  1. I think even though the Spirit Squad is a dumb gimmick that it has a chance to get over. If those guys keep busting out those high flying moves and crazy stuff like that trampoline clothesline the crowd could start eating it up considering the other stale garbage that is in WWE. Of course, if they ever were to get over as anything but a comedy act the WWE would probably cut their legs out from under them.
  2. The only reason I purchased the 1999 KOTR match was for the Austin vs. McMahons ladder match. I'm a big McMahon mark and rooted for him against Austin throughout 1998 & 1999 and marked out when Vince won the Rumble (although I'd have preferred him to actually stay in there as opposed to leaving and coming back in at the end). The tournament wasn't a reason I bought the show because I thought the card was so damn predictable. Everyone knew Gunn was going to win the tournament and chances were that X-Pac was going to be in the finals as well. I definitely think the 1999 tournament was the easiest one to predict in advance as I scored the most correct on bracket predictions on this one tournament than any other wrestling tournament that's ever been held. However, I'd take the 1999 tourney over the 1995 "let's put everyone over tonight who isn't over" tourney. What a waste of pay-per-view dollars and not a good show for me as a new fan.
  3. I would assume this is from the Create-a-Wrestler feature/preset moveset that is in the game for him? Thanks for posting. Doesn't look like the WWE has any damn common sense these days with trying to get Batista back before he's healed up properly, trying to get Sid at WrestleMania, and now seeing Rey Jr. have knee problems (which leads me to believe he won't be winning the belt @ Mania).
  4. I agree that when they got rid of the eight man tournament on the PPV they really cheapened it. What was the reasoning behind doing that anyway?
  5. Totally agree with this one. I wish on live TV Cena just busted out some damn rap on HHH and shit all over him too, it would've been great. The thing that bothers me is what's next after HHH-Cena? Cena has been invested in as the future of the company as a face and the company has proceeded to cut his legs out from under him during this entire title reign. I can't see a solid face to challenge HHH in site except RVD and we all know he won't be getting the belt. What are we going to have to endure? Kane-HHH version 8,000? HHH-Big Show revisited? There are rumors of course that Rey Mysterio is headed to RAW but that'd be terrible too with HHH squashing him and probably involving interviews where he'd joke about Mysterio's size and what not. After all, Mysterio is probably the #2 over face in the company at the moment. All in all, it just appears as if this company builds a star just to have them kiss HHH's ass and step up to the plate to get buried to add to the luster of HHH's career. Just despicable.
  6. Not surprised by this. Carlito it appears has started including more moves into his matches (guess the WWE brass allowed him too) and I am finding him to be one of the funniest guys on the microphone in the WWE at the moment. If he keeps this up he could be approaching Rock levels in the next year or so. Then again, I totally expect the WWE to push the hell out of Masters anyway since they keep talking about him becoming "the youngest ever WWE Champion" and it wouldn't surprise me if he gets the Batista treatment with HHH by WM 23 next year. Of course, this would have the WWE overlook Carlito but there's no way he'll be the #1 heel on RAW with HHH at the helm so his best shot is to get drafted back over to Smackdown! which is where the WWE should send Cena this summer as well after his feud with the "King of Kings."
  7. It'll be brought back when HHH feels the need to bury the entire roster....probably around 2010 or 2012 when he's on the road to his sixteenth or twentieth title reign.
  8. Wow, so that way HHH gets to squash his idol and bury the two stars pegged to be the top faces in the company. Yuck.
  9. If they'd actually let Cena return to his pre-WWE title reign personality and start cutting some more risky raps then he'd be less stale and the crowd would buy into it more. However, I don't think we'll be seeing any of that stuff because god forbid a risky rap might hurt HHH's image as the "King of Kings."
  10. That's written so beautifully and carries so much truth it brings a tear to my eye. Amen.
  11. I totally agree with you but it's not like the guy has any other choice. However, it'd be hilarious if he just said to hell with it sooner or later and called stuff how he saw it for one evening.
  12. I was getting behind Marty breaking the Masterlock and so was the crowd and then McMahon just ruined it. Oh well. At least I got to mark out for Flair tonight.
  13. Vince just standing there with his pants down as Michaels is in the ring is hilarious.
  14. Jannetty is going to be the first to break the Masterlock?
  15. Jannetty is finding it hard to keep a straight face.
  16. Maybe they'll book Kane-Big Show vs. Carlito-Masters for the tag titles @ WM now?
  17. Wow, I just marked out big time for that. Nice swerve.
  18. Hogan doing the induction? Figured they'd find a way to overshadow Bret.
  19. That SNME match better end in either a Smackdown! win or a schmoz. If it doesn't and HHH/Cena triumph that would be absolutely ridiculous and total bury the entire Smackdown! brand...not that I'd put it past the WWE to do just that.
  20. Holy crap, ain't that the truth! And most of the time the professor hasn't taught in a school in 10 years. Teacher education needs to be: okay, here's a wide variety of sample lesson plans and methods we're going to try. Teacher education is all learning theory (and only the theories the particular professor likes) and pedagogical terminology (which is just an attempt by the learning theories people to sound like they know more than they do), and not enough practical application. Perfect example: the anticipatory set. All that is is the practice of getting the kids' attention before you start teaching to get them thinking about what it is you'll be teaching about. Simple, common sense idea, right? So instead of making me read 5 chapters on the anticipatory set and why Madeline fucking Hunter thinks its so goddamn important, how about actually showing me some attention getting activities that work???? There's a reason most teachers suck for the first 2-3 years. I should have you talk to the head of the Teacher Education Department at my college. Same here.
  21. Problem with teaching is all of the damn idiotic classes they have to take. I'm in teacher education classes at the moment and they are a freakin' joke. It's like going back to kindergardten. No wonder people are avoiding the profession.
  22. Next RAW that Stacy returns at = HHH giving her a Pedigree. Callin' it right now.
