Hey, Jericho2000Mark -- you suck! But wait, let's delve into it a bit more. You touch on something interesting amidst your "I hate everyone Hoff loves" rant -- the HBK kip-up spot. We all know the spot; Michaels has been getting his ass kicked for, like, a year, and then POW, he's on his feet. Clearly he must have a poor grasp of in-ring psychology! WRONG Here's the thing. Pro wrestling is not amateur wrestling. It's not mixed martial arts, it's not shoot fighting, it's nothing close to real fighting of any kind. It's a form of physical storytelling, more akin to a comic book than anything else. Yes, it is a form of sport, and it should logically follow. But to sacrifice drama for the sake of logic is not only boring, but it doesn't sell tickets. The reason that the live crowds cheer like mad for that spot is because they want to see the hero come back from the brink of oblivion. They want to see him regain his strength to vanquish a deadly foe. That's why the formula has worked so well for so long. Michaels bumps like a pinball, making his opponent look like a killer, then finds the inner fire to come back and win against overwhelming odds. It's the same thing Cena does, and thus far, that formula has worked well for the E. Never mind the overlooked point by anyone who criticizes the spot -- that it's NOT out of nowhere. Usually, Michaels will counter a move, hit some chops, maybe an atomic drop, then usually hits the flying forearm before the kippup. Formulaic, yes, but hardly "out of nowhere." J2M, I'm not meaning to single you out or start a fight, you're totally entitled to your view. You just happened to mention the kip-up spot, which always gets criticized, and I wanted to provide a counterpoint that maybe it's not such bad psychology -- just not what you or others may appreciate. Yeah!

BACKLASH MAIN EVENT LET'S TALK ABOUT IT Random related question: Of the four in said match (Cena, Michaels, Orton, Edge), who is your favorite, and why? In fact, rank them from 1 to 4 in terms of how much you enjoy them. I'd say: 1. Michaels. Amazingly athletic worker, especially for his age, who knows how to tell a story and loves to entertain. Whether you like his work or hate it, he's not boring. 2. Orton. Yeah yeah yeah. I think Randy is actually a very smart wrestler who tells a better story than Edge, although Edge is definitely a better talker. Orton mat wrestles (lol chinlocks) very well, and can sell well too. 3. Edge. Great talker. I actually look forward to the Cutting Edge, when it's not what it was on Monday. He's great in his role. In-ring, he's in great shape and he can really go, but I'm not as into how he puts matches together. He works well with Cena, as both men seemingly just go in and fight, with no rhyme or reason other than "kill each other." That's cool and it's probably more realistic, but I prefer a more psychological style. 4. Cena. Which is not to say I don't like Cena, I do. But he is what he is. I think he's underrated as a talker by most smarks, because he's cliched and because he does rip off Rock a little bit. But he has his shtick and it works on him. In the ring, he's improved leaps and bounds, but outside of a hot finish he's not much for psychology or putting a match together. I go into any Cena match expecting 2 or 3 stars, and that's usually what I come out with.

Hmm. Actually, at one point I had been considering Seattle, as I have friends there. Recently I've been looking elsewhere, but any time that area of the country comes up, people do speak fondly of it, be it for the contemporary culture or the picturesque scenery. Backlash's main event looks pretty nice. For those who haven't heard, it's Cena © vs. Michaels vs. Orton vs. Edge. As a fan of all four, I'm quite excited. TSM, your thoughts?

Try it for a quarter of a century. The snow itself isn't so bad, nor the cold, but it's the bullshit with it -- bad roads, shoveling the walk, brushing your car off every morning...tiresome. And then we get maybe a month of spring/fall (less this year, if trends continue), and then a lot of heat and storms and tornadoes. I'm not looking forward to possible hurricanes, and I know it gets muggy (bogues?), but I'm ready for a change of scenery. That being said, thanks for the input. I appreciate it.

So, I've been contemplating moving for the last couple years. Florida has always been on my radar, and while looking at housing on the East coast side, I ran across a little place in Palm Bay, which led me to nearby Melbourne. I did some digging, and...it looks really, really nice. Seems like a very strong community, and several websites mentioned a strong economy in that area of the country. The job sites seem to have many opportunities, as well. So now I want to hear from people that live in that area. What's it like? What's the culture, the atmosphere? How @#$% tight is living near the ocean? In all seriousness, anyone over in that area on the "space coast" who has experiences to share, I'd love to hear them.

This was a really good show, except for the main event. Two good tag matches, a SWEET semi-main event in Orton/HBK (I'm calling it ***+ even with the terrible finish), a decent women's match (even Candice wasn't terrible), and honestly, I thought the Make-a-Wish kid thing was very cool, and classy, and I thought it was entertaining in a sugary sort of way. All the major players were on their game (the Cena promo was FINE, not "horrible" at all), and the show was genuinely fun to watch.
