  1. Wow. I read this morning where he had pneumonia and wondered how long he would last. And still this is a shock. RIP Stu. Owen and Helen are glad to see you i'm sure.
  2. Do you think they'd fire him if he loses tonight? Peterson is rumored to be going to New York to reunite with Howe. I don't know if his mullet is manager material.
  3. You know Vince is going to cheat to win just so he can say "Stephenie didnt' screw Stephanie, Vince screwed Stephanie!!"
  4. Cena featuring Matt Hardy > Savage
  5. But do you think guys like Paul London or Spanky come in here thinking they are going to get pushed to the moon and given multiple titles? No. They come because they know its a good paycheck and they won't have to sleep in dirty hotels and share cars to save a buck. They want to live the good life.
  6. $2000 must be a standard first time offense fine.
  7. Except that it will be a Russo Renaissance. There's one itty bitty matter TNA needs to take care of before I can wipe away it's chances of going bellyup overnight. Not anymore. Russo's last show was yesterday and he won't be brought back on air OR as a writer while Hogan is around. Russo has left the building. Fuck yeah!!!!!!!
  8. Keep in mind Rob is married. Family security may be #1 on his list. As it should be.
  9. - The Maryland State Athletic Commission will likely fine WWE $2000 for having a male vs. female match at the No Mercy PPV this Sunday (Vince McMahon vs. Stephanie McMahon). Maryland does not allow male vs. female matches. A member of the commission said the following: "The commission contacted WWE and informed them that if they followed through with the match that they would exercise their right to issue the maximum fine of $2,000. WWE basically told them, we will have the check for you, we are not changing the match." 1wrestling.com
  10. I wonder what Vince would do if Rob said he'd take less money, for a world title reign?
  11. Found this on some website: He is noted for his feuds with Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Daffy Duck, and even Wile E. Coyote, who usually takes on the Road Runner. Almost invariably, Bugs comes out the winner in these conflicts, because that is in his nature. This is especially obvious in films directed by Chuck Jones, who likes to pit "winners" against "losers". Worrying that audiences would lose sympathy for an aggressor who always won, Jones found the perfect way to make Bugs sympathetic in the films by having the antagonist repeatedly bully, cheat or threaten Bugs in some way. Thus offended, (usually 3 times) Bugs would often state "Of course, you realize this means war" (a line which Jones noted was taken from Groucho Marx) and the audience gives Bugs silent permission to inflict his havoc. When Bugs meets other characters who are also "winners", however, like Cecil the Turtle in Tortoise Beats Hare, or, in WWII, the Gremlin of Falling Hare, his record is rather dismal; his overconfidence tends to work against him.
  12. I agree in some part to what you are saying, but at the same time I think a team needs its fans. The Cubs are a good team. But if they only had 2000 fans in the stand I think it would take a lot away from them. Of course the players and owners only care about $$$ but the team still represents the city and its fans. That's why they aren' t called the George Steinbrenner Yankees......at least not yet.
  13. So when at a football game a crowd is so loud they get the other team to commit a "false start" that wasn't really the fans doing it right? And that's why the player's refer to them as the 12th man, no?
  14. Looks like someone has succeeded. Thanks.
  15. Thanks for trying guys. I shall remain lower case.
  16. I agree. Can't see too many people saying: "OMG, they just did a punch followed by a kick followed by a knee to the throat followed by an elbow off the top rope, followed by a 2.5 count followed by another clothesline. They're copying Savage-Steamboat from WMIII!!!"
  17. Had to go with the old school NWA badass. Paired with Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express. Being called Flubber by Dusty Rhodes.
  18. What's a guy got to do to get a drink (or name correction) around here?
  19. Hulk Hogan vs Ric Flair, Oakland Colisseum Arena house show, which was either the first or second meeting of these two ever. Hogan vs Slaughter, aka WM7 89 Bay Area earthquake, though not at the game or anything. Although I did have sex 90 minutes before. 1991 Oakland Hills fires. While not in the fire zone, the whole East Bay was dark due to the smoke. 1999 Tracy, Ca tire fire. I live a mile away. 230,000 pounds of BENZENE put into valley air from 7,000,000 tires on fire. The fire would burn for 2 YEARS.
  20. But is that what Hogan really wants? Or does he just want to cause enough waves that Vince has no choice but to squash it by signing him for WMXX?
  21. But its impossible that they lost mentally last night after the fan interference?
  22. The software company I work for was named Gazoo after this character when they started up a few years back but then changed their name when the went public.
  23. In the end it may look that way, but had that catch been made, their would have been 2 outs. You could totally sense the momentum shift when that happened. There was something bigger at work there. Reminds me totally of the Raiders-Patriots tuck rule game. The second they ruled it wasn' t a fumble, the Raiders were deflated. Yes they still had chances to win the game, but you could feel the shift.
  24. Hard to compare the two, lol. Is Hogan planning on being there weekly or is this a Sting deal? And fuck, if JJJ retains, how would he feel about dropping the belt to someone who isn't of Hogan's legend. The answer is that he wouldn't.
  25. I love trades in sports. Deadline day trades are what have made Billy Beane a legend. It annoys me that football doesn't trade more.
