The Smiths: The Queen Is Dead The Doors: The Soft Parade

Love: Da Capo Pre-Forever Changes and surprisingly more experimental, some insane changes in time signature and some excellent musicianship. Six great songs and one bad one, Revelation, which goes on for 19 minutes or so..merely a bland rocker. The Smiths: Meat Is Murder Not as good as The Smiths or The Queen Is Dead, but still very good. Will listen to Strangeways in the coming days too. Doors: Waiting For The Sun Pretty strange stuff here, and I'm not sure what to make of it, but hell, it's The Doors!!

Wouldn't a Smiths 'best of' start with 'Hand In Glove' anyway?

Currently fourth with three teams breathing down our neck. Out the Scottish Cup in the 2nd round. Best we can do this year is 4th. Shame how one weekend can alter your view of a team's abilities.

To be honest, Miles Davis is exceptional. I'm talking about current acts or old bands with prominently available work, although all power to you for knowing all this stuff. I have Kind Of Blue and don't particularly like it. Probably very good though.

People who claim to like bands after hearing radio-hits or a few songs off an album, or own a greatest hits album. I have to have heard at least half of a band's entire catalogue to determine whether they are worthy, which is probably why I get the 'only likes five bands' tag.
