I'm also terrified of drowning. It's the one true thing I'm afraid of. Other than, you know, black people.

What's funny is that I think I read in the Washington Post some time back (or maybe it was their free daily, "The Express") that, in regards to Summers remarks, there were quite a few researchers who had come out in his defense to state that indeed there ARE differences in the genders in lines of academic achievement (although to be fair, actual intelligence is even between the two).

Oh look, it's Jokey McJokerton, coming to enlighten us as to what is and is not quality humor.
-
Well? How much ARE they? I need a dollar amount, please.

Heidenreich as Akeem 2005? Well, the WWE may have found a way to make me like the guy. In a train wreck sort of way. I take it back, fuck the WWE. I don't even LIKE Orton, but this "everyone is scared of the Undertaker" shit got old YEARS ago. I know we've debated the merits of Orton winning / not winning against Taker at Mania, but even for those who don't want to see him come out with the victory at WM21, you have to admit that booking him like a pussy against Taker (which is how EVERYONE is booked against Taker) is just a stupid fucking idea. I mean, shit, even if he lost in a glorified squash (which is what I think it'll be) at the PPV, him actually stepping UP to Taker, showing courage to all of his low-rent voodoo, would do more to get him over.

I'm with Mike, Impact looks atrocious for the next 2 weeks. TNA does one good thing (SHOCKER~!) and continues about 8 different bad ones (Phi Delta Slam, the Harris Bros., Dustin Rhodes, Brown heel turn, Jarrett with the title STILL, etc.). Man, fuck Dusty Rhodes.
-
Exactly. Personally, I want to know the whereabout of this man:

Well, I suppose my days as a frivolous youth portraying a 8th generation Brujah antitribu automatically disqualifies me. A shame, because the Israelis could use the Sabbat on their side.

Wha.... WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?!?!?!

Oh Jesus, cut the heavy-handed melodrama. You're overreacting, badly. Even though it's cliche to rage against it at this point, I'm just reiterating my hatred of our PC culture these days. Where everything has to be fucking sanitized for your protection because people are apparently too fucking sensitive to deal anything that could remotely resemble edgy comedy. I'm just a bit saddened at the fact that if a film like "Blazing Saddles" was made in today's culture, Mel Brooks would be burned at the stake. Calm the fuck down. I know you're ESPECIALLY sensitive to this issue because of your orientation, but quit getting your knickers in a twist. I believe I've said before on this board, several times, that I don't have a single problem with gays getting married. But I ain't gonna crucify KKK for making an off-colour joke about the subject.
-
AGAIN, the difference is that this was a joke, even if it was a tasteless one, whereas we all know that when INXS says things like that he really means them. Or is just being stupid. But really, I'm gonna side with KKK here. Was what he said really THAT offensive? Even if it was.....eh, deal with it. Man, America, you've changed. I miss the old days when people didn't use to be so goddamn sensitive to brutal, mean-spirited, angry comedy.

At least it's not Whedon.

Gentlemen, I thought of two words when I read KKK's post, and those two words were: "Failed Mascot". My blood ran cold. I said a prayer for KKK. You want me to be honest? I made the EXACT same joke to a friend of mine earlier today, when I read the news on the net during class. And I have to agree with Kahran. The difference between KKK and C-Bacon / INXS is that KKK just likes SHOCK~! humor. C-Bacon says absurd / offensive shit because he means it. INXS says it because he's a moron.

My friend, there's nothing to be ashamed about, watching Gargoyles. One of the best animated series EVAR. -
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Medal of Honor. I honestly think that, given the right director and script, they could develop that game franchise into a movie of "Saving Private Ryan" quality.

You mean, if Luke knew that Anakin was really a whiny bitch who somehow managed to score with a hot chick way out of his league, and a bad actor to boot? I would like to think he'd wash his hands of him, yeah.

I hope he's got some ability. He looked pretty good for the couple of spots he had last night but the best thing they could say about him was that he's in a McDonalds commercial. I point this out only because of how much emphasis and importance they put on that. I'm supposed to mark out for this guy because he's been in a commercial. He is pretty good. Did you like Garza? I personally would rate him higher than Hector, overall. The one thing I am curious about is whether Shocker will have crossover appeal with the non-latin fans. I think he can, but it'll be interesting to see how they book him. Unexpected does not necessarily = good. Valid argument. However, your statement alone does nothing to convince me that this was a prudent course of action, turnign Brown, when they could just promote any number of their current heels into a main event position, such as Abyss, or Christopher Daniels, or Raven.

Figure it out Wrestling and Scott Hall do not mix. Every time you read Hall is clean and sober, he returns to wrestling and a short time later falls off the wagon. This has happened numerous times. I've never been one much for "what ifs", but honestly.......how much do you think Hall would have accomplished in his career had he been able to pull his shit together years ago?

Holy fuck, Marty Janetty is on my TV screen now.

Goddamn, in this folder, I agree with just about everything RRR has to say on a subject. Not so much in other folders, but definitely in this one.
-
In general? No. Certain Canadian members of this board, I would argue yes.

I like Julian McMahon, but I really would prefer Clive Owens. I didn't feel that way before, but I've been sold on Owens. And he would absolutely make a great Bond.

Don't act like one, and it won't be so easy for us to do so.

And yes, Shocker is pretty good in the ring. If they want a new latin guy to fill the role that they were going to give to Garza, than they can't do much better than Shocker (assuming that he is going to be given that role). He's a big improvement over Apolo, that's for sure. BTW, for those who are more into lucha than I am: doesn't Shocker speak English very well? I could swear I heard him speak English on CMLL once and it sounded as if he was very fluent. EDIT: I know CMLL owns the rights, but damnit, I'd love for TNA to start selling those T-shirts. I'd buy a 1000% Guapo shirt in a heartbeat. Same with 1000% RUDO~!
