The OAO Official SWF 2006 Party Birthday Thread

*insert something suitably gothic and foreboding, yet furry* ... Janus, forget about the 'insert' part of that statement, would you? -
Don't come your revisionist history with ME, Raynor. We all know what was stated there, and none of your ducking and diving will save you from the war crimes tribunal held at the Hague. Yes, the Hague. It's in the Netherlands.

I'm sort of with Bruce, I think; occasional House Rules matches are alright for the Hardcore Title, but not all the time by any means. I don't think they should be allowed near the other titles, and we CERTAINLY don't want a title just for them NO WAY IN HELL. As for tag teams, one person teams would bulk the division out while two-person teams obviously mean less work for each person, so i don't think they'd diminish in popularity beyond what they are now... which is virtually non-existant. You wanna increase tag teams? Lose the International belt. Then you've got Hardcore, CW, and World. Anyone who doesn't want or doesn't fit into any of those categories needs to be in a tag team for chance at gold. Just a thought.

I take it my Hardcore Title isn't on the line here? And for what it's worth, if I'd thought I'd get shoved into a 5000-word match this week straight after the delayed Battleground you'd have got a "don't book" from me as well, but ho hum. Incidentally Raynor, when the fuck did Germany end up being a part of England? If you were talking about our last tour of Europe that I could understand. I guess Americans really don't know the difference after all...

A shame about the early no-shows, and clearly Spike and Zyon were BOTH too emo to turn in a match. However congrats to Blank for insanity, Hawke for his usual good performance, WC for not only fending off Drea but also getting some of the wackiness going (like pasting druids in the head with t-shirts from t-shirt guns) and most particularly, Landon for becoming two-time World Heavyweight Champion by beating JJ Johnson, not an easy feat. EDIT: Oh, and Grendel. Yay for the pseudo-n00b!

Britons. BRITONS! You only spell it with two 'T's if you are either Akira or Michael Cross!
-
And like, you know, fuck that shit man. On the other hand, given that Raynor had 17 minutes to mark the Air Raid match, at least more than one person showed for it.
-
Yeah, but, yo mama.
-
Will Maddix learn what it feels like to have someone suggest a long, complicated stip to you and then no-show? I'm telling ya, FTF 05 comes back to haunt us both matey...

Regarding the Charisma thing, I kind of agree. I mean, no-one's ever gone "hey, you can't write a promo that good! Your charisma isn't high enough!" Put simply, I couldn't have written Toxxic no-selling someone's finisher, because his Vitality was nowhere near high enough. On the other hand, Kibagami could give Silent Charisma 1, and still write a fucking awesome promo if he so chose. And it's not like anyone pays any attention to it in terms of match-writing. For example, Danny Williams had Charisma 1 in his last run, but during our World Tour he still put himself over as the biggest thing in Asia since Hansen and Misawa all rolled into one, with the crowd SOLIDLY behind him. Granted, he didn't have Danny speak much, but the crowd was behind him nonetheless. And if Danny Williams doesn't think something is worth paying attention to when writing a match, then why the hell should anyone else? However, since Drea came up with the first stat template, I believe the blame for this can be laid at her feet. Or fingertips, maybe.

Spike in eyeliner = Emo-Edge Sensation Seriously, I'm gonna have to call gimmick infringement on you in so many ways! Love the promo though.

Big Polynesian guy with full facial tattoos wrecking shit? Bah. Done in the SWF, late 2003 with Va'aiga. Vince rips us off again.

This fed needs more Mr. Bukkake.

Ah, thought I knew the name from somewhere. And if anyone has a claim to being the Cruiserweight Fairy then, as the only person on here who runs a gay clubnight, I feel I pwn j00 awl.

I'm disappointed no-one has mentioned that I had Joe Peters come out to MVS's own rapping.

You want proof? You can't handle the proof!
-
Maybe she should leave a message under Sly's telling him to lose weight fast.
-
Not 'sure', exactly. More 'praying'. Although it wouldn't have been quite the same without Riley anyway. I loved writing that double-act. Maybe I should come back as TKO and bring my own announce team to REALLY up the Heel meter...
-
Another question? If the CW limit is 230lbs, why is Sly wrestling for the title when he's 237lbs? I know you hate me. Shush.
-
For the record, you can't write as more than one persona of Alan Clark at once. And if you bring back the Wayward Sons, I will be forced to rename you the Boy Scouts again, and kill you all.
-
You mean when the TKO monster truck ran over Cucaracha International's limo that'd been done before? By my own fucking tag team partner? ...bloody fed.
-
But if you only controlled a maximum of two, then you'd never have to. I think this should be just for tag purposes though, not to get people into controlling more than one wrestler in singles competition. I mean, if I was controlling both of TKO and then decided I'd have enough of tagging I wouldn't break the team up and then keep writing with, say, TORU as heel and KOJI as face. I'd just send KOJI back to Japan and write with TORU until I was ready to go back to the tag division again.
-
Who's R. Lee Emery?
-
But if it comes to that we could even restart the JL. Quite apart from that, if we had a larger roster and the shows were divided it'd make booking easier, as you'd have a clearer idea of who should be booked and who wouldn't need to. Besides, it might get us more tag teams. Lord knows that'd be a plan. What do people think about one person being able to write a tag team? So say, me being able to write as TKO for tag matches, maybe using TORU as my main character and KOJI used for singles matches to build to a specific tag match? Bruce could do the same with the Blank Brothers, and I dunno, people could introduce a partner, or train up a manager or something...
-
Bruce, I stand for tradition. You are the despicable new wave... no, in fact you're nu-wave, and therefore must be shunned. Fie on you for renaming one of our titles, heathen!
