And now, taking the stage, put your hands together
spiny norman replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
I don't see what they did wrong. Honestly, they had their belief, and I disagree with it. However, it was a war, and under war conditions they didn't do anything wrong. Hell, they didn't even fight, they didn't do anything that could even be construed as being wrong, and they get eighteen years. His song was right. America isn't as free as you like to preach yourself to be. -
John Lennon - Jealous Guy Madonna - Crazy For You They be my two favourites.

Why this folder sucks in '03
spiny norman replied to rising up out of the back seat-nuh's topic in No Holds Barred
The reason this folder sucks is because it goes so off topic too often (see this thread). Chave, you were asking for a new revolution of posters to bring this folder back into the awesomeness? Well, I am becoming a frequent poster again, so I nominate myself to be leader of the revolution (and, seeing as I am one of the longest serving people here, I expect to see little opposition). Bring forth the new good posting, I say half-heartedly! -
The vet diagnosed the cat with it. It was incredibly neurotic, and any change at all (like, moving a piece of furniture) traumatised it and it would begin urinating blood and would be needed to be taken to the vet. He said it suffered from depression, and I didn't really question his judgement. Though it never seemed particularly happy, until about the last few months before it died.

Robin Williams sang Come Together on a Beatles Tribute album, Jim Carrey sang I Am The Walrus. I like Robbie musically, but I think he comes across as an absolute arsehole. Also, the line from Live At Knebworth of "I am Robbie Williams, and for the next two hours, your arse is mine!" really pissed me off.

For the first time ever I saw Conversations With Dead People last night. I am still amazed at that episode. One of the best, ever. Best of Season Seven that I've seen.
-
Yep, sure are.

Seriously, people, stop post-whoring. It's juvenile and downright silly and the board would be a better place without it. +1

My hermit crabs weren't run over, no. They all went into hibernation one winter and didn't come out. One of my cats did last quite a few years and rarely ventured out. The first time she ever went on the road was her last. Though, as I said above, she was suffering from depression, so yeah, it wouldn't suprise me if she was suicidal.

My pet history: Mr. Walker (1987-1988): A grey cat who ran away. Meggs (1989-1990): A ginger cat who ran away. Mozart (1991-1995): A gorgeous cat who was bitten by a snake and died. Buddy (1993 onwards): Half labrador, he is brown. My first real pet which was all mine. Whiskers (1995): A stray cat we picked up who my father accidentally ran over. Miss Mo (1996-2002): Our favourite cat, half Persian, suffered from depression and neurotica. Got hit by a car. Milo (1997-1998): Neighbour's cat who they left with us after they moved away. It clawed away our front door, and we were planning on moving, so we sold it. Remy (2001-2003): Cat, named after the remote control. I came home one day and found her dead in the driveway after being hit by a car. Flip (2003 onwards): New cat, she has Tourette's. Plus I've had a few hermit crabs: Shelley, Mishell, etc.

We currently have 40 musicals. Hoorah! If I get no more nominations, I'll just add 24 myself and the voting can begin. So, please nominate people. I'm not limiting the nomination amount now. Already nominated are: 8 Mile An American In Paris Anchors Away Cannibal! The Musical Chicago Dancer In The Dark Duck Soup Everyone Says I Love You Fantasia Finian's Rainbow Footloose Funny Face Godspell Grease A Hard Day's Night Head Help! I don't like Exile On Main St. I personally think that you can choose any of their 60s albums and find it much better than that. That was the album where they began losing their quality. While some tracks were as good as ever, others began leading us towards the trashiness that was 70s Stones.

Friday, January 21st, 2084. I pity those who had already bought my birthday presents.

I haven't seen A Mighty Wind, truth be told. I just assumed it was like Spinal Tap, and it wasn't classified on IMDB as a musical, so I figured it wasn't.

I don't mind any of those matches all that offensive, except I agree Austin vs. Hogan is more desirable than McMahon. The only thing I have a problem with is Foley-HHH. I think Foley-HBK is the match I'd be going for.
-
Gert T, why do you know you're going to a funeral a month and a half away? I am doing a gig with my band, incredibly boring.
-
I think Patrick Ewing, STILL GOD is Leena because I have a feeling he thinks I am.
-
Sorry, I thought I wrote that in my original post. I'll edit it in now. No stage musicals unless they have been made into a film.
-
I have been saying for years now that a song cannot be good if it does not have a cannon in it.
-
Really? I don't mind Polkaroo, he has had a few great moments.

Whoever said I can eat Vaseline is a fucking liar.

Intriguing. -
While I have no problem with that, it is a straight to video release and not many people would have seen it. Are you sure you want to nominate it, and why hasn't anybody nominated Sound Of Music/Wizard Of Oz yet?
