Raekwon The Chef, Method Man, Ghostface Killah & Cappadonna - Ice Cream

I wonder if i have the record for most pointless retirements/comebacks in SWF history, surely i'd have to be close by now. Hopefully this time will finally be the time i manage to stick around without no-showing for more than a couple of weeks. At the very least a title shot and my first ever cage match should get me off to a good start.

Well a much better day today takes me from 1-7 down to up 6-2, but i seriously doubt it'll last. Here's the matchups for the final day: Jerry Stackhouse, Samuel Dalembert, Maurice Taylor, Morris Peterson, Jiri Welsch & Walter McCarty vs. Shaquille O'Neal, Andrei Kirilenko, Corey Maggette, Gilbert Arenas & two out of Larry Hughes, Chris Bosh and Bonzi Wells. It's a rag-tag bunch of bums and a Stackhouse that's injured and not playing much against a lineup of all good-great players. Shaq alone will kill me, i don't have nearly enough of a lead to absord the damage Whalers lineup will do.

Will he be coming back with the unibrow?

Down 7-1 i'm not particularly liking my chances, hopefully adding Walter McCardy, Morris Peterson and Maurice Taylor to give me maximum players for the rest of the matchup will net me enough stats to barely squeak past this week. Other than Garnett and Allen my teams stunk even more than usual this week, so i'm going to need a miracle to get the win. And even if i somehow manage to win that gives me the Guerreros next matchup, and they killed me 8-0 when i actually still had a decent team, i shudder to think how badly i'd go down now.

Since the whole Raw roster was happy to see him go when he was drafted to Smackdown, now that he's back he can probably spend time going over various members of the roster as revenge while he's filming whatever it is he's doing, and once that's done he can go get the title back/feud with Edge/whatever.

28-32 is prime, 33+ you decline, do you acknowledge this?
-
I'm sure he'd be eager to bring it up, since outside of bitter WCW fans i doubt there's many people who still give a shit about Arquette in any way.

I think JRE is right, those look like cuts of meat behind him and he's either holding onto some sort of meat hook or a giant saw. It's hinting at Abdullah the Butcher coming in to feud with Benoit!
-
Suzuki will probably get the 'Hoss of the Month' push most big guys seem to get upon coming in (Nathan Jones, Matt Morgan, John Heidenwhatever etc.), but thankfully he'll likely not get much further than heat fodder.

The gimmick had outlived it's usefulness about half a decade ago, for him to still be stuck with it in this day and age just shows how much the WWE still cares about giving Val anything useful to do. He may have been a star of the future at one point, but since then new people the WWE considers the stars of the future have come in and Val's just been swept aside.
-
Unfortunately for me i doubt this will find it's way to Australia, but still if the WWE doesn't screw things up (big if for this company) this should be a very positive move, it's about time they started making more use of that video library they own.

I'd never heard that theory before, but seeing as how the booking went down, I can believe it. If i remember correctly Russo wanted Jarrett to reach Flair's 16 or whatever title reigns and base a feud between them off it. Of course there's plenty of ways Jarrett and Flair could have feuded without devaluing the title immemsly, but that's Russo for you.

Portland is the longest with 21 straight appearances, 1 ahead of Utah's 20 straight and 1 short of tying the all-time record of 22 by Syracuse/Philadelphia. After them the next longest streak is 9 by the Lakers, soon to be 10 straight. As a Portland fan i hope they can sneak into the playoffs to tie the record, but the way all three teams are going up and down who knows, i'd probably lean towards the Jazz at this point in time. Who would have thought going into the season that Portland's 3rd last game of the season vs. Denver would have serious playoff implications. Looking at Portland's season they've beaten the Kings three times and the T-Wolves three times, any team that can play like that against the best teams in the league shouldn't be fighting an uphill battle to just barely scrape into the playoffs. Oh well, with Randolph, Ratliff, Abdur-Rahim and friends all together with for a full year, i guess they can get started on another 20+ year playoff streak next season after they blow it this year (and with their last game of the year against the Lakers, it's just setting it up nicely for them to screw up like in a certain Western Conference Finals Game 7 from not too long ago).

My overall chances really died with Kenyon Martin being hurt/rested, though now that i dropped him and he's been picked up by someone else just watch him come back and start playing again. For this matchup at least i may have gotten a tiny break, with Corey Maggette missing a game and Arenas hurting himself again. With every game they miss my chances go up quite a bit.
-
By my calculations i win 5-3, sealing up the 6th and final spot in the playoffs. So it looks like it'll be me up against Whalers on the Moon first up, i really need Quentin Richardson to get playing again if i'm to have any chance.

JR and Tazz have worked pretty well the few times they've been together so maybe they could be a good team, but that would leave Cole/Lawler on the other show. I don't overly mind Cole, but that's not a commentary team i want to be hearing anytime soon.
-
Well Kenyon Martin looks to be rested for the rest of the season just like Kidd, so i'm probably in a hole come playoff time as well, especially as i'll likely be facing the 1st place team. And Q-Rich has his millionth injury of the season, out with back spasms. Hopefully it's minor, after being forced to downgrade K-Mart to Szczerbiak i really need Richardson around.
