  1. The worst example of that ever was Michael Wilbon flipping out about the Philly fans booing Kobe Bryant at the all star game.
  2. Well, they did put Benoit below Angle in the outstanding wrester list. That's all I got. Is Matt Capotelli actually turning into something decent or is he just on the rookie list from process of elimination?
  3. I think after the USA-Columbia game, when the Columbian scored in his own goal, the guy got shot when he returned home.
  4. Yeah and remember how Domi sprayed water on the guy to incite him. And I really don't recall "Crackhead" chants. I recall cheers, but no crackhead chants. And I find it funny that two batteries being thrown by two nitwits on JD Drew's first game at the vet, has turned into the "annual" battery throwing. I am not going to justify some of the stupid behavior. People are idiots, Philly has an inferiority complex, and they drink a whole lot of beer. Add all of that up and you get stupid stuff. But it is bullshit that all these stories get blown up. Hey, remember that time that a fan ran out of the stands at a Phillies game and attacked a first base coach? And the time they tried to run out of the stands to attack an umpire? Or when fans chanted "wifebeater" at Jason Kidd? What do you mean those didn't happen in Philly? No stupid fan shit happens anywhere but Philly. P.S. The Raiders fans are posers playing dressup.
  5. PRIDE 17: Championship Chaos
  6. Just wait til this week. The start of the game being two hours later than last week means two more hours of drunken tailgaiting goodness. They really need to start having the parking lot being a dry area and police it a bit.
  7. "You know what I could do with that money? You don't know what I could do with that money. I could do some thangs with that money."
  8. I'm amused that Kurt "Three I's, Olympic hero" Angle is tied with Quinton "The biggest fight of my life is coming up. I can't even get head without thinking about it" Jackson.
  9. I can't believe Tommy Hutton got mentioned, but I will second that. Joe Jurevicious' reception in the NFC title game last year. 2001 Daytona 500 Turn 4
  10. I don't mind this if it is just going to be a one year trial to start. I would like to see them somehow implement a playoff, but I don't really like this idea. For it to work, to me, they would have to change the schedule around so the Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, etc. were in the final 10 races. I have to laugh though, that this is being implemented this year. Sure Winston Cup was a blowout this past year, but the same point system was used in the truck series and the Busch series and they produced two of the greatest title races ever.
  11. Does Dirk still qualify as a center?
  12. Put Shockey on the cover. I wouldn't mind seeing him miss another year.
  13. Even taking that 2 points in the last 6 games into account, he is still a plus 3 in 10 games where the Flyers have sucked the meat missile. So at the worst he isn't hurting the team, which leads me to the description of decent to characterize his play. Jesus christ, you might have thought they gave up an entire farm system for him.
  14. There you go. I edited that prediction for you. I don't see the rest of it happening if it hasn't already.
  15. In 10 games with the Flyers he has 7 points, is a +3, and is only getting 12 minutes of ice time a game. To be a plus in the last 10 Flyers games he has to be doing something right.
  16. Wow, I said he was fantastic. Funny I don't see that. And he was responsible for 2 goals in a 2-1 victory. So there is at least one win he has by himself.
  17. Which is the better card, this or the UFC event coming up? Still new at this and don't have the funds to be getting everything.
  18. If it wasn't for Comrie, their record would be even worse. He has been one of their only decent players. But the defense has gone all to hell, no one else can score, and Jeff Hackett is terrible. I enjoyed last night though. That was the type of embarrasing loss that can make a GM realize he needs to make changes.
  19. The PPV premiere of this event is going to be Feb. 8th. Good idea on the cable companies' part to not schedule a PPV on Super Bowl Sunday.
  20. Look at it hypothetically though as what would be remembered if both teams could win.
  21. 10 years from now, which play will be remembered in the echelon of "The Catch"?
  22. Ok, ESPN just ran a top 10 plays of the postseason list. Time for a declaration of shenanigans. 2. 4th and 26 1. Steve Smith 2OT catch. That's crap. 4th and 26 saved the Eagles season and was the single most improbable play I have ever seen. If Freddie Mitchell drops that ball, the Eagles season is over. If Steve Smith drops his ball, the Panthers at worst punt (I forget which down it was). Steve Smith's play was a great play 4th and 26 is the stuff of legend
  23. I am going to take the easy route and say Pats/Eagles in the Super Bowl. Neither team has really shown a reason to doubt them. Eagles: Reason: Can't stop the run They haven't stopped the run in three months and are 11-1 in that span. Why I think they will win: When the whistle blows, they will have the best player on the field in McNabb. If the game is close, he is the player most likely to take over the game. Also, they are the single most resiliant team I have ever seen. They aren't as good as the previous seasons, but this is the team I would never bet against of the three. Throw in the wacky winds of the Linc, that Akers is growing accustomed to while Kasay will have never seen them. All of that to me says an Eagles win. Pats: They share the same trait as the Eagles. They just win. Their defense puts that Chiefs farce of a D to shame. So at worst I think you are looking at a 21-24 point output from the Colts. At that point the Pats can score that much against a Colts D that didn't look terrific against the Chiefs. Plus the Broncos and Chiefs went into the postseason with no emotion/momentum, that isn't the case here. I see no reason to believe the Pats can't pull out win no.14.
  24. They haven't stopped the run for the last three months.
