel who, in that typical form, claims he did everything and then some to his opponents, and which its clear to anyone else that its BS. Typical chickenshit heel formula. I think you are horribly abusing the word "clear" with that explanation. Even using twisted heel logic, Jarrett claiming he ran Sting out of TNA makes no sense. They're basically just shoe-horning in a new storyline without any rational set-up.

I've taken this test before, so my results would be invalid. Someone please explain how matching one letter abbreviations with various units of measurement measures intelligence? You can't, because it doesn't. This test is bullshit.

Two words to remember when discussing Ronald Reagan and scandals: "plausible deniability." And nobody's given a shit about the environment since 3-Mile Island. But there WERE plenty of right wing newsapers back then gunning for Truman and proclaiming Dewey the next president. No one gave Truman a chance of winning. This is back when people still actually read. Average Americans still voted for Truman because they understood he was the better man for the job.

I think that only applies to the people saying Kill Bill. Jesus, people, at least admit it was well-made on a visual level, even if you thought it ran too long. I think the reason we hate "Batman and Robin" so much is because we hold the characters in such high regard and it was painful to see them portrayed the way they were in that movie. Plus, your automatic tendency is to compare it to other Batman movies (especially after you've seen the excellent "Batman Begins"). Same reason praising "Pearl Harbor" will get you an eye-burning bloody death-stare from me, since I like "Tora! Tora! Tora!" so much. Same thing with "A Time to Kill" and "To Kill a Mockingbird". I have no explanation as to why I hate "Armageddon," other than it was irritating to watch on almost every level a movie can be watched. I might have liked it had it been made as a comedy instead of tear-jerking, super-patriotic, action movie. Worst movie I've ever seen? Exempting movies I've only seen on MST3K, either Highlander 2: the Quickening or The Crow: City of Angels.

His defense build-up accelerated the collapse of the Soviet Union while creating jobs for US workers, and his economic policies ended the repeated waves of inflation that crippled the US economy throughout the 1970s. While the deficits his budgets created were huge, they weren't nearly as bad as they were made out to be once you adjusted for inflation and compared them with the deficits of the past. Stephen Joseph would probably bitch-slap me for saying this, but in my opinion, Ronald Reagan's presidency was a vindication of Keynesian (not supply-side) economics.

Apparently this "Pre-9/11 mindset" includes bombing al Qaeda targets back in 1998, but does not include authorizing extra $58 million to combat al Qaeda. Or something. -
And digestion, from the looks of him.

So...Jarrett runs people out of town by loosing to them? This storyline isn't making any sense...

Doing the bait and switch with Sting was just lame on TNA's part.

Here comes Christian to save the show.

I feel like I'm watching an indy show right now. (That's not a compliment.)
