  1. Slayer

    Iron Maiden

I picked it up right before the store closed, but have yet to listen to it yet. A good sign is that the cover art is damn good, especially in light of the previous CD's cover
  2. I'm not digging Cameron's new hair
  3. Back when Mmmbop came out, I did think it was the worst song ever... however there have been numerous songs since then that make it look like "Hey Jude" by comparison
  4. My first venture was through P2P, where I d/led a few songs (I remember "Joe's Garage" and "Night School" offhand) at the beginning of the decade and that was it, really... then I bought YCDTOSAv1 and that started everything. Since Zappa's live discography kills his studio set, I would recommend starting off with the YCD set (primarily 1, 2 and 4). For studio works, Sheik Yerbouti and Hot Rats, then Joe's Garage and You Are What You Is When I get home, I'll offer up my opinion on the '88 band
  5. Thanks guys
  6. Working. Random responses: By contrast to you two, I've been on a major drought from my primary interest (metal) and listening to almost nothing but Zappa (or prog/hard rock) over the summer. I agree with Agent that MFU is definitely one of the last ones to check out. Most of the good songs on there have better live versions on the YCDTOSA series, and the only other good song on there is "The Radio is Broken". JFH, while one of my personal favorites, would also scare away a good number of Zappa beginners... though one of the first Zappa songs I got hooked on was "Night School", so your mileage may vary. All the good songs from SUAPYG could easily be condensed onto a single CD. More to come.
  7. to unview uploaded pics? The "Do you wish to view images in posts, such as smilies and posted images?" disable on "My Controls" only seems to work on linked images, but not on pics u/led to the TSM server And, yes, this is in response to raz's sudden fecal fascination. I can tolerate a lot of images, including gay porn or bodies sliced in half, but feces is where I draw the line
  8. One of many reasons why I ceased buying WWE DVDs a long time ago. Music royalties creating difficulties for DVD releases isn't exclusive to the E, either.
  9. BTW, as far as the hits off Nevermind are concerned, I'd take "Lithium" and "In Bloom" over SLTS
  10. Nice to see the production booth POV
  11. Is that our friend Lin... I mean, Nikki?
  12. When will people learn "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" is not an appropriate sendoff song?
  13. The major rumor bits I've seen have it as being up in the air, with no confirmation as to it remaining or going. Shame if it gets pulled though... while I can't find the full song, I liked what I heard in the preview video, and I'd definitely take it over shite like A7X or LOG
  14. "Bring the Noise" by Public Enemy + Anthrax
  15. Slayer

    TWiB 9/4 - 9/10

When was the last one? Johnson's perfect game?
  16. You'll not get away that easily
  17. Hair metal was waning by that point, but there were still some good new songs getting MTV/radio airplay in '91... plus The Black Album came out that year.
  18. "Canadian supermen are our superiors."
  19. Frogg seems more like a mason than a roofer
  20. Ban him from LSD too, so we don't have to hear any more stories about weight benches or threesomes with his right and left hand. Hell, just isolate him to the the upper-half of the board. He's probably smarter than the average WWE folder poster anyway
  21. It's like the first reign of Gene, except with harsher language
  22. You'll never stop him. His cart-pushing gives him powers beyond mere mortal mods
  23. Man, to echo an earlier post of mine, I see a lot of those and think "Good band choice, bad song-by-that-band choice"
  24. They had to do something with the leftover SNF guys! I just got back from going out of town for the day. What the hell happened in Tennessee
