Decent episode, but a lot of it only confirmed what I said in this post earlier today. I wish they'd do a lot more straightforward jokes, like Peter arguing with the judge. The first half of the third segment looked promising and I thought they could end the episode without overresorting of referential humor, but it went downhill after the flight into the sewer

Well, since you haven't seen any new episodes, it'd be hard for you to identify what I'm talking about, but here goes... My biggest problem with the new FGs is that the episode plots have taken a back seat to the gags. With the older classic episodes you had a good flowing plot with gags mixed in that, while seemingly distracting, were so funny that they did add to the episode as a whole. The first two episodes from this season (Passion 2 and Chris' teacher) were very good episodes in the same vain of classic older FG. However, after that, it either seemed like the episodes had non-sequitir plots, a la recent Simpsons, or just a string of gags with no real plot at all. And a lot of the gags aren't even that great anymore... it seems like he's just adding in nostalgic stuff like He-Man and Star Wars just for the sake of it, although a lot of people here seem to be eating it up. "OMG it's He Man d00d!" or "OMG he dubbed in the audio from the end of Star Wars!" and the like, as if a ten second gag made the entire episode good. If I wanted to see a string of gags and laugh maybe twice in a half-hour while sitting stone faced the rest of the time, I'd watch any episode of The Simpsons from the last five years. By contrast, I've come to love American Dad, but it's nowhere near as popular among the MacFarlane fanboys here.

They didn't really hook up, it was just Fry's amateur holophone composition... though I guess anything could be left to the viewer's imagination. That's as far as I took it though. If their revival is anything like the FG comeback, I don't want to see it.

I went to college for a year after HS and dropped out, at the time using every opportunity to blame the system in my disillusioned late-teenager state. Later I would come to admit that it was my fault for lacking self-discipline. Plus I discovered being a stocker, fun as it was, was no way to live (like kkk said, "sucker"). Now I work for the very system I once railed against. Life is good.

What I remember from the WMXX match was the crowd booing Michaels when he did superkick-telegraphing-stomp, rather than the usual "crowd stomps along with Michaels" bit. Being an anti-Michaels guy, this amused me greatly.

I loved Lament of Innocence (which I played at a friend's place, since I haven't had a PS2 for over two years), personally... though I wouldn't mind seeing another SotN styled game

Although I still cringed at a couple points, I did get a couple good laughs. The show could only go up for me after the disastrous Bachelor episode, really. What's the deal with AD right now? I hope Fox isn't waffling on it, because I've been enjoying it a lot more than most of these new FG episodes

I honestly believe they changed the recipe for FP... it was my favorite cereal from the age of five even up to about three years ago, but they changed something about it and now it tastes fucking nasty... they probably cut the sugar (in response to the sugar-scare and anti-carb-craze perhaps?) and changed up the formula. Fucking shame...
